i would highly recommend DJ Carve (Evan) to DJ anyone's wedding or other big event! He was great! He not only brought his own equipment for the wedding and reception, but he worked with me on the music selections and timing for both the wedding itself and the reception. We recently hired DJ Carve for our wedding and he did a fantastic job. He is professional, has all of the gear and equipment needed, has great taste in music, and an amazing ability to keep the dance floor full all night. We met with him a few weeks before the wedding and went over our preferences. He played everything we asked at the right time, but mostly we trusted him to know our musical tastes and work his magic. It really paid off as the dance floor was hopping until the very end of the night - something you don't always see at weddings. DJ Carve was an excellent choice for our destination wedding in Breckenridge, CO. I first saw him perform at the annual Pink Vail event - Lionshead After Party. He was also recommended by my wedding planner and so we worked with him long distance from Kansas City, MO. He was very enthusiastic and great to work with. He did an awesome job playing not only all of my own requests, but also my father's unique selection of music requests (thank you for that!). All of our specific songs we picked out for our entrance, first dance, cake cutting, etc, etc, were played correctly and I was really happy when he even figured out a way to play a special sorority song request. He kept the party going and got everyone up on the dance floor. I loved how he checked with me over the night to make sure he could play certain songs people requested. The dance floor was full the entire night and I know people had A LOT of fun with the music that was played (possibly too much fun...). We got so many compliments on the music and people wanted to keep dancing well past our ending time. We were planning our Beaver Creek wedding from out of state and DJ Carve went out of his way to make the planning process very easy. From the beginning he understood exactly what we wanted and he delivered flawlessly. DJ Carve was awesome at our wedding! My wife and I met with him a few days before the wedding after booking long in advance; and we had filled out the questionnaire provided for all events regarding timeline and music for specific events (first dance, parents' dances, cake cutting, etc). We went over all of the finer points and then from there we saw him again on our wedding day.He did our ceremony sound as well and that went off perfectly! Being an outdoor wedding, we had a small concern that people in the back would not be able to hear, but the sound system provided was great. He then moved in and DJ'ed our reception. He was very precise on all timeline cues and no microphones had any issues as well. The music was perfect, as it started with old classics (Sinatra, slower songs, etc), and then gradually escalated to full on dance party! By the end he was custom mixing songs together and we had an absolute blast! We were told that the reception music was amazing multiple times by our guests, and we couldn't have asked for better. It was exactly what we asked for during our meeting by taking the style that we wanted, and had a great feel for the party's vibe as well. I would absolutely recommend DJ Carve to anyone in the area, he throws one heck of a party. More...

DJ Carve (Evan) was recommended to me by a family member after she went to a wedding he DJ'd for. I am so glad I took her advice because he did an outstanding job! He sent a questionnaire we filled out ahead of time with song selections/ preferences, bridal party names, timing of the evening, venue contacts, etc to make sure we were all on the same page and he was prepared. He was quick to respond when I had last minute questions and concerns in the days leading up to the wedding, making me feel more at ease! He also brought glow sticks (for a fee) which were a hit with our guests. He was on time and professional, had a great song selection and just had a great energy and was fun to work with. I find most DJ's to be very cheesy - they talk too much and the music they play seems like a playlist I could put together on my iPod. DJ Carve is the exception. He is professional and works with you to understand your music preferences. For our wedding, DJ Carve created an energetic vibe in the room the whole night - from background music during dinner to getting people on the dance floor. Never once did he have to encourage people to dance - he creates the party with his music. He mixes song to song never letting a song drag out. I hired Evan (aka DJ Carve) to dj my wedding reception in Beaver Creek, CO in August 2014, and he was AWESOME--a true professional. Many of my guests said that Evan was not only the best wedding dj they'd ever heard, but the best dj--period. We had a special sort of a "club-like" wedding (everyone went bananas!), and Evan is so good at sussing out the vibe and playing music that caters to the people. There was not a bad song in the mix! He even helped coordinate a song that my maid of honor sang during reception. They worked together getting the right sound levels, and he downloaded the backtrack, no problem. He not only mixed excellent music, but he did a great job MC-ing too, keeping the timeline and party on track. I added up-lights as part of my dj package, and Evan seamlessly adjusted them from dinner mode to dance party mode. His timing, knowledge, and professionalism are outstanding. My wife and I got married in Vail at the Donovan pavillion. We had what every couple fears on there wedding day, a terrible DJ. We just had to get rid of her. She forgot our names, played all the wrong music and arrived 20 mins before our ceremony ! The rep for the Donovan told me he know of a local Dj but wasn't sure if he would be available. Well sure enough, Evan answered his call, dropped everything and saved our wedding day. He set up his equipment in lightning speed because he was familiar with our venue, played music that got people up and dancing and had all the mics and lighting up and running.
