Y’all- if you are thinking about hiring Kidd Kreme for your event, stop thinking and just DO IT!!!! We recently had Kidd DJ our annual Halloween party and it was our best party to date! Kidd Kreme is able to read the room and adjust as needed so smoothly and quickly. For example, someone came dressed up as Eminem to the party and within 2 minutes or less, Kidd was spinning Eminem! What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Energy. For many years I focused a lot of my learning on transitions, and after watching some of the best DJs perform, I realized that the key is song selection. If the song your transitioning to doesn’t create or match a certain energy, it won’t matter how smooth the transition is. In order to keep a vibe going, you’ve got to maintain control of the energy. If you can seemlessly flow from one song to another while controlling the energy with song selection, transitions, and even with your voice (in certain circumstances), you have the potential to make moments turn into memories.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
My style consists mostly of Hip Hop and R&B (old school and new school), but also includes some Pop, EDM, and Reggae/Dancehall. When I mix, I like to blend styles and times and provide a little something for everyone. I may play some newer urban hits along with some older R&B, and even sprinkle in some pop, depending on the crowd.
What do you love most about your job?
I love to make memories with people. I’ve been a fan of music since I was a child, and my love for it has grown with me. There’s nothing like being in a room full of people enjoying themselves, singing to their favorite songs together. The unity that music creates is incomparable. There have been many studies that show that music is connected to memory, which means that when you hear a song, it can bring back lost memories of emotions and experiences in our lives. It’s this same reason why people like to pick soundtracks for special events in their life. They want to make moments last, and my job is to make that just a little bit easier.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve never been fond of the idea of working a job simply for the money. I’ve seen so many people’s lives been ruled by money, and it’s sad. I remember when I was about 16, my mother told me to “never let money rule me... whatever I do, do it because I love it.” That has stuck with me to this day.

I’m hard-working and I love what I do. Whenever you love what you do, you put your all into it. For that reason, I work to make every experience great. I always work toward maintaining professionalism, and building lasting relationships. That being said, if you are looking for a knowledgeable, hard-working, professional entertainer, I’m your guy.

As a DJ, I know how to play for a variety of crowds. I play an assortment of genres, including hip hop, R&B, pop, international, and even disco, which means I usually have something for everybody. I play private, corporate, and public events.
