I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the quality work and superb customer service we received from Dream Kitchens of Nashua. Even though our kitchen was remodeled 10 years ago, the design that Jackie Smith did for us is timeless. We are selling our Merrimack house and moving to the coast. Every buyer that viewed this home has said the kitchen is beautiful. All the extra details, spice drawer (my favorite), peg board dish drawer and design we have come to enjoy over the years. As we are building our new home and dealing with a terrible designer (had no choice with kitchen designer, had to go with what the builder's chose...ugh) that I actually educated her on details (compliments from Jackie and us being spoiled with our DREAM KITCHEN...lol) we still will not have as nice of a kitchen (10 years later) as what Jackie did for us. I wish they serviced that area. Cannot say enough about her attention to detail. Even 10 years later, if I have a question, she is always there to answer and help us. We went to Dream Kitchen because we fell in love with look and quality of the cabinets they had to sell us (natural cherry is so beautiful) and then the design and care Don Smith put into meeting all our needs and dreams for a new kitchen. We started our kitchen remodel in January of this crazy year 2020 and the crew of Jamie Warter with Joe, Angelo and William came in to remodel according to Don’s recommendations and layout. Everything was done quickly and with high quality detail and we were fully functional by the time all the pandemic craziness started in March. We worked with Dream Kitchens to renovate our kitchen and we absolutely love the results! We worked with Don Smith throughout the process and he was fantastic – we could not have picked a better partner.
We felt listened to at all times and he was able to come up with a huge array of creative ideas for us. If the first pass of options didn’t work, he’d find others that did. He had an endless array of solutions for us no matter what we were trying to solve, from design to products we chose. We were able to show Don a variety of pictures of kitchens that we liked, and he was able to show us how we could do the same for our kitchen. We wanted a giant island that could serve as our kitchen table (check!), great cabinets (check!), and he was even able to source some weathered brick for the walls that looks fantastic. Dream Kitchens’ partners were all fantastic – from appliances, to countertops, to tile - and most importantly, a wonderful contractor (ask for George!) who pulled it all together. We even were very comfortable bringing our kids to the showroom for our meetings with Don – the staff there was always welcoming! We’d recommend Dream Kitchens to anyone and very happy with our experience and the kitchen!

Our kitchen was in need of an inspired remodel and Dream Kitchens did a fantastic job. Our old kitchen was cramped, dark and dated. We needed help. Nina Hackel, the owner of Dream Kitchens, was just the person for us. She was full of great ideas. We wanted a clean, contemporary look with lots of space. Nina did that and more. Hi Nina, Kristine and Katelyn,This weekend was our first time in our new kitchen and we are absolutely loving it! We are so thrilled that we spent the time to think through all of the design elements and we are so glad that we didn’t pinch pennies - there is nothing in our kitchen that we wish we had done differently. Just a week or two more for finishing touches, but we couldn’t be happier. A few friend have seen it and both of them said it was a ‘dream kitchen” (lol)! Nate and Wayne are just the best! So easy to talk to, so professional and reliable and they have incredible patience and perseverance with the little details and tweaks that we request. Even given the unforeseen complications, Nate showed up every day with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor. They both made sure that the subs were doing things to the highest quality and not damaging anything along the way. Kristine, Kim and Jake have also been outstanding. They are easy to reach, easy to communicate with and always pleasant and friendly. And of course Katelyn is an absolute pleasure . We had made our selections and later changed our mind and wanted a different Corian counter top (more expensive). The installers made a mistake and installed the original selection. I rarely write reviews but my experience was so surprisingly pleasant and professional and the outcome so functionally beautiful that I felt compelled to share with those thinking about putting in an updated kitchen. Dream Kitchens did a beautiful job with our kitchen and bath. My husband and I had our kitchen completely remodeled and its stunning thanks to Dream Kitchens, and particularly Nina Hackel. Her vision and design acumen is amazing. We met with her in her store twice to discuss scope, budget and design and then again to choose cabinets and other details. She visited out home on multiple occasions as well. She recommended a trustworthy counter top company and formatting company, and accompanied us to help choose our stone. She designed lighting, layout, always keeping in mind how we use our kitchen as it relates not only to food prep but also social living. For instance, I didn't think we could afford to make large plumbing adjustments but she assured us that the change would be be well worth it and she was SO RIGHT!My teenage son now comes into the kitchen, and as he's preparing his snack or helping with dinner he declares "I love this kitchen!".This makes me very happy and I totally agree...I absolutely love the kitchen.Nina designed the kitchen and bath and was on budget. She worked with the contractor when things went slightly askew, (which of course they often do in construction projects). She took so much of the unknown and second guessing out of the equation. What guarantee does your work come with?
I believe I work hard to make sure you are extremely pleased with your kitchen or bath. We warrantee the finish and the drawer slide of the cabinets lifetime and a limited warrantee for everything else.
What do you love most about your job?
I love designing new space and working outside the box. When I client comes in and says” it cannot be done”- I get a big smile on my face. Clients always feel there spaces are too small, I find that the space is not small but the space is poorly designed. Knocking down a load bearing wall is not frightening it is exciting. Because we do it every day it is not even that expensive. I guarantee to double your storage and clean off your countertops. Then I am the lucky person that acts as your personal interior decorator and I provide different material and a color rendering of your space so you are most comfortable with you new kitchen or bath. I love the look on the clients face when it is done and the letter they send. I am truly blessed to be in design and to meet so many interesting and unusual people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It was my grandmother and my mother. My grandmother gave me the love of cooking and the love of kitchens. My mother has very bad arthritis and had problems with using her kitchen. So I got intrigued on how I could make a kitchen much more accessible for people that have trouble bending. I found no one did an ergonomic design. I just loved all the new ideas I came up with, so I bought Dream Kitchens and started designing in a different way. Now I have 5 designers and 12 internal staff. The designer are all spectacular and really give you a design and an color consult that no other company gives.

I have over 200 awards for kitchens and baths. I got these awards by designing beautiful kitchen and baths that were extremely functional. I guarantee to double your storage and clear off your countertops. MY designer will give you 3 completely different designs for your space. We will even place your furniture and pick out granite, tile, floor and help consult with paint colors. It is a full design experience. NO other company spends the time with optimizing design and gives you the color consult that we do. Our cabinet companies are excellent, you never have to worry when you buy a dream kitchen. It will last and be beautiful for years!
