Must have the Soju! Lilikoi & Li Hing is pretty good but Watermelon still my favorite. Lots of meat in the Happy Hour Pork Belly and wings (we had the Habanero Buffalo & the Garlic Soy) are always good!

Got this place recommended to me by folks at work. I went and found the atmosphere that of a very pleasant sports bar, but with a lot of natural light and quiet. Always come with a group of family and friends! The plates are big enough to share and food is so flavorful. We always get the Duck fat fried rice & Kim chee fried rice to start, the kids love the garlic soy chicken wings. Choose that over the spicy Korean wings, trust me you can do without. Order the mandoo, pork chops, fried ahi belly and the rib eye! Yum! You can also do without the Kalbi and the poke. Twice when we ordered the poke it was SALTY. Drinks, stick with the soju. Our fave is the lychee. The staff has always been so friendly and helpful so that's a plus! A suggestion for this place, add desserts. Lol! This girl loves sweets! We were immediately greeted @ the front door when we entered this location @ approximately 5pm. I loved the atmosphere of the establishment. The music was upbeat, and there was several flat screen TV's on the wall, nice! Our server Dorian, demonstrated himself in a very professional manner. He was very polite & had a positive demeanor. Dorian, immediately took our orders, and informed us that he would be right back. After approximately 15 minutes he approached our table and carefully placed our orders on the table. He asked if we wanted anything else before he walked away. Dorian, was very friendly & addressed all our questions about several of the spicy dished. Dorian, showed excellent product knowledge. He was very well groomed. Thanks Dorian, for the excellent service that you gave our family during dinner. Awesome customer service from the beautiful female manager Cherice. She went over & beyond to make our dinner a pleasant one. She made eye contact numerous times & asked if everything was ok @ our table. Cherice, also demonstrated herself in a professional manner. She continued to smile as she walked around this establishment, addressing other customer and their needs. All I have to say is best kimchee pancake I have ever had!  The kimchee pancake was crispy and not oily like most places make them. The  bartender was also great and she gave great recommendations which included a Mexican candy margarita that wasn't even on the menu. More...

This place is really good. The drinks are tasty & the food is bomb. You can't go wrong here! We had the mandoo and kal bi shareable plates. So much kal bi meat!!! It was super delicious, my other half & I finished the whole plate together. He ordered an ahi plate (I don't eat seafood) and said it was the best he's had, and he's had a lot of ahi from all over, lol! We finished all the food on the table. Tried a lot of the drinks too, I'd recommend the Crazy Rich Asian. It's like a Cosmo but with a soju twist instead of vodka! I'll always come back here. Love that it's super close to where we live too. Another plus was that everyone who worked there was extremely friendly! It made the whole dinner into such a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Came here with some friends to celebrate my birthday. Located at the Kapolei commons by the theater. Ambiance was a bit loud. I wouldn't recommend bringing children here since it's a bar and could get loud, BUT the foods were ... anyways, came here with no reservation on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised that we got seated right Away. We ordered. Fresh poke, honey Korean friend chicken, kimchi bacon friend rice, kimchi pancake, tofu salad, and friend gyoza. I liked everything except the fried rice. I thought the rice was mushy. I was surprised that I liked the tofu salad. I think it's my favorite food of the night. Salad was flavorful and was really balanced. Poke was fresh and delicious, the fried gyoza was crispy and yummy, I didn't care for spicy friend Korean chicken was sweet and not spicy enough, the kimchi pancake was delicious the sauce that came with it made the whole dish in my opinion. This was my daughter's choice to come here for her welcome home and belated 21st birthday dinner. All I can say is that we really enjoyed this place. Most importantly, my husband enjoyed it and thats something because he is a Zippys kind of guy. Ambiance was nice and relaxing. The service was top notch! Young servers but very attentive and super nice. The food? Omg! When I told my family and friends where we were going, they told us what to order. The fried mandoo, the fried rice.... we also got the Kim chee pancake and the chicken. Omg. We were in heaven! Of course we got the soju! Melon and strawberry yogurt! Whoa crap! So good! I have never been to the parent location in town, but I had only heard good things about the kapolei location, so we decided to check it out. At first glance from the car, I have to say that this place has got some very nice curb appeal. The high vaulted ceilings and top-to-bottom glass windows were nice to take in. I was with a party of 8, and the staff was very accommodating. They were able to get us two tables pushed together in the corner of the room. I started