I could not be happier with my experience at Dog Training Now, and I'm already planning on when I can bring him back for continued training and even therapy dog training. I brought Henry, my mini goldendoodle, to Dog Training Now for a few reasons.  I had already put him through a in-house training program immediately after I got him as a puppy, and I had also completed a Puppy AKC class.  I had to travel extensively after this time, and he was boarded at a local doggy daycare.  After I returned from several trips, it was like all the training I had done had disappeared.  Henry was jumping on people, not sitting well, not laying down, and certainly not coming consistently.  I was honestly crushed that the money and time I had spent training him had gone to pot after boarding.I first brought Henry in for an interview and I felt at ease right away.  I could tell that they have a clearly defined process and program for dog training.  The staff is well trained and REALLY cares about what they do.  I immediately jumped on the two week course.  My only regret was that I should have had him do the in-house boarding/training course, because DTN is 20 minutes from home (going away from downtown) and I had to commute back downtown on the Metra.  It was a very long 2 weeks of commuting and stress for me that I would have paid extra to avoid!Each day Henry had a focused activity and I received my lesson on that specific activity at night.  I was given material to read on day 1, and I read all of it.  We practiced a bit each night, although he was tired at times and he often gave me this look that said "enough Mom, I want to chew this bone and lay down."  Henry took to the training quickly, but he still requires regular training from me until he just "gets" it.  He is only 7 months old, so I have months of reinforcement ahead of me.  I have all the tools and resources I could ever need from DTN.I feel like I need Henry to stay with DTN whenever I have to travel for longer than 3-4 days to preserve his training.  Also, I would want him to  get tons of love that does not come from sleeping in a strange crate in a big room with a bunch of barking dogs.  I honestly cannot recommend Dog Training Now enough.  Really great business with wonderful and caring trainers. We could barely control him on a ​leash. After two weeks of day-training, it's like having a new dog! We can walk him and he stays with us, and he barely nips at all. We are trying to keep up with all that he (and we) learned​ because it is so effective. It is a great balance of praise and discipline that is hard to find in other training​. We have had our Doberman pup there first for puppy day camp and then for the 10 day training. We’re so happy with the results and how everyone has treated him in his time there. Dog Training Now is terrific! Our 7 1/2 month old puppy Bailey just completed the 10 day training program and they were great! They took SO much time every day to answer all of our questions. They were extremely helpful, patient and kind. They would ask us each morning how Bailey did the night before. At the end of everyday, they would take time to walk us through the day's lesson step by step and help us practice it before taking Bailey home. They went above and beyond by helping us address a particular challenge that Bailey was having at home. We loved the pictures they posted on FB everyday. Their communication to us throughout the process, starting with the scheduling process was terrific. The trainers are great and we can tell they really care about our dogs. While Bailey's behavior isn't 100% perfect yet, we have a great foundation to build on. And we know that Dog Training Now is always there for additional refresher training for Bailey and for us. I cannot say enough good things about DTN!! We put our puppy Jax in the Puppy Day Care for a couple weeks to learn some basic potty training and get socialized. Jax had so much fun!! The staff made such a good impression that it was an easy decision to use DTN again when we needed to get Jax more structured training. The staff is so nice, easy to talk to, and everyone knows each dog and their personality. They answered my questions through email/portal right away, making them super reliable when you need. We did the 10 day training and Jax has come so far! Every time we pick up, they spend adequate time to train us. I’m super happy with the results. In addition, now that Jax is trained, we can use DTN for daily day care and boarding. This was so important because we have sent Jax to other places and they are smelly, dirty, and Jax always came back sick or tired for several days because there is not enough people supervising. DTN’s facility is clean, and I can send Jax for day care knowing he is still getting refresher training!! I have already booked Jax for boarding for when I travel. They not only train your dog, but train you too... Dan was always available to explain the training and solve any issues. All trainers are very professional and friendly . Hank (American Bully) and I absolutely love DTN! He has the best time there! Melissa, Dan, Allison, Kellie, Erin and Danny have been amazing trainers with Hank. We started with puppy preschool & puppy daycamp up to 16 weeks and now Hank graduated from his 10 day training program. He has changed so much and the trainers have been extremely helpful in training myself! We most definitely will continue daily graduate trainings so he will stay consistant as he gets older. I don't know where to begin.. Dog Training Now and their staff, Danny in particular, were phenomenal! My wife and I sent our boy, Loki, for the 12-Day Board and Train during our wedding/honeymoon weeks. Not only did Danny do a fantastic job training our boy but he also went the extra mile to bring him for our wedding photos (something my wife and I will be eternally grateful for). We can tell that Danny takes incredible pride in his job and forms lasting bonds with his trainees; Loki was excited to see us but would have easily gone home with Danny as well if he could haha. That gives us reassurance that Loki was in great hands while we were dealing with all the stress that accompanies a wedding! Dog training now is phenomenal. Not only have they done an amazing job training my parents pup Duke, but they also did