We work with the Boys & Girls Club and we had a major event to create in an incredibly short time (about a week). We needed a DJ that would impress everyone on-site.
DJ Kennedy was on-point!
We had 150 teens, a high profile celebrity guest and Club corporate partner on-site and she not only put together an excellent set with the perfect mix of music for all involved but there were a lot of unexpected surprises and she rolled with ever change like an absolute pro.

DJ Kennedy was a treat from the first meeting all the way to our wedding day. During our initial consultation, I felt that she REALLY understood our vision. Sometimes it's difficult for people to learn what your "vibe" is, but DJ Kennedy was able to hone in on that right away. She respected our desire to have clean music and welcomed our feedback about artists we didn't care for. She also managed to serve double duty, as she managed our silent DJ services as well. Due to city noise limitations, we had our guests wear headphones at the reception so they could party all night under the stars.
Our older guests had something to jam to, in their headphones as well as our younger guests. It was amazing! There were people up dancing that I just KNEW would be chilling in their seats. What she brought to our wedding was a sense of joy and normalcy. Dealing with COVID-19 was exhausting, but for those precious moments on the dance floor....the world was alright again.
I would hire DJ Kennedy again in a HEARTBEAT! She was worth every penny....and sooo much more. There is nothing like selecting a vendor and having peace of mind about it.

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
The secret is figuring out the rhythm of the dance-floor. No two dance floors are ever the same, that is why I will never come in with a pre-determined playlist because you have to feel the energy and what is working for the crowd. I also am a believer in smooth transitions, so no one is bored and there is always a new vibe. I am also very flexible with client and guests music requests when it works well for the scene.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I love all different types of music, so I don't stay in one genre for the whole night. I feel there has to be variety. We are all so different. I like to keep my music consistent, although different genres, it is very cohesive,and very smooth.
What do you love most about your job?
I love getting people to dance and creating the energy for an event. Music can elevate everyone's moods. I am very happy and grateful that I am a part of that.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have wanted to be a DJ since I was 10 years old. In my early adulthood, i took the chance and decided to attend DJ school. Even today, I still take lessons to continue to learn and be the best DJ, because I genuinely love all music.
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients should choose me because I really can rock any kind of party, all ages, and events. I grew up on 80s new wave, disco, 90s hip hop. I love rock, grunge, and rap. I love listening to the radio because there is so much good music on all the radio stations. I've even recently grown a love for county. I really do know all music. I am flexible, adaptable and easy going, while always maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Yes I can! During COVID lockdown, I had a few on-going weekly residencies for companies who were operating fully remote.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am fully vaccinated and boosted and am willing to do what the client needs to make sure we are all feeling safe and comfortable.
