We renovated our lake house and added a screen porch. Because bathroom windows shared walls with the screen porch, we were looking for a way to keep some light in the bathrooms yet retain privacy. I met with Diane and she provided several options that would meet our goals of light and privacy, while keeping within our budget.

Not only was she able to meet our goals, she was also able to make a last-minute adjustment to one of the designs because of a measurement change.

She had various designs to show us and provided recommendations of what she thought would work which was very helpful. She was very personable, courteous, professional, and stayed within our budget. She sent us a paper design which we could review before making a decision. She worked hard to accommodate a time that worked with our schedule to come out and put in the design. Diane created an under water stain glass scene for me. She included fish, turtles, frogs, grasses and rocks. It is simply beautiful. My friends think the glass is great. The glass also blocks the sunlight and the animals's eyes light up. That is neat. I am very happy with the outcome.

We were thrilled with the decorative glass Diane made for the front door of our home, so you can imagine our sadness when one part of the glass cracked. Our kids were playing a little roughly near the front door. No problem for Diane -- she had the glass removed, repaired it and returned it a few days later. It's as good as new. Strictly by e-mail and telephone, I made an inquiry about a custom fireplace screen. Diane walked me through the process and as soon as our remodel was complete, I contacted Diane again. Decorative Glass Solutions is a highly professional company with which to work. Diane, the designer, suggested several options, and once she knew what I wanted, was able to arrive at a design that suited my taste. I wanted a design for French doors which fit with my traditional style of furnishings for a home office, and she did just that. I was so pleased with the design that I had her carry it over to make sidelights as well by modifying the design to fit those. I am in love my with my transom window. The colors and craftsmanship are spot on. Diane was very open to suggestions and she created a beautiful design. I had custom windows designed for the entry of my home with two side panels and a transom. Diane created iris flowers per my request for the side panels and favorite birds across the transom on a vine. We finally tackled our unfinished basement. It turned out great. Black granite fireplace and matching wet bar with refrigetor and microwave. Floor completely tiled with porcelain tiles laid on a diamond pattern etc. However, the old sliding aluminum basement windows detracted from the new look and reminded us of what the basement looked before we undertook the project. Diane at Decorative Glass Solutions provided the perfect solution. She carefully measured the existing glass panels and designed and produced gorgeous leaded glass panels that are simply glued to the existing old sliding panels. That means that no new windows needed to be installed (saving us the expense and mess) and the old panels continue to slide and function as before. No loss of functionality and the windows now gleam like jewels as the outdoor light shines through its multiple bevels. . The result is a gorgeous "new" window tha fully complements the rest of the basement project.
It is pricey but you fully get what you pay for. More...

Diane Fairburn was such a delight to work with. We selected a 4x4' leaded glass stationary window for our master bath, that was already designed. Our builder installed the window over a free standing, claw foot tub. The sunlight provides such beautiful reflections based on the different types of glass used in the design. We were put in touch with Decorative Glass Solutions by the company we were working with to do a much-awaited addition to our home. We had seen some of the glass work on line and in person in a showroom and it looked beautiful. Our need was privacy glass for a ground-floor bathroom as well as glass for cabinets in our new great room. I hired Decorative Glass Solutions to make a stained glass window for my house last summer. Diane was fantastic! She came to the house, discussed everything about the window with us, took all the measurements, and sketched out a rough drawing of just what we wanted. She provided a lot of guidance for us but also listened very carefully to how we wanted it to look. A few days later we got a full size sketch along with samples of the glass (for color and texture). It only took a few weeks to have the finished product delivered and installed in our home. We liked it so much that we had her make a second (very different) window for another location in our house. Upon moving into our new construction home, we found we needed privacy window covering in our master bathroom and wanted an alternative to window blinds. We put patterned glass on 2 doors plus sides and they did a wonderful job.

The entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. We started with one door to see if we liked it and then called them back and had them do another room. We even had a small problem with the second room and they came and fixed it immediately.
They were very helpful to us in choosing which glass to use for each room (depending on the privacy we needed).
