I hired Stephen for a dog training event expecting 40+ people.  He responded right away when I first requested a quote. (other businesses took up to 10 days to get back to me! )  He was super easy to work with and really does take care of EVERYTHING!  I didn't even have to worry about setting up tables or coolers for him.  He does it all.  My guests really enjoyed their interactions with him and the food was wonderful!  Everyone gave the pizzas and salads glowing reviews.  He always had a pizza coming out of the oven so there was always something fresh and hot being served.  He even provided a few gluten free pizzas for myself and a few of my other GF guests.  The whole event went as well as it could have.  I highly recommend this business! We had the honor of tasting the Dogfather (aka Stephen's) pizza the other day! The dough is delicious and chewy, ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, and the wood fired oven gives it a perfect smoky flavor without burning it. Stephen also makes sure the pizzas are always fresh out of the oven instead of piling them up and bringing them out when they're needed. There are so many people to thank after our wedding. Among the top of our list is Stephen and his amazing team. We're hours away from our honeymoon, not even fully packed, but dammit, we just had to get this review out now to let both him and you know about how great our experience was. Right from the start, he gave us a fast, fair quote. When we went out to visit him in Woodinville, we were instantly charmed by him and his team. He bought us a glass of wine and served us some perfectly grilled hot dogs. One bite and I told my then-fiance to book, book, book right away.The day of the wedding, we pull up and he's already working his ass off filling our venue with the smell of all manner of grilled meats. A lot of people came hungry and Stephen and his team handled it like true professionals, always smiling, always conversing and even playing a little music from his cart--a real nice touch.Many couples don't even get a chance to eat at their own wedding. We knew we couldn't let that happen. So did Stephen. That's why he let us jump the line. As a Yelp Elite I take a lot of pride in reviewing great businesses. But the fact is, I don't give that many five star reviews like this. It's been a while since I've enjoyed the culinary mastery laid down by Dogfather. It was a small private event held up in the hills above the Woodinville winery area. I arrived and mingled with friends and didn't know what to think of this middle aged Canadian proprietor and head chef. He stood vigorously making and baking pies as people piled in to the event. By the time I got to try one of the pies I was getting pretty hungry and my little tummy was starting to growl. Talking to Stephen was really like talking to someone you've known for years and he really put me at ease. He really felt at home almost like he lived there, and he made me feel at home too. He told me about his family, his Canadian maple leaf leg tattoo and at that point, he had the dream of owning what he called a "vroom vroom" motorbike. It's funny, because years later I heard he actually bought that little scooter he wanted. He handed me some pizza and as I was about to take possession he asked me if I wanted to try some of his signature balsamic reduction drizzled on my pie. I'm skeptical, old school and not very appreciative of fancy juice on my pizza. But, I tried it. Yes! I tried it and it was delicious, really like I've never experienced before. We hired Stephen and the Dogfather crew for a non-profit event at Matthews Winery who recommended them. From the get go, Stephen was a dream to work with: very responsive by email and phone. At event, they pumped out wood-fired pizzas that were AMAZING. The balsamic glaze they add to most (maybe all?) of their pizzas is a unique touch and just delicious. The team was very accommodating to special requests for both gluten-free and dairy-free pizzas for our guests. A side note - as the event lead who also happens to be pregnant - Stephen basically chased me down with the first pizza that came out of the oven to make sure I ate. I can't rate Dogfather Catering high enough! Stephen was an absolute joy to work with, made everything so easy.  The food was amazing and we got so many compliments on how great it tasted and what a cool concept it was to have the pizza set up for our wedding! Wait. This place is AMAZING! The pizza is super delicious, the ingredients are light and fresh, and I am an absolutely happy customer. I hope this business gets huge and sets up a real shop. PS. A whole pizza from dogfather uses 8oz of dough. There are 6oz of dough in a normal bagel. Thus, I ate half a pizza, was completely satisfied, and DID NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT IT! Awesome. More...

