When you take your 7 month old German Shepherd to bike night at Quaker Steak and Lube for the first time, and the first time ever being in that type of environment. .. If you’ve ever been, you know how loud and crowded it can be on bike night. We brought our Shepherd to dinner with us, and walked around and through the crowd afterwards while the band was playing. We were there for about 2 hours. Despite people walking by, trying to get his attention, calling him, petting him, another “vested service dog” barking and pulling when he saw my dog to the point the owner had to walk away with him, he maintained composure the entire time! While we ate he did not budge from his “spot” or attempt to beg for food. When the “service dog” was out of control he merely sat up and looked at him without moving from his spot or making a sound, and with zero input or influence from me. While we walked he maintained perfect heel position 95% of the time, with the other 5% only walking a step ahead. It is rewarding to see people looking in awe at such a well trained, well behaved dog, and to hear comments like, “I like THAT dog” (pointing to mine at the “service dog” situation), “He is so good,”. “He is very well trained,” “Is that a Police dog,” “I wish I could get my dog to do that!” For this, I give credit to Damieon and DNA Dog Training! Damien is the best! Our 4 month old puppy Tyson is so well-behaved because of him and it’s made our busy lives a whole lot easier! I never thought a puppy could learn so quickly but I’m glad we started when we did. I love that he’s always available to help answer questions whatever time of the day. It’s also helpful having guidance when it comes to buying “dog supplies” such as beds, collars, leashes, food, etc. Damien truly cares about the dog and not just about getting the training done.
