Friendly good service. Clean room and a beautiful pool view. The only problem I had was there was a Goodwill truck blocking the parking and the entrance to where my room was in the back so I had to park pretty far away and make three trips of my baggage up to my room. I attended an event at the DoubleTree by Hilton and the food was good, service was good, the room we were in was quite spacious, and we all had a great time. UPDATE: Ereka was very patient as she listened to me talk about the night before. She had excellent customer service and took care of us. Everyone we met was great (Marcus, Spencer, Bambi, etc.). I updated my stars to reflect this. I kept it at a 4 because rooms are slightly outdated, and the one star I gave to the overnight crew, definitely not their A-team. HI SHARIE!!! Happy New Year, girl. PAST REVIEW: My dad was coming in from Vegas today and needed somewhere to stay. Doubletree was pretty cheap and I always remembered it being a nice hotel (as most Doubletrees are) so I booked it then put it in my dad's name so that it would be easy to check-in (I look back at laugh at this decision now). My dad's credit card is declined because it doesn't have any money on it, so frustrated from his trip because its midnight at this point, he gives the phone to me to talk to one of the ladies working. She said that I would have to come down and put my name on the card. I said okay, but then remembered I have soccer practice in the morning so I called back. This is where it becomes unprofessional as well as uncaring customer service. Sharie, another lady, answered the phone. I asked her if it would be okay if my brother goes down to put his credit card on file for incidentals. She said absolutely not and states that this is policy. I tried appealing to Sharie's emotions... Why would you allow me to pay for a room I can't spend the night in? Or are you okay with the fact that my dad may not have somewhere to sleep tonight? Sharie again states that it is policy (now mind you, the lady before said that it was okay). I ask Sharie to help me find a solution and she says that she can't. Then she says she will give me the number to talk to her manager, then gets on the phone and says but I will have to wait for tomorrow. OKay, Sharie, but that doesn't help me now and it certainly doesn't help my dad. So next, I tell her that I will be down there right away and she was going to help me get it sorted out with Hotels (dot com). She said that she "didn't have time all night to be on Hotels (dot com) with me." Not accepting this, I go down to DoubleTree and call Hotels (dot com). While I am on the phone with Hotels (dot com), the other lady (I'm assuming the one I talked to first) hears us and says that she certainly can take my card for incidentals. I look at Sharie, and say, "You said I couldn't do that." Sharie pretends that this wasn't the case. During this argument, where I admittedly engaged with Sharie too much (I should have walked away and called the manager and corporate), Sharie is smirking at me while not making any eye contact. This is FUNNY to her. I have never felt so belittled and felt like my voice didn't matter. This place is a "no" for me. I will never put another family member or friend in this hotel again. I'm sure Sharie doesn't care about that statement, but hopefully her manager and corporate do. More...