We had our employee event this weekend, and asked Stephen to provide gourmet sausages for about 150 people.  At the last minute, it looked like our headcount was going to be higher than we thought - Stephen (owner of Dogfather) took it in stride and said he always brings extras just in case.  Since this was a 3-hour event, where people could come for as long or as little as they liked, Stephen's catering model was perfect.  Short wait times, guests could choose what sausages and toppings they wanted, and the food was always hot.  Last year we had a catered BBQ, and unfortunately ran out of food after only an hour. We did not have that problem, and all of the employees raved about the food this year.  I would definitely recommend Dogfather catering, and plan on working with them again in the future!  Thank you Stephen! Who doesn't love Pizza and hot dogs? We hired Steven and his wonderful team at Dogfather Catering for our wedding. It was an outdoor wedding and we wanted it to be casual. One thing I really wanted was a late night hot dog cart to soak up all the booze and keep our stomachs full for the dancing. That's how we first discovered Dog Father. Why not pizza and salad for dinner? It is our favorite food. Steven and his team did a wonderful job and the food was all AMAZING. We ended up going through way more than Steven or I expected us too. Luckily he comes prepared with extras! Our wedding of 80 people went through all the delicious salad, pizza and hot dogs. Everyone LOVED them. So did my husband and I! I still think the late night hot dog truck was one of my better ideas. They were so professional and did a great job with everything. They even have a licensed bartender on staff! She did a wonderful job with all of our drunk friends, and dealing with the frozen margarita machine(yes, our wedding was that awesome).If you are looking for laid back food for your wedding or other catering event, with professional and kind staff, Dogfather Catering is the best! I would highly recommend Stephan and Dogfather Catering.  We used them for our childrens birthday party, just hot dogs no pizza. 150+ guests.  I booked only a 5 days prior to the party and booked them prior to seeing thier great reviews.  Having never dealt with them before I was concerned about reliability and ability to serve all of our guests quickly.  Stephen kept me in the loop in the days before party and responded quickly to my calls and texts.  The party went great.  Stephen himself was there to serve and set up.  He was at the venue before we even arrived, an hour and a half before party was to start! We had Dogfather catering cater our wedding this past weekend. We sampled quite a few catering companies and they were all just okay. ..nothing special, boring, and generally just not our style. I was starting to get really stressed that we'd never find something I loved. Then we found Dogfather catering, and immediately after meeting Stephen and trying his food for the first time, I knew we had finally found what we were looking for.    The FOOD:  It was amazing. We did wood fired pizza and salad for dinner and gourmet hotdogs later on after cake for a fun snack! The only thing I hadn't tried ahead of the wedding was the salads...and I didn't expect them to be anything special, but I can't stop thinking about this salad they served with greens, fruit, and bleu cheese. It was SO good. I need more. Also I don't drink, but I will definitely be coming to Matthews winery where Dogfather serves for their events, just to get another wonderful hotdog!     The PEOPLE: Stephen was absolutely AMAZING to work with. I can't say enough nice things about him! He was so accommodating, easy to get in touch with, quick to respond to my questions and all at an amazing price! He came early to help us chill the alcohol, he met with me at the venue a couple of weeks before the wedding (at no extra charge) to get an idea of what he'd be working with. He continually went above and beyond what was expected of him. And Stephen in general just did everything in his power to make sure our day went smoothly and was everything we wanted it to be. His server Chantelle was also absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly efficient, and juggled serving both food and alcohol flawlessly. She was SO friendly and just absolutely adorable. Such a pleasure to work with her! We asked them both to do a few things outside of their usual job description, and they both happily accepted everything that was asked of them and handled everything beautifully. Wow...I cannot say enough about how wonderful Stephen & DogFather Catering are... I first met Stephen at a winery party in Woodinville, and remember his pizza being the highlight of the night :)  Upon getting engaged, and starting the wedding planning process, we knew we wanted something a little different.  We knew we wanted to skip the whole "formal dinner" aspect of the wedding, because we were aiming to throw more of a party than anything else.  Well, I called Stephen, and he was SO INCREDIBLE to work with!!!  He invited my (now husband) and I out to an event he had coming up for a tasting, and was so open to discussing ideas, ingredients, etc throughout the entire process.  OK- now for the good stuff: the food is freaking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We chose to serve pizza and salads for the first couple hours, and then switched to hotdogs for late night food, and all I can say is that I am still getting messages, and comments from people about how AWESOME our food was!!  Wedding food can be pretty mediocre... but we absolutely made the right choice when we hired Stephen.  DogFather Catering made our event unique, and kept the party going all night.  Oh!  And our wedding was on his Birthday, to boot!  Seriously, HIRE THIS MAN!  You will not regret it- and if you're really lucky, he might have an adorable little helper by his side :)  Thank you a million times over, Stephen! Dogfather Catering came out this past weekend and worked an industry event for me. I am beyond thrilled with the results and his professionalism. Not only was he the first vendor to arrive and set up, he was also the last to leave, in a good way! He helped me clean up a bit and get some stragglers on their way home. He really made the event a success. His sausages were delicious, people were so happy with them! And don't even get me started on the smell! MMMMM! I was hungry the entire time he was cooking! I am a full-time employee at Microsoft and our team recently hired Dogfather Catering for one of our work events.  Stephen did an excellent job handling the rush of 80+ hungry customers and all of my co-workers were raving about how delicious the gourmet beef and sausage dogs were!  Stephen and his crew offer top-notch food, service, and cleanliness  (I was particularly impressed when I noticed that Stephen arrived early enough to not only make all the food preparations, but he also allotted time making sure his food station was sparkling clean and presentable).I highly recommend Stephen and Dogfather Catering-- you will not be disappointed! We hired Dogfather Catering to cook wood fired pizza for our St. Patrick's day party and could not have been happier with the food and service. Thankfully Stephen left us some pizza in our refrigerator. I added a small amount of olive oil to a sauté pan and warmed up the pizza to eat. OMG was it amazing. Stephen at the Dogfather Catering did a great job at our elementary school fundraiser yesterday in Bellevue!  It rained like, well, cats and dogs but he served up the goods with a smile on his face and people seemed to enjoy his hot dogs and other offerings.
