I emailed Peter about getting two raised planters and it was super easy. Took about 2 weeks from initial email to having them delivered, and they came out looking amazing. I contacted Peter by email with questions about building a potting bench. He was quick to respond and very easy to work with. The bench is very well made and exactly what I asked for. Really pleased with my purchase of a 4'x8'x18" cedar raised bed. I saw an ad on Craigslist after doing a little homework to find the best raised bed, and it was a great experience working with them from the beginning to end. Peter was my contact, and he was very quick to reply to emails and answer my questions. He delivered it on a Saturday afternoon and helped carry it to its final destination and it looks beautiful. Very sturdy and well built. They even put gopher wire at the bottom for me, and there were plenty of other customizations you could add, too. If I had the space, I would definitely get another one. Delivery is an extra fee and even though I live in Simi Valley, they still delivered it to me. Pretty reasonable for how far he had to come, too. Definitely would recommend! More...

I am a realtor and use Peter for staging outdoor areas. He is very professional and will fulfill a order in a timely manner and meets deadlines, no problem. If you are looking for wooden planter boxes, raised gardens, potting benches, or the like, contact Custom Raised Gardens.  I contracted Peter to build 5 large custom planter boxes for a backyard concrete patio installation .  The boxes look great and are just what I wanted!!  Peter and his father even installed the larger boxes to fit the slope of the concrete.  Even though he was very busy, he delivered all the boxes on time.  No whining, no excuses...just good work.  :)  And I'm so pleased with planters and the experience that I ordered 3 more!  This is a family owned business run with professionalism and integrity.  Highly recommended!Update 3/3/17  After the recent torrential rains, one of my planter boxes got a plugged drainage hole and filled with water.  The excessive water weight made the seams pull apart.  I contacted Peter to find out what would be the best way to fix it.  Not only did he recommend what to do, he came the next day and fixed it himself.  Then he put additional screws in the other boxes to prevent similar issues should major rains happen again.  Wow!  Amazing customer service!  Beautiful wooden planter boxes and a company that stands behind their products! I was looking for a redwood potting bench for my backyard, and I was so fortunate to find Peter's ad on CraigsList for his company, Custom Raised Gardens. He was extremely prompt in getting back to me via email, and provided me with descriptions and pictures of his products with complete price breakdowns. I wanted to see the potting benches in person, and he even scheduled a viewing for me despite his busy schedule. I ended up ordering a 5 foot redwood potting bench, and Peter kept me updated on the progress throughout and even sent me pictures and suggestions to make the finalized product perfect. When he delivered it to my house, I was blown away by the craftmanship and how sturdy it was. Wanted to give my wife a special Mother's Day present as we have a newborn at home and she's been wanting to get back into her garden. Told Peter from CRG my plans and he was able to build me a custom redwood potting bench with a drawer and a cabinet. He delivered it to me the day before Mother's Day as promised and on Mother's Day morning, my son and I surprised her with the reveal. She was so happy! It looks so great and looks so sturdy. Purchased my Potting Bench a couple of week ago.  Peter delivered it right on time as he said he would. Just Love it. Still trying to get it organized but I will. There are many people selling these & I researched most of them. Never thought to look at Yelp for Peters Company. Just looking at his work on line then speaking to Peter on phone then meeting him. These guys are great, and I love the garden boxes they made for me. They will customize them however you like. I bought rectangle and hexagon shaped ones, all with gopher proof wire on the bottom.
