Had a wonderful evening with great food for both adults and kids. Staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Kids menu has a few more options than the usual and food was much nicer than any other restaurant we have been to. Don't miss out on the ribs and cheese cake for dessert. Came here with my family. Food was excellent. Ordered the ribs -- best I've had (my daughter also had and agrees). My other daughter had the gnocchi and loved it. 6 of us took an Uber from our hotel to this restaurant / bar. We never made it into the restaurant but the bar had 4 pool tables, a ping pong table and a number of pub seats and tables. The menu is small but has a lot to offer. The wait time was less than desirable but the food was nothing short of amazing.Their house bbq is nothing short of amazing. Please note that if you need a check separated please be sure to have it in writing and signed by the waitress and the manager and if God’s available to notarize it, it may prove helpful. They apparently cannot separate a check per Jillian. Also, it’s extremely helpful when the waitress delivers the bill that a pen to accompany it. All in all we’ll be back as we had a great time. Came here a little while back with a big group of friends and had a great time! Dover Forge has a relaxed, Vermont-cabin vibe to it. The service is friendly, there's lots of menu options, the portions are good, and it's got all the comfort food options you could want after a day of skiing or hiking. The Fried Pickles here are amazing!!! To be fair, I've only had fried pickles one other time, but that one paled in comparison. I found Dover Forge Restaurant on yelp.  I ordered a Stella beer and I wasn't sure what to order for food.  I decided to go big and order the Half Rack of Ribs.  I ordered the ribs with a side of coleslaw and mac and cheese.  The plate came with pickles and cornbread.  The ribs were fall off the bone and the cornbread was really good.  The pickles were a bonus.  It was one of the best meal I have had in a while. Great time! There are really two sides to this place. 1. A sit down area for a nice quiet dinner. Make reservations for that area ahead of time. 2. The bar area... This is where we went. Bar was good sized and there was several pool tables, darts and ping pong. We showed up with 3 family's and kids in two. They were very accommodating to us all and the food was great. We've been coming to Mt. Snow for a number of years and trying different establishments.  This past weekend we came to Dover Forge for the first time and it's one of our favorites in the area.  Great attentive service and delicious food!  We had the bolognese special, the Osso Buco (shank) and the links.  The links were just ok, but the bolognese and Osso Buco were great!  Our youngest had the steak off the kids menu and that was cooked perfectly and delicious!  I'd highly recommend Dover Forge and it is now one of our go-to places in the area. My wife and I stopped in to the bar next door prior to the Forge opening at 5pm on Sunday. The bar is called One More Time and is owned by the same people who own The Forge. We sat down and asked for a wine list. Low and behold they had Stags Leap Artemis for sale by the glass.  This wine is usually found only by the bottle and at, in my experience,  a much higher price.  I went next door as opening time approached and met Alan, the General Manager,  he told me he was booked but the tables around the bar were first come first served. There was a very good chance that we would get one of those due to the fact we were next door.  5 minutes later he came and informed us that he had a reservation cancel and we could have the table  He noticed we were drinking the Artemis and engaged us in conversation.  It added to the already good feeling we had about the restaurant which was referred by a bartender at the village pub.  This carried on after we were seated.  Overall a feeling of comfort.   Now to the meal.....We ordered the chilled seafood appetizer, crab claws, shrimp and cocktail sauce.  Very good.  Next my wife ordered the "Wet Bones" appetizer for dinner. Short ribs that literally fell off the bone. Excellent.   I ordered the crispy duck, which is iffy at best in many restaurants,   the chef NAILED IT!!! Crispy outside, tender  inside  and moist, wonderful flavor. We have already made our next reservation. A must for dinner. Reservation recommended.   A few times during the meal Alan came over to check on us, we felt like the meal's effect on us was important to him. A definite plus. We have been coming to Mt. Snow for 7 years and always struggle to find a place that can seat a big group and get a great meal. Tonight we found our answer at Dover Forge. All 8 of us lived out meals and the service was great. With a big crowd we always assume a wait but the food came out fast and everything was delicious. Every time I visit, I have a better time. Dover Forge is the place to go for a solid family meal, while One More Time is my go-to for having a drink and some billiards. The staff are always friendly and the drinks are good. My only problem is the fact that their wings are presented without sauce, so you have to add it on your own or awkwardly dip them in. Frankly, though, the wings are solid even without sauce, and the variety of BBQ and hot sauce options is a big plus. I don't recommend the flight of sauces, though-- you're better off saving five dollars and ordering whatever sauce sounds best. More...

From the answering of the phone, telling us we would get the best table in the house, it was a wonderful experience. We were seated right in front of the fireplace. It's -3 tonight,with windchill of -26. The waitstaff was wonderful. Our mules were generous and delicious. Margarita and traditional. Fried pickles were amazing and almost too plentiful. Onion soup was a classic example. Smoked bacon meatloaf was spectacular. Kale salad with salmon was an incredible entree, with a full entree sized portion of salmon- crisp on the outside and tender on the  inside. Great experience. The host was so delightful. I had a very enjoyable evening here tonight. I came up to Mt. Snow today to celebrate my birthday, my original plan was to leave after last chair and go to Foxwoods but over the weekend the family decided that it would be a nice idea to rent a house up here for the night. Keep a long story short that was now the set plan.While I was out skiing my two aunts and grandmother made their way into one of the bars in the lodge at some point and the bartender recommended coming here. After the day was over and everyone was back at the house we decided to come here for dinner.Today is Tuesday and we popped in around 6:30/7:00. Place was close to empty but slowly more and more people showed up as the night progressed, road conditions might have played a factor as ut rained so roads were slick. All the staff we interacted with throughout the night between the host, bartenders and waitresses were super friendly and had that vibe that they love their job and the guests that walk through the door. The environment was a mix of low key dining experience with wall decor of old tools, brick fireplace and other unique stuff to look at. The other half was more geared towards your ski clientele with four pool tables, bar, ping pong, darts, and a stage for shows (open mic was tonight.) Food was delicious, I had a squash soup with a country fried chicken as my entree with mashed potatoes and green beans, the rest of the family went with burgers lol. My chicken was cooked perfectly with just enough crunch and a juicy interior. The burgers were slightly off cooked to some of their liking but I was very impressed with how they brought a platter onions, tomatoes, lettuce and do forth so everyone could take the right amount that they wanted.
