We took a behavioral correction class for our 3yo goldendoodle with Dan. Dan was knowledgeable, flexible and had easy to implement strategies for us. He always came prepared with a plan. When we could not find high population places in Oct-Nov period for implementing these strategies, Dan brought his own dogs to train with our dog! Dan also did an extra session free to ensure enough practice with our dog. We are confident that we will have guidance to potential questions over the next year as Dan’s follow up has been great! Daniel is one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet! We have a dog who has some issues and he worked with us to help her get past these issues. Dan from dogHeart was very helpful. I have a 15 month old goldendoodle and he helped us with not pulling on the lease and door dashing.
So far I just did the assessment, but he is very thorough and comes back with a 20 page detailed instructions in how to train your dog with the points of concern within the assessment. He is very experienced and has a degree in dog training/ behavior so would definitely recommend even for the assessment if you are having problems with your dog or want them to listen better! The assessment was almost 2 hours and he walked with us to a nearby school and gave us tricks to use when walking, etc. and at the home.

My partner and I had just got our first (for either of us) dog ever, a French bulldog puppy. We worked with Dan to train her over the course of five 1-hour sessions. Dan was very professional and respectful. He arrived promptly for each session and waited patiently outside the apartment complex, he would often go beyond the hour to help us continue training, and he came prepared with a variety of treats and toys. For each command (e.g., "sit"), Dan taught us multiple methods to approach training the command. He emphasized positive reinforcement and valued methods that allowed the dog to *think* about what to do and why. We also learned more subtle, effective demeanors to show around our dog, such as steadily talking in a positive tone in new situations (when we first started walking her outside) so that though she wouldn't understand our words, she would understand the situation was safe and ok. Dan taught us how to interpret the body language of our dog and other dogs by interacting with other dogs and dog owners in public spaces. We both felt that Dan taught us so much more than we had learned prior by reading books and watching YouTube videos. His ability to point out and explain, in real-time, details of our dog's behavior has remained valuable in the weeks after our lessons have ended. I love developing the relationship and trust between a person and their dog, seeing each respond to the other with respect and love.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am inspired to improve the canine-human relationship one dog at a time in a way that improves the quality of life for each.

We also show you how to change your dog's unwanted behaviors into behaviors you want.
We provide the most current research techniques on training in a positive reinforcement way, according to L.I.M.A. principles of Least Invasive & Minimally Aversive training.
Behavior Modification - San Francisco, South Bay, East Bay
WHAT WE DO:
We meet with you to analyze the dog to seek out the root cause of the behavioral issue so we can properly address the problem and not just the reaction to stimuli/symptoms.
Our remediation methods are humane, non-aversive, and are based on the most current veterinarian science research. We work with resource guarding, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, and more. We adhere to the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants' Standards in training.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO:
We do not use the so-called "quick-n-easy tools" to deter behavior such as e-collars, prong collars, or any invasive methods. Yes, aversive tools work but they only cover up the source of the problem and have been shown to cause other behavioral and psychological issues for the dog and their family in later life. We do not take dogs with a level 5 & 6 bite history based on the Dunbar Bite Scale.
Service Dog Training - San Francisco, South Bay, East Bay
We provide the highest industry standard of training for Service Dogs based on Bergin University of Canine Studies accredited Bachelors & Masters of Science program. We adhere to the Assistance Dogs International standards of conduct & training.
Our dogs have a successful placement with Veterans suffering from PTSD, Autistic Children, Paraplegics, and adults suffering from seizures or other medical conditions.
Rescue Dogs and Dogs with Special needs
We help older dogs who through environmental, medical, or age, need training or re-training, to help them be successful family companions.
