We hired Al for an Engagement Brunch we hosted recently for our Son and future Daughter in law. We couldn’t be any more pleased with our choice of Al as our entertainment for the afternoon. Al is a very talented pianist, musician & DJ. We are still getting raves from our guests about how nice his music was. He kept it at a pleasant volume where our guest could enjoy his playing & music, but still have their conversations. Al also was more than accommodating, as we had to postpone this celebration from our first date, due to the surge in COVID. It was seamless to reschedule with him for our second date. Of the 4 professionals who responded to me, Al was above and beyound from the beginning. His initial reply was by email which provided me with links to YouTube to view videos of some of his events. Also a link to his web page where I could read reviews. What closed the deal was my wife and I going to Water's Edge to watch him play the piano live and discuss our event with him. I most highly recommend Al for ANY event that you would normally hire just a DJ for (or band for that matter!)... Everyone at our party was absolutely wowed! !! Al doesn't just play music like a normal DJ - he is also a world-class musician and adds LIVE piano and more to his shows which makes a world of difference... What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Experience..plain and simple! You have to know what to play, when to play it and what does this crowd like. I even take into consideration where the older people are and will intentionally turn the speakers away from those tables not to annoy them in any way! I've got everything covered!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Just enough interaction but not so much to annoy people as many DJ's do at events! When you have REAL talent, you don't need balloons and rubber guitars to impress people!
What do you love most about your job?
Of course the "LIVE" music but also when a bride and groom come up to me at the end of the reception and say " YOU DID AN INCREDIBLE JOB "! I have so testimonial letters to prove that. Just look where it says " links " in my profile. Even though I have been in the business for many years, I'm new to BARK, so they only post reviews after you book gigs from Bark clients. I'm sure they'll be plenty coming soon.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am a perfectionist and a true entrepreneur. Put the two together and it spells...RUN YOUR OWN BUSINESS! ALSO BECAUSE MY NAME IS ON THE LINE AT EVERY SHOW I PERFORM AT, I TREAT EVERY GIG AS IF IT WERE FOR MY OWN FAMILY!