out at the bar (as it was mostly my wife's friends) and I have to say that the service was exceptional. The beers were fairly priced and comparable to the other bars in the area (I think my Stella draft was like $6 or something). They have a full bar with a lot of signature drinks on the menu. My wife and her friends ordered the Shochu (It came in a cool little thermos thing), and the Watermelon shell shochu. Both were great!The pupus were pretty good too. Most of the food I would call "Korean Bar food", for lack of a better name. They had some korean pancakes, and a fresh poke plate. My party got the tonkatsu and the duck fat fried rice. I should have taken a picture of the spread but it was gone too quickly!Overall I give them a 10/10! A great place to spend the night with friends and family. Came here in October for a Friday night girls night and I loved it!We tried a bunch of Soju's. Lihing Mui, Strawberry, Watermelon, Lychee and a bunch of others I cant remember (sign of a good girls night. )The Lychee was hands down the best one and everyone's favorite! The watermelon one was like really pulpy like you know how you buy orange juice that has lots of pulp, that's what the watermelon tasted like that, and not that sweet, it was kinda watermelon water tasting. Definitely a no on that one (for mer personally.)Ordered the famous mandoo and everyone loved it and fought over it. Also ordered the ribeye (if your a plain jane like me, ask for nothing on top) they put a kimchee butter / flavoring on top, steak was good but I'm personally not a fan of kimchee flavoring, but it was good. Also ordered the kalbi that was really good, juicy, flavorful. I ordered a side rice and they came through with the portion size was big and I loved it!! Definitely packed and rightfully so the foods good, drinks good, good vibes here will definitely return next time we need a good drink!! We got together with our kids today and had a awesome lunch. As always the service was friendly and excellent. It was happy hour so that was even better (thumbs up)! It was crowded because a game was playing which we didn't mind at all. We had a good time and enjoyed all the dishes and drinks. We tried the taro Soju and wasn't that bad. Jordan and I like the Lychee Soju instead which we will have the next time. Faith was still under the weather so I ordered the bone beef broth. She tried it and was ok. She did love the gyoza instead and it was really ONOLICIOUS like the rest. We'll always enjoy our time with our kids where ever we go. Even though it's far from town it's worth the drive. GREAT FOOD, GREAT DRINKS, GREAT SERVICE. We came here from town looking for a great place to eat drink and relax. We found DB grill on yelp and were like why not lets try. We were greeted and seated right upon arrival. Right then and there I knew this was gonna be good. We ended up getting the chicken, kalbi, kimchi fried rice, and soju. Everything was so good I forgot to take pictures!!! Our waitress was wonderful always checking up on us and making sure we were okay. Her recommendation on the Strawberry hichew soju was amazing. One of the best bars in Kapolei.  This place is always busy and tonight was no exception. We got lucky and got 2 seats at the bar.  Service was great and good vibes.  Everyone eating, drinking, laughing good mix of families, locals as well as tourists.Drink assortment awesome! Gotta have soju in all flavors! A glass or a full carafe even in a watermelon! Soju drinks are strong which makes for an even better time . Food is superb!  Portions are family style so you can share. My faves? I have been here twice now, and both times it was a very good experience!! Once in awhile my fiancé and I would have a get together with my parents to eat out at a restaurant, they have been raving about DB Grill to us and we tried it out with them, the both times we went it was on Saturday evenings, so it's understandable about how it's gonna be packed. (They have a interesting waitlist system, which is that they ask for your number, and you get text notifications of your status on your table availability.)  The service here is awesome, especially the one tall guy, I notice both times going here, he served us and my parents appreciate his friendliness and his recommendations with the food they're interested in trying out. (Also, one thing I always look for in restaurants is how fast do they refill your drinks, and DB Grill has always been on point with refilling right away, no matter how slammed their restaurant gets).The food is really good, good quality and good preparation with each dish you order, my favorite dish so far is the kimchi fried rice. One of my favorite places to dine, during my visits to the area.  The menus has several tried and true dishes, but also includes new dishes periodically.  The staff is friendly during lunchtime and even moreso at night for dinner. Just finished a meal at DB Grill. We wandered in with two couples with 8 total kids all sandy from the beach. The staff was amazing! They handled the group, were very kind to the kids, and even cleaned up our sand. A couple of the kids didn't find something they liked and so they went next door, but DB was kind enough to let them bring their food in. The food was excellent.
