Derick is a phenomenal makeup artist. I saw his portfolio and saw how great the quality of his work was. I wanted a bold, dramatic look for a Bodybuilding competition. I gave him free reign to "make me pretty" and use his creativity and expertise. I loved it! I didn't want to wash it off. I highly recommend him. He was so nice. So professional. He knows what he's doing for sure. My makeup lasted from the morning all the way through the hot stage lights and all that evening. I'll definitely be using his services again. One of the best things about my makeup for my Bodybuilding competition was that I didn't look ridiculous with this extra light face and this deep dark show tan. I can't recommend Derick enough to anyone who is approaching a day when they need to look their best. Derick made me look radiant for both my winter engagement picture session and my September 2017 wedding. He gave me a timeless, classic and clean look that made my best features stand out. I looked like myself--just a very spectacular version of myself. He isn't cheap, but it was worth to, on my wedding day, not have to worry about any detail of my makeup. On top of being extraordinarily talented, he's a calming person and excellent listener when it comes to feedback. One bit of advice: I'm glad Derick encouraged me not to skip his free trial, where we got on the same page about things like lip color (berry vs. red) and the appropriate level of eye drama. Derick provided bridal makeup services for myself (bride) and my bridesmaids and mother of the bride. I was so impressed with his services from being in a friend's wedding earlier this year. Derick has a fantastic way of creating a natural and elegant look while utilizing natural lighting to create that look. I never thought I could look the way I did on the day of my wedding. Derick is a miracle worker! I've never heard the words "Karen" and "stunning" in the same sentence before. Not only was my make-up amazing, so were my bridesmaids, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, and godmother of the groom. We all felt like models. Derick's work ended up above and beyond expectation for me! I've seen his work through photography, and he has always come highly recommended since our first meeting, however, the personal confidence he gave me with his make-up artistry is beyond words. I was dancing with the MN Ballet for their Celebrity Dance Challenge, but going to a reception afterwards, so was looking for something special and showy, but not too over the top. Derick came highly recommended and met all of our expectations. I was able to do a make up trial a few weeks before our wedding and was nervous about getting my make up done because people always seem to overdo it. I've never had my makeup professionaly done before, so I was a bit nervous about doing this. But in the end, I felt amazing and very beautiful on my wedding day!!

Derick and I emailed each other back and forth a lot. And I was never waiting for days on end to get an email back from him. It was really nice to have a response in a quick matter of time. Especially when it comes to something important like your wedding day.
