DJ Breakaway has it All! I had the opportunity to work alongside DJ covering a couple of his events. From Bar/Bat Mitzvahs to beautiful weddings, DJ Breakaway has the ability to adapt to any sort of event.

The first event was a Bat Mitzvah. Breakaway MC’d this event and my biggest takeaway was that he was great with kids. He was able to keep the youth very entertained with the props and games he brought to the dance floor.

The wedding at the new Hialeah Botanical Garden was phenomenal. Despite the scorching South Florida sun, DJ Breakaway didn’t break! What a trooper. He delivered a soothing environment with the music he played upon the bride and grooms arrival. Upon arrival, the aesthetic cold sparks made this entrance extra special. When it was time to party, best believe the crowd went crazy!

DJ Breakaway was a life saver when I found him. Not only was he nice and professional, I didn't feel the need to keep looking for another DJ after I talked with him. There was something that made me feel at ease with him. We needed a DJ for our mom's 90th Birthday & our sister's 60th Surprise Birthday Party. We were hesitant to hire an online DJ. We found Bark.com and decided to give it a try. We received a call from DJ Breakaway. We asked him if he would accept a playlist and that we needed a variety of music to include calypso music as this was an island theme party. He was enthusiastic and assured us he could find the unique calypso artist that sang the songs we wanted. We hired him and it was the best decision we could have made. The process was easy and the rate was within our budget. We sent him at least 80 songs from at least 30 different artist that ranged from calypso, oldies, pop & country.
DJ Breakaway kept in contact with us up to the night of our event. On the afternoon of our event, he was prompt, well dressed, prepared and was actively involved in motivating the crowd. DJ Breakaway was so easy to work with and accommodating. He played our songs and played requests which made this one of the best dance parties we have ever had. DJ Breakaway was Awesome to work with for my son’ 30th birthday party. He was immediately responsive to every e-mail, text or phone call.
He arrived to the venue on time.
He was thoughtful about coordinating his setup with the theme of the party. He had an extensive library of music, he played the artists that I had requested at the time of hire and he played nonstop for the four hours of the event.

Ryan did a great job at my wedding reception even though it did not go as expected. The groom and I were sick for the first hour and therefore could not start our introduction or first dance. Dj Breakaway kept the guest happy and cocktail hour flowing until we could get back on our feet. Although that set the rest of the night off schedule Ryan did not let that hinder him one bit and was flexible to our new needs. At the end of the night payment was so easy for me and once again Ryan was so patient not rushing me at all. I hired DJ Breakaway for my son's Bar Mitzvah (after party). It was a small back yard gathering with 40 tweens. It went very well. The kids had lots of fun, the DJ would play the songs they requested, but he also kept the party going and entertained. He was very professional since the beginning, he sent me a checklist to see if I wanted special services like master of ceremony, guiding the candle lighting, any special music (must-have playlist and must not haves), etc. He works with Paypal, so it was very easy to settle payment and get a receipt. He was extreme punctual, he brought his own stand and speaker system. His music mix was very accommodating for all types of likes (from Rap to Latin to Pop). Having DJ Breakaway for my wedding was amazing! He is very professional, resourceful, organized, detailed oriented and super helpful. He was always opened to work with me as gave me a lot of input to ensure I had the music I wanted to have in my special day. When I met him, he was very friendly and definitely did a great job editing the music I sent him and playing it the way we have planned. He ask about color of my wedding theme to match his lights with it and had a nice banner around his equipment that said “Mr and Mrs” which was very appropriate for the occasion.
