I would never recommend DeWitt Cleaning Services to anyone. I had this service provider come into my home to provide a “deep clean” to the main living floor. Sarah, the owner, provided me with a great explanation and itinerary that would be provided to me in my home during this service. She seemed to be extremely professional and legit. She even provided a welcome letter and proof of insurance. The explanation was exactly what I was looking for. I even paid extra to have my two couches cleaned in my living room. In total I paid over $400 at the time this service was rendered. The cleaners came into my home with a team of two people at the time they had promised on 4/17/23. They left within 3.5 hours. My home is not extremely large, so I assumed if they were great at their job and knew what they were doing, they could have gotten all of this done in that amount of time. No amount of time was provided in the itinerary to determine how long this service would take to be completed. Now during this time, my family and I were out of town on vacation, so I was not home during the time of the service being provided. The owner was made aware of this, even letting themselves into my home with a key I had let out for them. When we arrived back home about 5 days later, I could tell as soon as I walked in that this service was not completed as it was originally explained. I immediately contacted her via email to explain that I’d like to speak with her regarding what was actually done in my home. This was on a Saturday night, but I told her that I would be happy to speak with her at any time to discuss the situation. She did not reach back out to me until that Tuesday morning. She stated that she had personal issues that she had to care to and that she’d be in touch sometime during that week. I told her I’d make time in my schedule to speak with her and that was understandable. She never contacted me so I reached out again about a week later. This was all via email because she would NEVER answer a phone call or return a phone call. She has never talked to me on the phone and would only communicate via email. She asked that I explain everything and provide pictures of what I was unhappy with and she would look that over when she had the time to do so. I went into GREAT detail about what it was that was not done and explained that it would be done in her itinerary (I attached this email at the bottom of the review for reference). I gave her yet another week to respond and she never did. I then reached back out again, two separate times, requesting a response. She then said that she was short-staffed, understood what I wasn’t happy about and that she would be happy to reschedule a time for her to come back out and make the situation right. I asked that she give me what would be available in the near future and I’d be happy to have her come back into my home and redo the service. Another week went by and she still did not respond about coming back to my home to redo the job. I reached out again. This was on 5/16/23. After me emailing her, calling her, texting her and Facebook messaging her MULTIPLE times since this date, she has yet to come to rectify the situation. Her last response to me was being able to come back into my home a whole two months from the time of the respnse to “fix” the job. I understand that small businesses struggle with staffing issues and staying afloat, but this is not a way to do it. Making satisfied customers who will keep coming back and allowing your business to thrive is clearly what the goal is. When I originally requested this service by DeWitt Cleaning, I was asking for the one-time deep clean, but was actually looking for someone to come into my home on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. I wanted to become a routine customer. I also understand that you aren’t able to fix a situation right away because of being a small business and I am totally fine with that. The fact that it has now been two months since the original service was rendered is not sufficient. Communication with this company is extremely poor. The deep cleaning service that they provide sounds wonderful when it’s all explained in writing, but not when it comes to them actually completing the job. I would highly encourage anyone to refrain from utilizing this business to save yourself time, a whole lot of money and frustration. I am sharing my experience so that any future customers are not put in the same situation as I was.

