I haven’t always been a photographer, but I’ve always prioritized self expression like a lifeline.

Believe it or not, but my background consists of military and law enforcement. I was a New Orleans Police Officer when I fell in love with photography in 2018. Not knowing I had undiagnosed PTSD, I had begun to lose all sense of self and hope as the work I chose piled boulders on my shoulders daily.

Photography saved me.

I created Curly Blue not only to empower my healing journey, but to inclusively share the powerful memories, self-expression and exploration photography can help produce.

I specialize in family and studio photography, but love to shoot events, businesses, and anything else that will give me an excuse to use my camera!
