My daughter and I visited this restaurant where we had Shrimp & Grit Balls for an appetizer. She had the fried shrimp while I had the Marshi Gras Jambalaya. The food was quite good. I also had a Huger Street IPA from Palmetto Brewing (Charleston) which was also good. The only issue was that we had to park across the road as all the other spaces were full; however, this is also a good thing as it shows it's a good place to eat and they've been there for 27 years. A MUST GO TO!!!!!I fell In love with Murrells inlet and this unique wonderful restaurant!!!! Make sure you try it if you love oysters, burgers and roasted veggies! !!I had perfectly steamed oysters that were meaty with all the fixings!!!The house salad is fresh and delicious and perfect temperature.The walls are a sad delight of people's beloveds dogs of the past and it is a sweet tribute to them!! I know next time I go to this wonderful place I will bring my 2 rotties framed and honor the lives I had with them!  Hubby had the burger which I tried and it was the best, cooked medium rare to perfection with a grilled Smokey taste!!We got there a little after 4 and it was happy hour so my oysters were only $20 for 2 dozen instead of the meal price of $22!and I got 5 extra. You also Get I  believe a dollar off each drink. I had a tap Blue moon with a big piece of orange squeezed in as well! We couldn't ask for more, nothing fancy but great  food, great service and comfort( thanks Skip!!!) and an interesting atmosphere. Sit inside or outside on the patio it's great!!!And don't forget to visit the merchandise for sale in the front!!! You will have to get a Dead dog T shirt!!!!! More...

While visiting the Murrals Inlet area we stopped at the Dead Dog Saloon for lunch. I tried the Mahi-Mahi Tacos and my wife had the Pulled Pork Sandwich. She found the pork a little dry, which made her think it sat around awhile. My tacos were good but I thought they were a little dry also. The service and atmosphere were very good.
