I used CVBBQ for my 250+ person wedding and have nothing but amazing things to say about this catering company. I myself plan events and have very high standards for event vendors and take my reviews very seriously. CVBBQ is exceptional. Pulled pork sandwich needed sauce in my opinion. Althought the pork was nice and shredded and moist. Sides are very small portions its like I was having more a sample from Costco instead of a side. The half sandwich, side, and drink cost me $10. The 1/2 rack of ribs on fridays was delicious though. Has a somewhat great smoke line pulled off bone and good smoke flavor. CV BBQ catered our small wedding of 40 guests this week. The food was fantastic!We ordered boneless grilled chicken, tri tip beef, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes and caesar salad. The meat was so juicy and tender, and the two different sauces that came with the beef were a hit. The mashed potatoes were so smooth, creamy and flavourful. I can't say enough good things about Sean and his team at CV BBQ. They catered our wedding last weekend at the Living Desert and it was perfect in every way! We met Sean earlier this year and he allowed us to try a bunch of different things before making our final decisions and he also was so fast with getting back to us about any little question or change. He is so nice and easy going while being on top of everything and making sure your day is perfect. The pricing is amazing considering all you get-we fed 186 people and people couldn't stop talking about the food!! Literally, people came up to us while we were eating to tell us how many servings of chipotle mac and cheese they had-haha. We also had a ton of leftovers which was great. CV BBQ catered our wedding in Cathedral City and they could not have been more perfect. They are one of the more affordable catering options in the desert and their service and food is fantastic. Everyone raved about the food and we had leftovers for the next 2 days that STILL tasted good. Sean was so helpful during the planning process and always responded promptly. Highly Recommend. CV catered our wedding out in Yucca Valley and we were not disappointed. Having not tasted the food prior to our day we had to go on the reviews of recommendations of others. We had lots of people coming in from around the world and all over the country - and a lot of guests with sophisticated palates and we got so many compliments from our guests about how great the food was. The team were super friendly, flexible, stress-free and the food was presented and plated really nicely. Highly recommend the chipotle Mac and cheese, the tri-tip, the guacamole and even the roast veggies were delicious. I just want to begin by saying that this business definitely deserves all the five star ratings. I asked the owner of this company to cater my father's 75th surprise birthday party two weekends ago. I had spent many hours online searching nearby locations for good quality caterers and found that they are very hard to come by. I live in Arizona and was trying to plan his party from a state away. Parties are already hard to plan, but they are even harder to plan when you are doing it from a different state.Lets start off with the fact that I picked this company only based off of their reviews and Sean's amazing communication. Sean called me almost immediately after I sent my email (which I found is rare in this business lately). Throughout the entire process leading up to the event, he was super easy to get in touch with by phone and email. He responded to my emails within a day and made the process of making changes to our menu or party size very easy. He was very kind, easy to work with, and understanding. I usually would taste test food before booking a caterer, but given that I lived so far away, I didn't really have that option. I was really nervous about hiring a company I had never heard of or tried myself. However, I read the reviews, talked my plans over with Sean, and quickly took a leap of faith. I can't tell you how relieved I was to have this company take over the responsibility of preparing a meal for 60 people. They definitely did not disappoint. All the guests were so impressed and said it was the best BBQ food they had ever had. My brother also called me recently and expressed that guests are still raving about the food two weeks later. He said that guests keep asking him where we found the caterer and how they can get in touch with him. My father LOVED the food and was so impressed that BBQ catering could be so high quality and tasty. Most importantly, the food was amazing. It was very flavorful, the meats were juicy (not dried out), freshly made, and plentiful. We never ran out of food and people were returning for seconds. There are many selections of food to choose from and there are even options for vegetarians which you don't really think about in regards to a BBQ. We chose the ribs, chicken, tri tip, chipotle mac and cheese, fresh green salad, deviled potato salad, mixed grilled veggies, dinner rolls. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and even have considered one day using them for my wedding! OMG!!! I had the best chicken sandwich I've had since I moved out here from Los Angeles! My son had the brisket and sausage plate, which was also just as delicious, and I'm not a big beef fan! But in my opinion the BBQ beans........are HEAVEN! I could eat them as a meal! Everyday. For the rest of my life. My experience with CV BBQ Catering and Sean was excellent! My situation is a bit different as we had to cancel services due to personal reasons. However, Sean was incredibly kind and flexible in giving us back our deposit given that we gave him plenty of notice in order to secure someone else for our date. We signed a contract and per the terms he did not have to do that for us, but he did. He was very understanding to our situation. Even leading up to booking the services, he was very patient and prompt on answering all of my questions. Always seemed calmed and poised via email. Today’s my second time going to C.V. BBQ and I must admit, they are an extra special treat in the Coachella Valley. I’ve been known to jump into my Car and drive for miles for some good “Q”. But now, I only have to drive down the street. Today, I had the Chicken, Pulled Pork, Sausage (gratis, complements of the Owner) and Tri-Tip and I also had the Mac & Cheese and Corn. What an amazing meal, I’m still full. The Chicken was moist and flavorful. The Pulled Pork was absolutely amazing, well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Sausage was huge with flavors and just the right bite of spice. The Tri-Tip was to die for! Cooked perfectly and also well-seasoned. All of the meats were cooked and seasoned so well, that sauce wasn’t needed but it was a value add bonus. The Corn and Mac & Cheese were also on point. I was so happy with my Meal…. After my meal, I had a chance to chat with the Owner (Shaun and his Wife). Very nice people. We used CV BBQ to cater our wedding in Pioneertown. For our wedding, we inquired with quite a few types of caterers from food trucks to chefs. I found CV BBQ on yelp, and we're so glad we chose them. From my first contact with Sean to after our wedding day, CV BBQ was a dream to work with. They have excellent customer service. They are very reasonably priced. And their food is AMAZING.
