This is my third project with DUO Design Studio and I would like to highly recommend Christa and Gregorie for your next interior design project. Our most recent project was a $250k renovation property at the Cliff Vineyards in Sunset, South Carolina.

The project entailed a complete remodel with new furniture, artwork, light fixtures and layout. We remodeled two kitchens and three bathrooms. They were very creative in using some of existing cabinets and granite to reduce costs.

DUO Design Studio developed the entire concept and worked with my contractor to come up with a budget and schedule. Christa and Gregorie developed a design that exceeded our expectations. They were key in keeping my contractor on time and on budget. DUO Design Studio relationships with their distributors for a wide range of products saved us $10's of thousands of dollars off of retail. DUO Design Studio creativity came up with so many design improvements that we could not have envisioned. They gave us several options on all major purchases and always stayed within in our budget. Christa and Gregorie are so fun to work with I now consider them good friends.

I did not realizes the value of DUO Design Studio until I recently started a renovation project of a property I purchased in Turks and Caicos. Gregorie and Christa are the incredible women behind Duo Design!!! My husband and I bought a house we liked but these women--along with talented and fun Shelby--have transformed our home into a beautiful home we love. They listened to what I wanted, worked with our budget, were patient when I was being stubborn about design choices, and have been enthusiastic and positive throughout the entire process.

All three designers have fun personalities, which makes the time together so enjoyable. And they have beautiful and unique ideas. Guests in our new home routinely walk in but don't make it past the foyer and dining room. Beautiful wallpaper, fun and fabulous light fixtures, a wonderful rug cut to fit our extra-long room, well-placed art, and beautiful styling. We recently hired Duo Design Studio to update our family room. Gregorie and Christa were great to work with. We recently built a house that is significantly larger than our prior home, so we needed new furniture, curtains, décor, etc. , but also wanted to incorporate our existing things. "This is the second project that we have hired DUO DESIGN for and once again they exceeded our expectations. We had a once in the lifetime opportunity to buy our dream house so we jumped on it. The challenge was to repurpose our existing furniture and buy new within 6 weeks. The girls from DUO DESIGN came over and met with us and then drew up space plans and put together the design scheme. I found Duo Design’s profile on houzz and knew immediately that they were the right choice for decorating my living room and powder room.

Christa and Gregorie understood my vision right away. They created a floor plan that made sense and were able to steer me towards the perfect vendors for furniture and lighting. Once we had decided on a color scheme, they found gorgeous fabrics which coordinate beautifully with one another. I cannot say "THANK YOU" enough to Christa and Greggs! When I called them for inspiration and direction to refresh my office space, I had no idea I would receive so much more!

They both visited my space and spent quality time with me listening to MY ideas, budget, and crazy timeframe for pulling off the complete renovation of my 1903 historic home.....that I "live in" to run my mortgage company in downtown Greenville. I wanted to refinish the hardwood floors, paint the walls and trim, update all lighting, install new countertops and also replace the furniture in almost every room....and I needed to do the renovations inside *one* month and re-furnishing very quickly after that! Oh, AND I had a company of nine employees to manage in the midst of accomplishing this project!!

Undaunted, the both enthusiastically said, "Let's do it!"

They jumped right in and helped me vet the best contractors, put together amazing paint colors, create updated room layouts, then brought in books and books of lighting, furniture, and samples of material for me. I really loved that they always had me pick out my favorites and then made their suggestions of elements and design. They shopped for the details and saved me so much time!! They even found a way to repurpose the old heart pine flooring we had to replace by asking a local artist make a bar height table for my kitchen!!

They surprised me with the little decorating tips they knew that went such a long way...Like where to hide electrical outlets in the places you may need them at Christmas time and how to save you money by refurbishing existing pieces that can still be in style with just a simple modification or two!

My office is the talk of the town and I have Duo Design to thank for it! I highly recommend them on so many talented levels!

