FOOD IS DELICIOUS! The service was great! Highly recommend trying this place out! Just a small mom and pops place!

The Deliciouso is my favorite Italian sub. The Turkey Over Italy is to die for too. Great local deli.

I've had Deli George a couple times and it's always been pretty tasty. I got the pulled pork sandwich today which is a current special and it honestly was almost inedible. The brisket was harder than beef jerky and I couldn't even eat the most firm parts of it without breaking teeth. A bit disappointing. Hopefully this is isolated to the special. More...

Very tasty sandwiches - Ruben that I have had on the east coast have corn beef with thousand island dressing but AM NOT COMPLAINING! Potato Potato. Wife had the brisket and was not disappointed. Glad we found them!! Will be back. Next time it will be the Steak & Cheese - Philadelphia style? We will see! More...

I used to love this place, but it has lost its charm. I'm guess the management has changed since the last time I was here. I hope they get back in the game.

Ate there 8 years ago and it was great. This year I returned while in town. Ruben was the worst. Like 1/2 portion of meat didn't cover all of sandwich and sauerkraut picked up dirty grill coloring. Not going back.

This is a small mom and pop feeling place when you walk in. I judge all of my delis on a rubin sandwich. This is one of the good ones. I am so glad to stumble across this place and I will be back. More...

We normally love this spot! Absolutely delicious sandwiches. I've never had this experience before but, for a $12 sandwich I'm pretty disappointed in the size.

Second time stopping by. First time they were closed. What place isn't open on the the weekends? Deli George! Our son recommended and raved so it must be worth the wait! We returned. Returned and it smelled good. Front door was propped open with an old dirty gas grill. Tried to ignore that. Still went inside. Sort of reminded me of Jerrys in LA which is a compliment. So we ventured farther in and gave the place a good look over and proceeded with the menu. Initially behind the counter wasn't very friendly. The older lady was not friendly at all. Not sure what she was upset at but I'm guessing it wasn't us. A young man jumped up at the counter eager to order. I ordered the Not Italian and hubby ordered the Club on wheat. Both were good. Mine was a little dry. I would return and try again. I would ask for more condiments next time. The rift behind the counter I'm not sure about but it can't be good for business. More...

We picked this place based off of the reviews. That was a mistake. My sandwich was barely edible and I'm not being picky here. There were four of us and 3 out of the 4 weren't happy with their food. The place also looked like it seriously needed to be cleaned. Come on Deli George - I know you've probably been around for a long time but you've gotta step it up! PS: The only good thing about this place was the very friendly kid running the cash register. Maybe make him the manager? More...

I tried this place because it was close to my work- so glad I did. Chill staff, great sandwiches, smackin' potato salad, and they always have good music playing. I have been back many times and will continue to. Consistent, delicious, and fair prices. More...

First off the staff was very friendly. The food was pretty good. I ordered the stuffed avocado, but it wasn't stuffed in an avocado. The chicken salad was very good and the veggies on the side were really tasty, but there were just some slices of avocado on top, which was a bit disappointing. All the sandwiches were good- the meats are the star of the show- high quality and delicious! They are extremely heavy handed on the mayo though, if I'm in Boise and come here again, I'll definitely request light on the mayo. More...

Amazing. The bread for the sandwich is top notch. Fresh cut meat to top it all off. Yum, yum, yum.

Insane sandwiches right across from our hotel, Courtyard Marriott! Boise cheesesteak with mushrooms was the special of the day! What a special sandwich that was! Great vibe & service. My wife & son loved the beef dip. We'll be back next time we're in town! More...

So I found this place when we were downtown and I shouted, "food near me" at my Siri. It's tucked away behind the long fast food lines it shares its corner with. But if you look for the smoke, it will lead you to the barbecue that is sitting next to their entrance. Step inside and your mouth is soon to be in pure heaven! The bbq smell fills up the entire area and if you order their slow smoked brisket sandwich on a pretzel bun, you will be in for a treat. I made the mistake of ordering 2 of these sandwiches, one for me and one for my husband. It's huge! It's packed with this, straight from the bbq brisket. And this is not your Aunties, old, dried out Rosh Hashanah, Brisket. This is the kind that falls apart when you look at it. And it's on a homemade pretzel bun with all sorts of other good stuff to make your mouth water. One of these sandwiches would have been more than enough for the 2 of us. But lucky for us, now we have a whole sandwich to take home. Plus, we ordered one of their Turkey bacon avocado sandwiches to go, for our son. They kept it in the cooler for us while we dined in. Every sandwich I saw coming out of the kitchen looked well worth a try. Especially their pastrami! YUM! I felt like I was back at Katz in NYC for a moment! It's great to see such pride being taken in the classic Sandwich! We will be back soon to explore more of their tempting menu! More...
