We typically brought our Collie to a local spa and were always very pleased with them however, our dog is aging and a couple of health issues so a full day at the spa didn’t seem like a good idea. We scheduled with Dogfather and Kris showed up on time as well as kept us in the loop on when to expect him. We told Kris what we would like done and he nailed it, our Collie came out perfect. We paid more than we would’ve at the spa but they came to the house and our boy was done in a couple of hours instead of a whole day so for us it was worth it. We will use Dogfather / Kris again. I just had Kris come to groom my 3 dogs and they look/smell so great! He was honest about their temperaments (I was surprised by which ones were more nervous than the others)! Tried giving the mobile grooming a chance to avoid a trip to petsmart for a bath as I normally would have, and ended up having a negative experience unfortunately. My dog was a bit nervous due to the dryers that are used to dry the pets from what I’m told, and had anxiety for the 20 minute service provided until they stopped. Although baths are typically 1 hour in duration, I was still charged 120 for the bath and stuck with having to dry my pet for another half an hour myself with a hair dryer to avoid potential hot spots. Tried to speak to customer service for some sort of remedy but a generic response was given. Based on this experience, wouldn’t be using this service again unfortunately. I desperately tried (over 6 months) to get my dog an appointment at Petco in Wallingford where she always has gone to. Their website said call the store, the store said go to the website. They say because of Covid they are backed up , time to get over that excuse. I called The Dogfather, got an appointment at a time that was good for me in a short time. My dog needed to be shaved. Amazing experience!! Ally was amazing, caring with Theo & honestly that’s what I look for, I can tell right of the bat she LOVE WHAT SHE DO . theo came back better than EVER & not injured at all my baby came back perfect & NOT BALD like I thought he was ALLY IS JUST AMAZING & I want her to attend theo always !!!! I was looking for a new Groomer for my 4yr old Wheaten named Archie. His Groomer retired and finding a person who he likes has not been easy. I tried DogFather Mobile Groomer. Groomer was Ally. Best decision I've made all month. Ally listened to my thoughts, explained to me and Archie what her thoughts were for his Groomimg and asked me lots of questions on our path to a great Groomer, Dog, Owner working relationship. Archie had a dryer issue which got worked out, as he looks amazing and gave kisses and tail wagging to Ally not only before appointment, but after as well. I am very happy and so is Archie. Angie and June were the best! They came to groom my and my husband’s two senior dogs. Ted a 15 year old blind Westie/bichon mix and Dooley a 9 year old Puggle. Ted hadn’t been groomed since before COVID so they had a lot to work with (before and after posted) and Dooley screams like a hyena and turns into Cujo when near nail clippers and they did great with him!!! I have two dogs, 85 lb dog that gets de-shed and bath and a16 lb dog that get shaved bath at the Stratford salon.. Both come out happy and smelling wonderful. Thank you so much Becca! We have tried other groomers with our anxious Chinese Crested and have never been extremely happy like we gave with Dogfather Grooming. Becca knew exactly what we wanted and exactly what Milo needed. She was so good with him and even texted me from the driveway to let me know he was calm just looking out the window.
