oh my goodness!!! This is one of the best restaurants in town!! We ordered every single meal. I’ll be frank. I’m originally from Georgia, stationed here for three years. Looking for southern comfort cuisine up here is hard and I drove 35 minutes to Davon’s Place to try it. I’m so glad there is authentic soul food available in Anchorage. Davons’ Place is the real deal, food tasted amazing. Love is the main ingredient here, followed by a healthy portion of Soul. Closed my eyes and my tastebuds said I was at a Soul food restaurant on the East Coast somewhere and “Big Mama” was in the kitchen. Glad we are able to contribute to a small business during these challenging times. When a small business shows that appreciation back with great food and wonderful service, they earn a customer for life.
