What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Having DJ'd in so many venues--outdoor and indoor - we've seen a lot. Keep in mind from our experience, small dance floors are too cramped and big ones make people too self-conscious. Here's a good rule of thumb: There should be at least three square feet of dance floor space for every two guests. So, if you have 150 guests, you would need a 15' x 15' dance floor; 200 guests would be about an 18' x 18' area; 400 guests calls for about 25' x 25' of space. Ask your reception site about adding on extra flooring if the standard seems too small. And one more thing—make your dance floor the focal point of the room, not tucked into a corner. By highlighting it, you send guests the message that dancing will be a big part of the evening.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
we are what the host/hostess or guest of honor wants us to be. We specialize in making sure the right DJ is paired with the right guest of honor. We actually provide anything from your classics, to Top 40, all country, disco, 1920's brass ensemble, even specialized Christian receptions -- anything off color can be certainly toned down. Apart from that - it's all about you and what YOU envision your party to be like.
What’s your signature dish?
Our caterers work with you to provide exquisite dishes - truly to your liking. We have menus to choose from, or.. you tell us what you'd like.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We meet with our caterers and develop the theme, the style, the fare, and the dishes, or provide you with party/people pleasing favorites, or we can even provide you with dishes and tastes from around the world. Yes, truly, we can
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to know new clients culminating in making new friends.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Entrepreneurial skills matched with talent. Do what you love and love what you do.
Why should our clients choose you?
My staff and I have literally- for a wedding- worked 28 hours non stop for a bride to transform a wedding venue room in Long Beach @ Ocean Club because her previously contracted hotel -- the then not-yet-completed Allegria Hotel-- told her TWO weeks in advance that their room they had for her wedding would not be ready - NO BRIDE WANTS THIS !!! My staff and I worked all day, night, and into the next day - literally sewing curtains to make the Ocean Club transformed into a beautiful wedding site - and we did it... the bride sent me a customized Shutterfly book calling me, a miracle worker following her wedding and she and groom had the time of their lives. DJ and percussionists, excellent food ala the Ocean Club and no guest was left out of the celebration. Truly - we work for the client and get it done - no matter what. It's not complicated - it's simple - the client matters and their happiness matters most. Period.
