Carla has been an absolute lifesaver! I rescued two pups in December, aged 4 and 7. They were very aggressive towards other animals, and in an apartment building, it made our daily walks very worrisome. They are both 10 lbs, and I was worried their attitudes would put them at risk. With two visits, they started gaining confidence, and now here we are 6 months later and they've gotten so much better! I adopted a sweet dog a year ago who was terrified of EVERYTHING. The kennel, other dogs, humans, you name it. I worked with Carla for a couple months and our sweet pup came out of his shell and began to trust us! He’s now completely house trained, kennel trained, and does great with other dogs. Our family adopted a dog about a month ago that has had two previous owners and two trips to the adoption center at just one year of age. She was untrained and afraid of people. I had no idea what I was doing or what I was getting into. I found Carla through the Nextdoor App, and we got to “training me” almost immediately. I started with a broken, scared dog, who I never thought would be interested in playing fetch or following basic commands. Now I have a loving new addition to our family who wants to make her owners proud, wants to learn, wants to be challenged and absolutely loves playing fetch. We also boarded our dog with Carla while we were out of town and our dog came back even more obedient and eager to learn more. Carla has become our “go to” trainer for DFW Pug Rescue. She has worked with fearful dogs, dominant dogs, female marking, puppy mill dogs and their behaviors, all with knowledge and success. We have a sweet high energy young (not quite 2yr old) 45lb herding rescue dog who is great around the house and good with commands and wants to please but she was pig-headed and stubborn and strong and difficult on a leash. I dreaded walking her. We had gone to 3 previous trainers before we were introduced to Carla. She is a miracle worker!!!! We left the dog with Carla for 3 weeks and brought her home yesterday. Carla has been such a blessing for our Labs! She walks them everyday, takes them on field trips and loves them as if they are her own. Our puppy was very trainable but naughty and would only obey my husband. Carla came to our house and corrected a few things for our Ruby Jo and for us! Some things I would have never known to do and I've read a few puppy books! Also, when Ruby was boarded with Carla she came back like she had the best doggie vacation ever! I love how great Carla takes care of my CoCo. CoCo is part of the pack that goes out and it's great for CoCo to socialize and get her energy out. I love the pictures I see on Facebook and the comfort I know my dog had a good time out for the day. Carla was a miracle worker with our pack of 4 terriers! We had almost given up hope because 2 of our dogs had begun attacking each other. We had to keep them separated and it was causing havoc in our home. Carla is a blessing with our Milo. Bringing him down a notch on his alpha dog that thinks he's in control of everything. And bites when he doesn't like something. She let him know right away that she was in control...not him. He loves her and his time with the other dogs on park day.
