Another great event. A great family with decades of family lineage present, though it was a childrens birthday party the event celebrated many generations being present. Not a big dancing family, but much time was spend enjoying the music and catching-up with friends and family. Daija and her mother did a great job of putting the event together, and they were very attentive to my needs before, during, and after the event. DJ professor was outstanding from the moment he contacted me to the moment he left. He kept in touch throughout the whole process to make sure that he would meet my needs. When he showed up for the party, he played right on time and used the exact genre of music I asked him to play! He had the perfect mix of rap, country, rock, and pop. He even mixed them seamlessly. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
The right music. I notice, people don’t always want to dance. People may not have seen each other for years and merely want to catch-up. I think the right music will provide the environment where your guest will want to stay beyond the duration of your event and ask, “when can we do this again?”
People may not dance in the traditional way, by getting a partner and move to the dance floor. People may move in their seat, people may dance while standing in the food line, and some people may just want to sing to the song. All these are indications of people having a good time.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I am very professional and prompt. I can also be very laid back or energetic depending if the situation calls for it. I have done some events, like weddings, were the bride has the entire event planned from start to finish. However, I have done some weddings were the bride, groom and guest are tired and they want the DJ to just get them through the event so they can go to room and complete their nuptials and begin the honeymoon. Basically I adapt to the situation
What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about being a DJ to me is making memories with people while they are making memories. A good example is a 80th birthday party gig. You usually have 4-5 generations of people these are very memorable events, everyone does not get to celebrate an 80th birthday.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started DJ as a way to share the enjoyment of music. Everyone can’t have a library of 10K songs or know from a few bars the name of a song. When you connect someone with a song you connect them with a memory. Being a DJ allows you to help people travel through time.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a very experienced DJ. I have played gigs with 20 people up to 1,000 people. I have played bars, clubs, private events, in all types of venues. I am comfortable playing all genres of music any era. I also have the ability to take request during the gig with internet connectivity.
