DoubleTree Lubbock was acquired by new ownership in 2018 and underwent a complete remodel before we opened our doors on January 26th, 2021. Our on-site restaurant, Claraboya Scratch Kitchen & Bar offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our carefully crafted menus are sourced locally, and best of all, led by Executive chef Antonio Pina, a Lubbock Legend!

When I heard that Chef Antonio Pina from Farm to Fork was executive chef here, I knew my husband and I had to come for our wedding anniversary! We’re fans of the chefs creative and bold flavor combinations, and he did not disappoint! The queso with our starter was some of the best we move ever had, and the mole on my husband’s tomahawk pork chop was absolutely divine. My shrimp and salmon was light, fresh, and flavorful, but the pork chop was definitely the star! I also had the pineapple infused margarita, which was a perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and tangy! The finale to our evening was a piece of amazing German chocolate cake. We couldn’t finish it so we took it home to enjoy the next day. We accidentally found this because we got caught in a West Texas snow storm, and stopped for the night at the Double Tree. The restaurant was closing early because of the snow, and they made sure we had an amazing dinner! They also made the kids something special because we have some picky eaters! Riley and Ethan were amazing and rolled out the red carpet for us! Refreshing to have service like this in a world full of negativity! We will be back anytime we come to Lubbock! More...

What a wonderful surprise in my home town! Yes, it's in a hotel but don't hesitate to try this place. The Chef is masterful with his flavor combinations! From beginning to end every dish was immaculately prepared and plated. I only wish the portions were smaller so I had room to try more items. The porchetta is to die for!
