Joey was the DJ for our June wedding and he was on time, professional, and very fun! Our family, friends, and especially my husband and I had a blast dancing to all night long. He took requests as well as played a variety of music that everyone at the party enjoyed. He helped our coordinator with keeping everything on schedule. Joey is such an amazing guy. He got there a little early; which was great because we too got to the reception hall early, introduced himself to us, started playing background music right away. I was truly blown away by how professional he was and kept coming up to us to make sure everything was ok. He was blown away because we fed him as well and absolutely loved the soup the hotel had. Joey is one of those people that takes his job seriously, but likes to have fun with it. His website is incredible as well. He has over 75,000 songs on it. I didn't know where to start and came up with the idea of just choosing top 100 songs from the decades. It worked, people loved the music I chose and Joey did a wonderful on mixing it up for us. The secret to keeping a party dancing all night long is using the Open Format programming. Which is a mix of popular music across all genres and from all decades. Keep in mind that most weddings and events are largely a group of people with different tastes in music, it's important to find the sweet spot that everyone will enjoy.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
We consider our DJ style truly professional. Our DJs have many years of experience and are well versed in all styles of music. We have an incredible ability to read a crowd and keep them engaged. Most importantly all of our DJs have the unique ability to blend dance music live. Doing so makes a change in song virtually unrecognizable and builds an incredible energy on the dance floor. We will Emcee the entire evening handling all formal announcements. Once your dance floor is open our mic use is extremely limited. We like to let the music take its course and provide the ideal atmosphere for dancing.
What do you love most about your job?
Being a professional DJ is truly an exciting and fun career. It has allowed our DJs the opportunity to experience a wide array of wedding ceremonies and receptions from traditional weddings to multi-cultural infusion weddings. We have provided entertainment to thousands of weddings and special events. There are so many different types of love you get to see and experience at weddings while performing that just puts a smile on your face to provide the very best entertainment experience for everyone at the reception or special event.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Inspiring people to get up and dance at the reception and keeping them entertained is just part of the reason we love to DJ. It is always exciting to see the bride’s grandfather break dancing or the groom performing a special choreographed routine with the groomsmen for his new bride. It is inspiring to get to meet new people and make new friends while providing entertainment at their weddings. You never know the interesting people you will meet and the stories they share about their life experiences. You could even encounter actors, astronauts, foreign dignitaries, and professional athletes.