I will start by saying that my shower looked fantastic. Not sure that it has looked that clean since we installed it a few years ago. I have to say though, this is really all that I was satisfied with. When I received your invoice and read over what a deep clean consisted of through your agency, that is exactly what I was looking for. This was the first time I’ve ever had a professional company or person come into my home to provide me a cleaning service whatsoever. I was super excited to come home to a clean home after vacation. I was very much disappointed when we finally returned home on 4/22 and I didn’t think my house even remotely smelled or looked like it was just deep cleaned. Now granted, I know we were gone for another 5 days after the service was completed, so clearly it wasn’t going to smell like it was just done the day prior, but to recognize some scent of cleaning products I feel would have been warranted. I’m not one for strong-smelling cleaning supplies on a regular basis, but I guess I was looking for that deep-clean smell that would have possibly needed strong-smelling products to get the job done. No one walked through my house other than through my back door like you had entered through. My parents and my grandmother would have walked through my kitchen just to feed my cats right under my dining room table. If my kitchen floor wouldn’t have been super clean upon my arrival, I would have totally understood that. When it came to my floors, there were absolutely no vacuum marks on my living room carpet. Again, I asked my parents if they walked through my house while we were gone which could have taken away those marks and they did not. Neither did my grandmother. I wouldn’t have thought otherwise either. They take care of our cats all of the time, so I know this is not something they would regularly do. I know that carpet is not brand new and a bit worn down, but even with my own basic vacuum you can get marks to appear. I would assume with your vacuum it would be even better and lines would be there even after traffic was on it. I know the invoice explained that floors would be vacuumed and scrubbed. My couches were not cleaned whatsoever. They were actually in the same shape as they were when we left for vacation on 4/15 with pillows kind of just thrown because I knew they were to be cleaned. I paid extra on my invoice for my love seat and couch to be cleaned. There is still crumbs, toys, hair, etc. all through both of them. There is no way that this accumulated over the 5 days between the service being completed and us returning home. My pillows were not fluffed and were not placed in any decorative way. Again, they were thrown where they were when I left or not even moved. There was no lingering smell of cleaning supplies used on them that I noticed at all. My bathroom floors did not appear to be scrubbed. I know it’s laminate wood so you aren’t going to notice streaks and things being wiped away, but I also know when my floors are dirty. When my husband uses the toilet, unfortunately there are some splashes that happen on the left side of the toilet that I notice. I try to keep up with that. This was still present upon my return and before any of us used that toilet again. I left pieces of a clothing tag on my daughter’s floor right in the entry of her closet because I knew it would be vacuumed up. We were in a hurry, so i just kind of threw it there. That piece was still there when we arrived back home. I appreciated the dusting in my bedroom, but that appeared to be all that was done in there. In the invoice it clearly stated dusting and washing walls throughout the space and I was charged an extra $50 for this. This was clearly not done as there are still marks from my daughters humidifier getting the room too humid a night right before we left and it left drip marks down two different sections of the walls (see attached pictures). Again, I left this because I figured this would be cleaned and I wouldn’t need to worry about it. I can’t say much about the vacuuming in my bedroom because there is a litter box in there and clearly that was going to be tracked by my cats in the five days we were gone after you completed your service. Unfortunately, there was still dust and cat hair all over my baseboards and baseboard heat run behind my floor-length curtains (see in attached picture) that would not have, in my opinion, accumulated over that 5-day period without traffic through the room other than my cats. Believe me, I defintiely know that over a 5-day stretch things will not be looking pristine because of animals, but I have to say, I’m not sure that the outcome that I saw once I arrived back home would be only over the course of just 5 days. I have 3 cats, no dogs, and they are pretty clean other than their hair being noticeable on the carpet at times. This would have even been understandable upon our arrival because it’s inevitable and that is absolutely not something you would be able to control, especially after being done with the cleaning. I know that the washing of windows was not included in this service, but I figured that dusting and wiping of the pieces around/near the window sills would have been part of the overall dusting of the entire space. This was defintiely not done, especially in the kitchen around the lock ledges. Grease was still caked on the window sill and lock ledge that is right beside the stove. The wall behind my stove did not appear to be touched and had grease splashes still present. The top two shelves of my entertainment stand in my living room were dusted, but the bottom was not. If it was, not everything was moved because there was a pretty thick layer of dust underneath my Wi-Fi tower in the corner that it was clear this was not moved (see attached picture) and underneath my Direct TV box in the middle of the second shelf. When it came to the dusting, again I appreciated it, but I feel that things should be placed around about where they were prior to moving them or atleast remotely close to their original spot. My picture frames were just kind of scattered on the top shelf of my entertainment stand. When it came to my daughter’s toys, I knew that would be alot for you to move, get around, clean under, but I honestly felt that this should have been part of a “deep clean”. It clearly states in the invoice that furniture and other objects that were easy to move would be moved and cleaned under/around. This was definitely not done. My coffee table was not moved as there were still several toys and crumbs underneath it. There was actually still crumbs of food that my daughter ate right before we left still on the coffee table. I know I sound petty in some aspects of this explanation and maybe I’m expecting too much, but I made these mental notes because I wanted to know and see that things were done and done well. I paid what I feel is a decent amount of money for such a service, but I was absolutely willing to do so. I read your contract and your invoice thoroughly, so I knew what I was getting. I was absolutely satisfied with what was explained to me before the service was rendered. Unfortunately, I do not feel this is what I received. I have cameras throughout the backend of my house. I have time stamps as to when you and the other man that was with you arrived to my home and then left my home. You arrived at exactly 4:50pm in my driveway and left at 8:39pm out of my back door. That’s a little less than 4 hours to completely deep clean one level of my home. I am in no way a professional in this area, but that is a short amount of time to completely deep clean one level of a home. I’m not saying you and your staff aren’t capable of doing that, but I am questioning what was done in that amount of time that you were in my home. I apologize for being excessive or blunt, but I am not happy with the service I was very much excited to receive. You were extremely professional, were timely with your responses and explained things so well prior to you coming into my home. I would have never thought I’d need to question what I finally received. I feel that I am so upset about this situation because of allowing someone that we don’t know to come into my family’s personal space, while we were not even in the country, and not receiving what was explained and paid for in full. I have attached all pictures that I took after we returned home. I did not take before pictures because I did not think this was going to be necessary, so I have nothing to compare them to. I will gladly explain anything again or more in depth to you if you would like me to. I work Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm, but I will try my best to answer a phone call or email as soon as I’m able to. Thank you for acknowledging this situation and allowing me to explain. I look forward to your response.