an amazing job training our boy Loki. We did the 12 day board and train with Loki for our wedding and they went above and beyond for us. Loki loved working with Danny and you could tell how comfortable Loki was with him. I grew up with dogs most of my life, and we never had professional training for our family dogs. I was a little skeptical about how much a puppy can learn/retain in a 10-day obedience class. We met with Dan for a consultation and he helped answer all my questions with a friendly and positive attitude. We signed up for puppy daycare and the 10-day obedience classes when he was old enough.Danteh (our pup) just graduated from obedience training, and I couldn't be happier with the progress we've seen with him. Danteh can be a challenge and set in his ways. After each day the Dog Training Now (DTN) team provided us with what he learned, showed us, and had us perform it with them before we left. We then took all the information and applied it at home during the evenings. We wanted to get the most out of the training, and if we don't follow the same procedures when I wouldn't expect the results we have had. Danteh got to work with all the trainers at DTN and everyone has been so wonderful. I enjoyed the daily training session with the trainers and I have learned a lot too. One of the reasons I wanted to try obedience training was to help me with training a new puppy too, and I felt really comfortable making mistakes and having the team correct me as we went through the daily drills. I was so impressed with the care and results we also added a boarding to his training at the end so help solidify his new skills. Our dogs (Juju and Tank) just completed their 12 day Board and Train Program. We couldn't be happier with the results. The training has really been a game changer for our family! I really liked that our dogs got to work with multiple trainers yet went home with the same trainer nightly. Kellie took such great care of our dogs. When picking them up at the end of their training, I could see just how connected they were! Kellie communicated with us regularly and kept us updated throughout their time at DTN. I can’t say enough positive things about DTN. I was so impressed with their program. Layla’s trainer, Allison was great about keeping me in the loop with progress reports and pictures. I loved how Layla got to work with all trainers, and how she went home with Allison at the end of the day to reinforce what was learned, to get her in a new environment, and most importantly not keeping in her a kennel alone at night. A great place for dog training! I had my Shepherd mix dog there for the 20-Day Day Training, and the results was amazing! My dog doesn't pull on the leash anymore and great off leash too . Everyone there are so nice, very helpful and great trainers. A great and welcoming environment for you and your dog. Allison worked with my dog the most. My pup, Thor, just graduated from his 2 week class. Today I had the pizza man deliver to us and told my dog to wait as I saw the driver pull into the driveway. My dog patiently waited. Findlay eagerly wagged his tail when we dropped him off, their team is extremely knowledgeable, patient with our many questions, and caring. I used dog training now months ago for my adopted dog Rizzo and the 4 week intensive training. As a large puppy, he was a handful and DTN gave me the tools and resources to tighten up his behaviors. He did not come out of his 4 week training perfect, because it takes a lot of work beyond training to get any dog to be pristine, but they laid a solid foundation for his growth. Even more so, when I board him, I've had such a wonderful experience with Kellie who is his second mama. She welcomes him in with open arms and takes his doggie kisses with ease. Amy and the DTN team had our 5 YO hound rescue Jackson for the two week board and train and taught him the basic obedience commands. We were very impressed in what they'd accomplished in just two short weeks. Their methods are effective without being harsh to the dog like I've seen at some other training places. Cozmo's trainer Danny did an amazing job for us. My sweet but squirrely dog was a bit more than I could handle. Now, he is much more behaved and willing to listen to me. Most of the many people that we encounter on our daily walks have commented on how he seems to be "magically mature"! I highly recommend this place. We brought our dog, Rhu, to Dog Training Now for the ten day training to help us with her rambunctious puppy behavior. We couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very first day we saw significant improvement with regards to behavior on leash, as well as with jumping. And as they incorporated more skills, we continued to see the improvements. We recently completed the 10 day training with our dog Dallas a lab sheltie mix. She was super hyper and always jumped up on people when meeting them. After only one day she did not want to jump up on us when we were home. We learned how to keep her from jumping on people which was a big relief. Also on our first trip to Pet smart before training she went ballistic jumping and barking at other dogs. After one week of training our next trip to Pet smart she was calm and with encouragement she sat and looked at the other dogs. What an improvement. 5 star training facility. We first brought our terrier/shephard mix puppy few months ago for their 10 day dog training academy. Allison and other trainers were amazing and our pup loves going here. All the trainers are great! but we had Danny for the off leash program and he was just fantastic. Highly recommend Dog Training Now. I have a one year old Aussie/Jack Russell mix and as loving and sweet as she is - she was also a handful to say the least. After training with Kellie, we are now able to take her out with us. I wanted to be able to take her to horse shows but she was so unmanageable I stopped after our first attempt. Our dog Aspen just finished her 10 day obedience training and we couldn’t be more happy! Everyone that works there is so sweet and caring. Whenever we would pull up the DTN Aspen would immediately get excited and couldn’t wait to go inside. She is so well trained now but what we are even more impressed with is how much she truly enjoyed going there and the trainers.
