Through her company, Decor Revolution, Karen Steinberg recently did a major renovation project for us. We re-carpeted the entire house (3500 sg. ft.), added significant new elements to the main stairwell, and installed hardwood floors in the entryway. During the process Karen was a model of creative thinking, patience, and clarity. Blessed with an extraordinary eye, she provided design ideas and concepts which were spot on. As excited as my wife and I were about her recommendations, we were even more thrilled when we saw the final product. Karen understands how to blend aesthetics with economy. She worked within a defined budget and made the absolute most of it. Over the course of the many meetings with her, we were continually impressed with her diligence and care. I hired Karen to help me think through window coverings for two huge sliding glass doors in my living room and dining room. The size of these windows and their sun exposure dictated a custom approach.
Karen helped me decide between vertical honeycomb shades and drapes, showing me samples and getting cost estimates for each solution. She also helped me decide on a color scheme that would work well with our home and existing furnishings, and helped me choose the drapery fabric and style. She gave me choices but didn't try to force her own ideas. I also appreciated her sketches of the chosen style and pattern, as I am a visual person. She then contracted with the drapery maker, managed the schedule, and personally oversaw installation of the final product, which was exactly as I had expected based on her sketches and the samples she presented.
I was very satisfied with Karen's work on this specific project and look forward to working with her again. More...

I was very happy with the work Karen did for me. Not only did she really take the time to get to know me and my preferred style, but I would even say she helped me further develop my style and provided new knowledge. Karen was great at using some of our existing furniture that was special to us and mixing it with new more modern pieces to make it all look fabulous together. Furthermore, Karen was able to accomplish that element of artistic touches that provide ambiance and atmosphere to the interior space. Overall, I am very pleased that Karen was able to accomplish a usable and aesthetically pleasing space for me.

She completely transformed the space into something above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend Karen. More...