I recently used DeWitt's Cleaning to have my childhood home prepared to sell. It has been several years since the house had gone through a good cleaning, and it was going to be quite a job. The ladies at DeWitt's did an excellent job, getting the the entire house clean including the nooks and crannies. These ladies enjoy making homes look beautiful and work hard to do so. They were polite and communicative. I would higly recommend if you need a thorough cleaning. I would recommend if you need a reoccurring cleaning service. Wow!!! Sarah was just here for the first cleaning! To say my house needed a deep cleaning would be an understatement. She did an amazing job and was very easy to work with. Since 2014. We started with routine residential and have slowly added, commercial, moving cleans, construction, windows, carpet & so much more.

We prefer bringing our own but we will use what you like if provided. We always ask that you provide, a vacuum, mop and broom to avoid cross contamination and its a lot easier on us as well to not have to lug around the bulky equipment ?

I was a single mom going to college while working part time as a customer service representative. At the time I was struggling to find balance, time and any financial gain. I wanted a better quality of life for myself and my daughter.

With cleaning residential homes I seen an opportunity for positive change and took the leap. Eventually left college and my part time job to turn my side cleaning into a legitimate company.

My goal was to achieve freedom. Freedom with my time, finances, to be able to take a day off if my kid needed me and the freedom to create the life I had dreamt of.

When I started, I didn’t know anything about running a business. It took me years of teaching myself, reading everything I could and trying every approach. I have faced obstacles, resistance, challenges and learning curves.

With a healthy dose of optimism and a dream I continue to move forward in growing my business. Creating something from scratch like my grass roots company has brought me happiness. Being able to create jobs, face and overcome challenges and providing quality services for our customers has really made me.

While I can't say cleaning toilets is my passion, I can say the business of cleaning toilets has sparked a passion in me. Weather I'm scouring the inside of toilet, hiring a new employee or writing up an invoice I do it with passion and pride.

Cleaning up that post construction chaos .

Similar to our deep clean but typically done once a year in the spring or fall. (Spring cleaning)

Move-in or Move-out cleanings are done either prior to moving in when we're hired by the new homeowner or as a curiosity to the new homeowners for the previous homeowners

Event clean ups are done to handle the aftermath of a hosted event. Holliday parties, birthdays, ect.
