About

Am an award-winning DJ from California now working between travels to Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., and California. During COVID; however, I headquartered in Las Vegas and mix-streamed events anywhere an internet connection supported quality streaming.

Q&As

LoL! That's not a secret. It's biology & chemistry (two kinds of 'chemistry'). Biologically it's timing the music between fast and slow tracks akin to the beats per minute matching a workout at a gym. The target heart rate there is 150. If you match that during the fastest tracks, then back off and slow it down every three to four tracks, dancers will catch their breath.

For drinkers, you have to time that differently. You have to know if you're DJing a predominately dancing crowd or a talking and drinking crowd. For the latter, you have to slow the music down every hour (or choose a track they 'somewhat' walk away from) so they go and get 'hopefully' a glass of water. One glass of alcohol (not Long Island Ice Tea!), will dilute if you drink a glass of water with it or immediately following that and then stay on the dance floor until the next hour. You won't get drunk that way.

Playlist provided or American dance-pop. That includes Hip Hop lyricists whose flow is so good it 'makes' you move your head in time with the words and beats so much you think you're on a dance floor but your sitting at a stoplight. Either of those two genres.

Seeing people wipe the sweat off their faces because they've had so much fun they don't know what else to do with themselves. They might just have a seat and see if they can recharge and get back to it again.

I started DJing in high school after DJing first started as a way to cope with family stress. (There's nothing like stress when your house and DJ studio burn down and there goes every piece of equipment and vinyl you ever owned.)

It took a while to learn to combine all I now know how to do. Finishing my education and apprenticeships to learn those remaining abilities meant starting my business.

Because under COVID-19 we should all be careful not to have contact outside of familiar people. That means you don't want a strange r in your home or office. With us, you get outperformance without our presence.

Remotely and online. We're accessible via password-protected, VPN-tunneled online streams or remote connection over secure WiFi.

We haven't made any changes. Our entire business model is COVID-19 safe already.

Services

I offer streaming DJ mixes that are either pre-made, because I have over a dozen, or made-to-order.

Custom mixes are per hour and based on the Playlist a client provides. I can take that over the phone, email, text, "carrier pigeon," or links from popular streaming services that allow users to send their Playlists to me. If you need an email address to send it to, use 'mixtapes@djexperience.biz'. That'll get the ball rolling on a custom mix. (Or, let me reply by telling you I have one just like it already to save you a little money.)

I also offer contactfree services with the added live performance of an onsite DJ. Most clients aren't sure about how that's done.

It's a combination of a 'soundcheck' the day or week before the event, and setting up (at least) one big screen for your audience to see me, and (however many) mounted (and tiny) cameras so I can see (and hear) them.

With this setup, I can manage the crowd and hear the guests, especially at Wedding Receptions, where the Bride or Groom can manage me using wireless mics.

All of that is done during the "soundcheck" well before the event and is demonstrated before the event as well. (Even if it's demoed at a different location than the event venue because that won't be open until day-of.

These are unique. DJ eXperience® can't be present in closed, close quarters spaces due to social distancing guidelines.

However; if you're interested in augmenting your Birthday Party for your young ones, you can arrange a Playlist, purchase a youth-specific mix, then play it through any smartphone, computer, iPhone, iPad, or any device that can connect to the Internet and stream audio.

From there you can hire entertainers or performers, such as characters or clowns who are accustomed to onsite work during COVID.

DJ eXperience® can come over prior to your Party to "soundcheck" your event by showing you how to use your device to access his mix if you'd rather that than him showing you how over Zoom or by telephone.

We haven't listed everything we do because we're always adding new services. Some services are not here because the clients didn't want us to turn their ideas into commodities.

But I think it's clear DJ eXperience® goes out of his way to use his creativity, IT, computer networking, design, and 25 years of DJ experience to provide a very personalized (and in some cases intimate - for example, video diaries when requested - "distance" performances).
