About

A full event planning company with its roots stemming from Jeff Darling being a well-known and sought-after Emcee in his glory days all over NYC and Long Island having worked with such luminaries as Paul Schaeffer of the SNL Band, Rod Stewart, Princess Caroline of the Netherlands and Phoebe Snow; as well as having appeared on stage with Billy Joel during his "Last Play at Shea". Jeff took his talents and combined them with that of his wife, Carrie, and together have formed "Darling Events" – a sister company of D.E. Entertainment which highlights our DJ business – where it all began.

The founders of Darling Events planners developed a passion for the field early on as restaurant and catering professionals. An interest in show business (forgive the cliché) was in our blood. The combination of working as an MC, Jeff’s showcase and competition ballroom style dancing and singing created quite a buzz in the NY area Bar / Bat Mitzvah circuit.

Those were some exciting times. After working with and for such entertainment luminaries as Paul Shaeffer (“Late Nite with David Letterman”, “Saturday Night Live”, et al.) and Paul Shaeffer’s Most Dangerous Band and with art icons like Peter and Mary Max to name just a few – we were hooked. What we learned about ourselves was that we loved to entertain -- the enjoyment we received from creating successful events and seeing the truly happiest people was destined to be our life’s work.

Darling Events is owned and operated by Jeff and Carrie Coniglio. While Jeff has been the creative force behind Darling since its inception, Carrie is the “strong woman behind the successful man” that takes care of the critical business details to ensure that Jeff’s attention and focus can stay on making your event extra special.
