Yep, it's a gym with all the benefits of the glorious house of gains you'd expect from one, so you can move metal and get into a better shape. Multiple programs are offered. The preschool and summer camp are amazing. All of the staff there is great! Both of my kids attended each program. The preschool includes swimming lessons which I loved.

This is a great place! Opens early which works for my schedule. Usually a lot of space in the cardio/weight room. Some of the classes fill up quickly so make sure you sign up for the early morning classes (Spin, TRX). Friendly staff and the other people are pretty focused. Interned here my senior year of high school, and been coming here and working out ever since. The staff are all so friendly and feel like family! ! The Danvers YMCA has great swim lesson program! I have had multiple kids take lessons at various levels and the instructors have been great! Our 5 year old especially has made so much progress since he started in the Spring. He went from being afraid to put his face in the water from being to swim on his own the whole length of the pool & go off the diving board on his own by the end of this summer! The swim lesson director, Colleen, is very responsive over e-mail and they offer a wide variety of classes and times each day of the week to meet families needs. My twin boys have been taking swim lessons at Danvers YMCA for 4 years now. They have become great swimmers along their journey. All of the facility staff are so kind and accommodating. Colleen, the Aquatic Director, and her staff are amazing. They know my children and are always available to help. Any questions or concerns that I have had are quickly explained. My children's ability in the water is incredible. We have gone to pool parties with other children their age and I am always complimented on their ability. Having twins near a pool is extremely intimidating. I used to have EXTREME anxiety about it. The best thing that we did was to enroll them in lessons at the Y. The staff treat us as if we were members of their own families. I cant say enough great things about the Y. WE LOVE OUR Y FAMILY. More...
