I had the pleasure of placing an order with the delightful owner of Del Mar Floral.  She was so considerate that called me back to let me know they did not have a particular species of flower I expected for the arrangement and offered alternatives for me to consider.  That's certainly never happened with any florist I've ordered from before!  The arrangement delivered to my friend was stunning and the customer service of this establishment is the best I've experienced with a florist business.  I highly recommend Del Mark Floral & Gifts!! My 3 and 5 year old grandchildren (with the help of their parents) sent me a flower arrangement to arrive at my office after spending a weekend at our house. When my sister passed away recently, I was given the daunting task of ordering the family spray for her service.  I did not know where to turn to receive the type of care and attention my sister deserved in such an important floral arrangement.  I found Del Mar Floral & Gifts on-line and called to explain my dilemma.  The person who helped me with my order was incredible.  She was kind and comforting and seemed to understand exactly what I wanted, including the magnitude of this decision.  On the day of the funeral, when we saw the spray for the first time, it was clear the florists prepared it with the best of care and the best quality.  Simply stated, it was gorgeous.  And I have to say, the beautiful hummingbird that landed on the spray just as the service was beginning seemed to agree.  I have a heart full of gratitude for Del Mar Floral & Gifts helping us honor my sister in the most amazing way.  You have earned a loyal customer. I used Del Mar Floral & Gifts for our wedding because we had bought flowers for the house many times from their Carmel Valley store before, and they always created incredible bouquets! I didn't even know they decorated for weddings, but I was so happy I asked because YES they do, and they do an amazing job! They decorated my arch exactly how I wanted it (simple yet elegant, while keeping the budget low) and they created bouquets and chair end pieces for the aisle. They incorporated all of my specific requests and I was even able to fit corsages and pinned flowers for my parents and grandparents in the budget! I was in a panic trying to organize a [last minute] surprise for my parents' 30th wedding anniversary all the way from Virginia. My goal was to have champagne waiting in their room when they checked in. The hotel was kind and accommodating but unable to take payment over the phone, meaning they would have to charge the champagne to the room. I was able to coordinate with Del Mar Floral & Gifts, to have champagne and flowers delivered to the hotel, same day, within a couple of hours. The woman who helped me recommended the liquor store a few doors down, looked up their hours, and gave me their number. The friendly staff at Carmel Liquor Store dropped off a bottle of champagne within minutes and Del Mar Floral took down my order, assisted in writing a message, and So impressed and can't thank you guys enough for helping me out to make this trip extra special for my mom and dad! My friend loved the flowers I ordered and said they lasted 2 weeks!!  It was unseasonably hot on the delivery day and this florist took the time to call ahead to make sure my friend was home instead of just leaving on the porch. Came to our rescue last minute. We had a wedding 9/26/15.  We lost our original florist for the wedding. On the morning of the wedding day, we contacted them in distress that we needed a florist. This is my second experience using Del Mar Floral, and dealing with the owner Anne. Unfortunately both of my situations dealt with the passing of people, but Del Mar Floral and Anne made the experience pleasurable, easy, affordable and of high quality. Thank you Del Mar Floral & Gifts for doing such a FANTASTIC job on my bridal bouquet!!  It turned out better than I could have imagined. I read countless Yelp reviews and met with several florists while deciding who to order my bridal bouquet from, and right when I met with Carol at Del Mar Floral & Gifts I knew that she completely understood what I wanted and would deliver.  All of the other florists that I met with kept trying to talk me into other types of flowers, but Carol was determined to get the types of flowers that I wanted, even white peonies!  They took the time to listen to what I wanted and we looked through photos together to get it just right.  I even emailed Carol additional photos the next day!  She called me to let me know that she found the perfect combination of flowers a few days beforehand, and even asked if I wanted to add more peonies since she found such great ones.  The final product was absolutely perfect, Carol really delivered and picking up my bouquet that morning set the tone for what turned out to be one of the best days ever.  Del Mar Floral will be my go to flower shop from this point forward! I have used Del Mar Floral for all important occasions locally and for distant deliveries as well.  The local arrangements have always been spectacular and delivered on time.  When I have stopped in to the shop to pick up something, the staff has always been most pleasant.  Recently a friend had an operation and I wanted to send flowers to her in So. I stopped in this place looking for a couple of arrangements for an event I was having at work.  I didn't know the first thing about flowers, colors, or making them look like something appealing. It was important to me to deal with a locally owned business in the neighborhood and one that had a quality product.  This place met all my needs.  When I told them what my budget was, (it was small), I wasn't made to feel like they couldn't do it. I think they sensed that even though it wasn't a huge order, it was still very important to ME.  The flowers arrived (they delivered them, even though I told them I'd pick them up) and they looked fantastic.  They made the room look awesome, and the colors totally popped.  I would highly recommend these folks and will absolutely use them again!!  (or hint to my loved ones how much I love this place) More...