Hiring DUO DESIGN STUDIO was the best decision I made to finish my house. Christa and Gregs helped me finish my living room, dining room and kitchen. In the living room, they pulled together the entire room with Schumacher fabrics, original artwork and reupholstered furniture. The dining room came together with custom drapes and beautiful fabric for the chairs, plus a gorgeous new mirror. They had amazing ideas to maximize space in the kitchen and designed a custom banquette covered in faux emu that's not only beautiful but so functional for my boys. We recently bought a cabin in the Blue Ridge Parkway in SC. The challenge to furnish the cabin from our residence several thousand miles away was easily remedied by Christa and her crew at Room Service Interiors. We met in person only once at the cabin. The interview was followed up by questionnaires about our preferences and clever request of photos of our permanent residence to help express our tastes. I was apprehensive about furnishing the cabin remotely, but Christa alleviated all of my worries. She did an extra ordinary job of communicating, answering emails within minutes most times. I was referred to Room Service by several different friends but thought it would be "too expensive" to hire a designer. I could not have been more wrong about that notion and I could not have been more right to look to Room Service by Jolie Kolaj to help me design my master bedroom suite! We picked the rooms that would have the most impact on everyday living and started there. They listened carefully to what I wanted, looked at what I already had, presented ideas on a reasonable budget, and held my hand (which I needed) though-out the process. After a lot of research into designer/decorators in the area, I selected Room Service by Jolie Kolaj because they have a fun vibe to their design, are so flexible in approach, and transparent in pricing. Christa and Gregorie were a blast to work with and saved me so much time and stress planning and shopping for our new home during construction. I knew I wanted to get completely away from my former color scheme of yellows, browns and burgundies. I also had a challenging layout in the great room that was stumping me on furniture selection and placement. I had a "feeling" I was trying to acheive in the home, but just could not envision it. I was in fear of ending up with the old look by default. Gregs and Christa helped me color design the entire home, provided a CAD layout design in the great room, source and select furniture pieces and accessories, and even came to my rescue when fast decisions had to be made during construction, such as shower tile design, grout colors and pendant placement. They made a stressful process fun. We moved in 2 weeks ago and LOVE our new home. I cannot imagine surviving this and ending up with such a beautiful product without their expert consultation. We are still bringing the vision fully to life with more painting (doing it ourselves) and a few outstanding pieces to be purchased, but every decision so far has been just right for us and within our price range. Christa came and did two rooms and a bathroom in our home. The rooms were freshly painted so she talked color schemes with us and asked what we wanted the rooms to become. One room was a guest bedroom and she made changes that brightened the room. She talked us into keeping a dresser we were going to sell. When I saw this in the new room I was pleasantly surprised at how it worked without making the room seem too cramped.. The other room she worked on was one where we wanted a masculine den feel to it.

What a fantastic experience working with Christa and Gregs! My husband and I live in Chicago and bought a vacation rental in beautiful Maggie Valley, NC. We needed to create a comfortable environment for our visitors and needed some guidance. We gave them a budget to go by and what rooms we wanted to concentrate on. All of this was first done on line! They looked at our pictures of the vacation rental, we talked on the phone and corresponded through email, so they did not see our home until they walked through our door. They brought all of their items they selected (by just viewing pictures mind you!) and we went through the house choosing which items to put in each room. After purchasing a beautiful older home in Greenville, I was overwhelmed by what to do with my living room. The layout was complicated, and it was our only living space aside from our sunroom. It needed to look “put together” while still being the place where my family really lived.

The talented designers at Room Service put together the perfect layout and a gorgeous color pallet for the walls and upholstery, helping me by narrowing down my choices. They were knowledgeable about quality of furniture construction and fabric suitability, and helped me to select the right pieces for my family- we have three black labs and a three year old child who have put our living room to the test!

I was so impressed by their spot-on accuracy at selecting appropriate dimensions for furniture in my space. They listened to my ideas and pulled them together in a way that was my style but better. Ultimately, they created a space that is classic and comfortable but also very “in.”

Room Service’s commitment to being up-front and transparent about costs was as impressive as their design talent. They created a detailed budget by item showing the difference between retail and their client’s costs. I could have purchased the same high quality furniture at local retailers, but spent less working with Room Service even including their design fees!
