We recently visited the destihl brewery on a Sunday, early afternoon. The brewery is spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and bar seating. The menu has vegetarian options, salads, flatbread pizzas, delicious sandwiches, burgers, and Specialty dishes. On Sundays they have extra brunch items. We started with battered asparagus and cheese curds, both are excellent. We had the French toast, the poutine, the bratwurst platter, a turkey club, and bacon wrapped meatloaf. For drinks we tried the Bloody Mary destihl Brewery Style. All of the dishes were delicious but the bacon wrapped meatloaf was served on top of garlic mashed potatoes and surrounded by a creamed corn. This dish was spectacular. I highly recommend taking the tour - our tour guide was hilarious, well-informed and helpful . The tour itself was just plain fun, with a tasting at the end. Whether a professional group or group of friends, this is a total win. The facility is immaculate, top to bottom. The service was fantastic. I’m going to come back in the future and try the food! The only thing that slightly dimmed the overall experience was that I took the tour as part of a group and I was from from out of town, never having been here before. I arrived and asked the hostess where we would be meeting and she had no clue. Nothing was written down, she wasn’t aware of our group coming in and had no knowledge at all on where our large group was going to meeting up. To her credit, she did ask around and finally determined where we were going to be. Perhaps leaving a note or having a scheduling system at the front hostess station can prevent future confusion for others. More...

Pineapple Pork Tacos were very tender; lacked some spice, but overall very tasty. The Queso Fundido was very yummy, but would've liked a better chip- to- dip ratio. Really enjoyed the Banana Cream dessert! The sweet and salty combo along with warm bananas was divine. This place is a great. The beer is awesome, the food is spectacular, and the atmosphere is perfect. I'd say that it is the best brewery in Central Illinois. It is kid friendly- they offer many other freshly brewed drinks besides beer and wine and have a larger and larger food selection every time I visit! In terms of beer- I recommend the destihlinator, which everyone seemed to love. Many people also got shots- the waiters/waitresses know the food and drink well and can aid you on selection. The food is also great. There is no specific style- a little bit of everything. I got Thai fried chicken and rice- very tasty and well made. However, if you don't enjoy spicy food, I don't recommend it (it's not all that spicy, but the spiciness definitely culminates). My group also ordered the Sunday special fried chicken (we usually go on Sundays, about once every 2 months, after church) which is some of the best fried chicken in BloNo. The other image is the Cajun shrimp and grits, which was also a little spicy (cajun), but had great taste and blend. Great brewery, good food and service. Beware the pricing, I brought two of my Destihl growlers in to refil. One of the brews I chose must have been pretty special and I didn't know it and nobody told me. I later looked at my receipt and realized I was charged $38, ouch!
