The food and atmosphere was great , ordering is a little complicated and staff wasn’t much help understanding it
It was a little cold for sitting and eating , we had to eat quickly and leave as it was too cold to sit and enjoy

I really like Dickey's Lumberton. We drive from Vidor for lunch. I also purchase their BBQ rub and use on salads. great food and always supper friendly.

The smoked meats are quite tasty. Their smoked turkey is awesome! The sides are freshly cooked, and the sauces are delicious. The only complaint I have is the portion size!! For a $12 BBQ plate, 2 slices of the smoked pork then pulled to make it look a lot, or a couple of slices of brisket, or 5-6 slices of sausage is quite skimpy. Give people their money's worth!! And don't advertise "pickles and onions" if you are only going to put a slice or two of pickles and one onion ring on the metal tray.. those aren't "sides".. more of a garnish. Quality-wise... this place beats Bryant's Whole Hog.. every time I've been to the Whole Hog there, their meat tastes like it's oven roasted.

Up your portion sizes or lower your prices for the dinner plates, then it will be 5 stars. More...

Great food-I had the frito pie, my husband had the 2 meat platter (brisket and jalepeño/cheddar sausage). The manager was welcoming and friendly—even though we showed up near closing time.

The food was fresh and tasty! I got the chopped beef sandwich and potato salad. The potato salad is mustard based which is not my favorite style but delicious in its own right. Our daughter ate FREE and did not spare one bite of the mac n cheese! Ice cream for dessert! Will be back soon. More...

The food is super good! Had the rib plate and a three meat plate and a couple kids plates. Initially thought the portion sizes might be a little small but was quickly reassured because we all got more than full. The meat was very flavorful and the sauces were good and textured just right for dipping. The ribs fall right off the bone and melt in your mouth. In addition to the ribs, we tried the pulled chicken and pork, as well as the brisket. Each was moist and tender, with very little fat at all. The sides we tried were the mac and cheese, coleslaw, loaded baked potato, potato salad, and fried okra. We liked the taste and texture of all of them but our favorite was the fried okra. It was phenomenal!!!! Perfect flavor, crunch and middle. The rolls are interesting because they are dense but not dry or hard. They have a flavor that isn’t like what we are used to and I don’t really know how to word it. (Not bad in any way at all, just different. Honey butter would taste perfect with them!) The sweet tea is on point and they even have free ice cream in a soft serve machine out with the drinks. The waitress said they have people make their own ice cream floats out of it and honestly I may have to do that next time.

The manager was super friendly and helped us out with the menu since it was our first time there. Definitely won’t be our last, as I can already hear our kids begging to go back. They sell the meat by itself to go, and the manager told me about his cheese quesadilla recipe... got me brainstorming on other dishes...

Flipped a coin to see where to eat and it wasn’t Dickey’s. But then someone mentioned free ice cream so we went to Dickey’s. And we are glad we did! Great service. Outstanding food. Especially the fried okra! Will drive to Benton just for this place. Free ice cream got this place three new customers that now love their bbq. Keep up the good work. More...

Was a little disappointed they didnt have brisket at the time but for the most part loved it only had a pick up order cause we were on vacation scouting around spots for the October trip but will definitely return here with the whole family. Just had Dan and his AMAZING crew just catered an open house for us and it was incredible!! I know our attendance was up soley because of their delicious food! ! From start to finish Dan walked me through everything making sure I thought about things that weren't on my list. I have so much respect for Dan and what he is doing...if you didn't know, he's the owner...which suprised everyone at the event as they saw him unloading the items and setting up for our event! It was my first time coming a few days ago and the food was great, the setup is beautiful but the older lady over the counter taking orders was rude and not friendly at all. Good BBQ for a chain restaurant. The deal of the day is a really good deal - comes with a main, two sides and drink for $9. 99. Wed is the westerner (which just happens to be my favorite thing on the menu) and they will usually swap out the sausage for the jalapeno cheddar sausage which is amazing! I also really like their fried okra, probably the best in town. My other favorite side is the loaded potato casserole. There's free ice cream for dessert although I don't eat it.
