the food wasn't too shabby the decor however was a bit of a hinderance to the enjoyment of the place. There iced tea is delightful the service however was a little rude the place was pretty busy when I was in so that may have been rudeness caused by stress however it was a halfway enjoyable place.

As a visitor on a trip to Kalispell and not knowing any good food spots, I went to trusty yelp and found this highly reviewed spot. Although the amount of great reviews and # of people reviewing this place speaks for itself, I myself would like to say that I'm a fan of this place.My friends and I parked our car in the lot. And we walked into this decently spaced dimly lit restaurant. We sat down and started ordering right away because we were starving. SMOKEHOUSE NACHOSOriginally, my 2 friends got it to share between them two, but my god, the tray is huge! In the end, all 5 of us ended up sharing 1 appetizer. The amount of chips they give is definitely worth what you pay for. On top of that all the toppings, the sauce and beef brisket meat was on par. I would totally recommend this!BEEF BRISKET PLATTERMy friend and I decided to share 1 platter. We got the beef brisket platter with a side of cajun cole slaw and mac & cheese. The sides was what I somewhat expected, so it was good. But that beef brisket! It is well cooked, but so soft that it melts in your mouth. It was amazing. I would recommend anything beef brisket related. Apart from my good food, the service was good! Our waiter was so friendly and had a smile the whole time.And when I told the waiter that my friend and I were sharing the platter, she legit brought us 2 plates of half the platter on each. I thought that was so thoughtful. What we could have done ourselves, they did it for us and saved us the hassle. It was something not expected, but a good surprise. Man, I can't believe I never left a review. I was going through my phone and came across some old pictures. So, to the staff and owners, I am sorry for the delay because you guys are amazing! ! I can not tell you enough how fantastic the food and service here are. I do not think I have eaten that good since I left, and I am in Dallas Texas. I used to work for Traeger Wood Pellet grills so I had the pleasure of traveling the country and eating BBQ all over. This place is still on my top 3 list!! I wish I could just drive down the street to eat it again, because they do things with meat that are just insanely amazing!! I hope to make a trip back to the area in the near future, because I would LOVE to have some more of that pork belly or brisket!! More...

Dinned here on two nights during my trip to the area. The food was fantastic. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. The nachos look very tasty. I enjoyed the brisket philly with collard greens and mac and cheese the first night. The brisket platter the second night. With collard greens, mac and cheese and potato salad. It was very tasty. Excellent cornbread, nachos, ribs and brisket. Brisket and ribs was tender and juicy. Cornbread was buttery and moist.  Salmon salad was ok. The salmon, while wild, was on the dry side. Stopped on the way passing through.  We were very pleased with Tammy, our server, she was so nice and efficient.  The food was amazing. We had the nachos appetizer and OH my goodness it would have feed 8 people and there was jus two of us.  I had the Purple Haze salad and husband had the brisket platter with the jalapeño Mac and cheese.  I HIGHLY recommend this place.  The sign says "The Forge" so that thru us off the fist time looking for it.
