I run a large breed dog rescue, I have dealt with many situations over the years and many trainers. My overall take on trainers is that most truly don't know what they are doing and the dogs lose out because they can actually make a situation worse. Being in rescue I see the aftermath of these situations and so many dogs being tossed in shelters and being put to sleep because the trainer just tells the people the dog is untrainable. I've went to the quote/unquote best trainers and have traveled far to take some of my problem rescues to training and spent endless money and most times the dog had become worse. I am so glad I found Felix. Not only do I think he's an amazing trainer, but he has a heart of gold and truly loves animals. Being in my line of work, I get asked for recommendations all the time and where I used to say none are worth it, I now can say with confidence, even if you have to drive, HE'S WORTH IT. More...

Flix is a Highly knowledgeable dog Trainer. He is very accommodating in your dogs needs as well as the owner. My dog have high anxiety and loves to bark. After 6 sessions and learning the place command he is a different dog. No pulling still bark,but not as much and stay in the place command for 45minutes. Flix made a difference. I started training my puppy with Felix right from the start. He is very knowledgeable and I was impressed that he continued to get certifications to learn and expand his knowledge - a good sign. He got Max to overcome many fears and be a more confident puppy. He also helped me to learn to reinforce all of his training to make for a happy, and obedient pup. This was definitely a challenge for this little puggle who has a lot of energy. Felix also helped with getting some great products that are all natural and safe, unlike many processed foods out there. I recommended him to a few friends and they loved him also. You can tell that he has an absolute passion for what he does. That's important to me. I always felt that he had Max's best interest at heart. I highly recommend Dog Training Beyond. When we came to Felix we were about at the end of our rope with our young Rottweiler mix. I have been bringing my Puggle puppy Myla to Felix since she was 8 weeks old. I must say she is an incredible well rounded puppy now! Felix really takes the time to work with not only the dog but the owner as well. You can see his passion for what he does and he creates an amazing positive environment for your dog. Myla get so excited whenever we pull into the driveway and I feel comfortable leaving her with Felix if I ever need to go away on vacation with his dog boarding program as well! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My dog Coal was out of control. We couldn't control him and he was showing dog aggression so we stopped taking him with us to the rail trail. I saw dog training betting on Facebook and gave Felix a call. They have three different programs and we opted for the boarding school. After four weeks of not seeing Coal we went to pick him up and the change was amazing!!! He is well behaved and listens to us now!! I have a miniature dachshund who suffered from terrible anxiety. To complicate matters, we moved to a new home. When Missa was left alone, needless to say, she barked for hours. As we now live in a townhouse, we received an email from the Management Co. re: complaints about her barking and could be fined or asked to leave if the barking persisted. After researching various options, we asked Felix from Dog Training Beyond to help us. After a few training sessions, and continued support from him, Missa has overcome her anxiety and no longer barks unnecessarily or excessively. Even though our structured training sessions are over, Felix remains available to us for any questions or concerns that may arise. He even calls to check on Missa to see how she's doing. My wife and I can't thank Felix enough for helping Missa and my wife & I. I recommend him for any issues you may be having with your dog or all various training which pertains to dogs. He will definitely be our go to trainer for any dogs we may get in the future. More...

Felix is an amazing trainer! He trained our four 90+lb Pitbulls all at the same time!! When we brought the dogs to Felix they were totally uncontrollable, we weren't able to walk them and they did not listen.
They would jump on us and the kids, pull us down the street when we walked and bark at every little thing. It was really hard to have them all out at once nevermind around people. After training they were calm and could now be walked, they no longer jumped on us or anyone else and they listened. Now they don't go upstairs unless we tell them, they don't jump on the couches and for the most part they do what we say. They are not perfect but we have the tools we need to work with them. Their entire behavior has changed to be more calm. The most important part to me is that Felix worked with me on how to interact with the dogs and he worked with me (hands on - not just telling me) on fears I had.
Once we brought the dogs home he was still always available to walk us through how to handle any challenges we were having. We can't say enough good things about Felix and Dog Training Beyond.

Felix is awesome! Never had to use a trainer before, but after a lot of dogs I had one that I just couldn't train on my own, plus he had a fear aggression around strangers. It was either rehome him or find a trainer for help. After some research I decided on trying Dog Training Beyond. I was nervous when we went for our initial meeting. Felix took his time went over the options, what I wanted out of the training. He spent some time with my dog, it was a very pleasent experience. I decided on the Boarding training option. Yes, it was hard being away from my dog, but in the end sooooo worth it. My dog is a totally different dog now. Felix gave him a good base, worked on his fear. The private lessons afterwards is great because I am learning the correct way to teach my dog what I expect from him. Felix is highly knowledgeable and accommodating in what your dog needs. He not only trains your dog but teaches and informs you as an owner. It is evident that Felix is passionate about his work with the dedication and focus he puts into each session. He trained Tyler not only basic skills such as sit, paw and lay down but more advanced skills such as crate training, leash work, word command, obedience, and building trust. Tyler was adopted at 1 years old and already had bad habits when we adopted him and Felix easily corrected those habits. Felix is the kindest, best choice we could have made for our german shepherd puppy Adonis. He took his time to first understand Adonis and us. Then he saw what needed to be done and taught us as well as Adonis. Felix is always a pleasure to work with and even is able to help out with other items for my dog like recommending food products to helping us learn how to clean his ears, and trim his nails! I started my puggle puppy Myla with Dog Training and Beyond since she was 8 weeks old, now she is about 9 months. I absolutely love Felix he works so well with Myla and he has a passion for what he does. Felix worked on housebreaking, crate training, socializing, leash work, play, obedience, agility and much more. She is already a well rounded dog and she is not even a year old yet. I've been struggling with my puppies behavior lately, so I emailed Dog Training and Beyond to train my puppy Max to behave and stop barking so much. Felix responded to my email quickly and was super helpful, offering suggestions and tips on how to train Max. I decided to give it a try, so I asked when we could start. Felix was able to start right away, so I brought Max to his place the next day. It's only been a couple weeks so far, but I can already see an improvement is Max's behavior. This trainer was highly knowledgeable and was very accommodating. He made sure to understand what my dog's needs were and worked with my dog and I to help achieve our goals. I now feel more comfortable having my dog around other dogs and strangers. The problems I had seemed to have been corrected and it is good to know that if I have any more questions or need any advice I can reach out at any time.
