The club and classes themselves are good. The contractual agreements are not. Carefully read and understand what you're signing. Also, be sure that your body is capable of doing the exercises. My back has been killing me and despite speaking to several instructors about form and possible modifications to some movements, it continues to be a significant bother. I canceled my membership at the Oceanside NY location in Dec. I was asked to refill the cancellation form recently and it was used against me to pay for an additional 30 days - after already being wrongly billed & accepting extended credits instead of a refund for months. This is so wrong. I’ve received texts that the only option to correct this is by sending me to collections rather than fixing this on their side. I have all the messages to provide proof and supporting documentation. I would not recommend - not bc I don’t love Pilates but bc of the risk of wrongly being charged or scammed and mistreatment. I had been a religious member of the club and then went overseas freezing my account. On our way we had to change credit cards due to fraud. I did pick up their phone once and said I would Steele the charges as soon as I came back. Today I went and not only did they charge me the fees but late fees and the monthly charge though my account was frozen. The manager was a nasty woman who kept saying she can do nothing. I just wish I would have started Pilates years earlier! I hadn’t worked out much for a few years and then started at Club Pilates after having back surgery. I have had the best experience at Club Pilates and credit their classes to my being able to walk today!! I do not recommend this Pilates studio. They have proved to be a corporation that cares more about money than the individual client. I reached out a week ago about terminating my contract due scheduling issues and not having enough time slots available with my work schedule. They would not agree to cancel my membership because I reached out 25 days before my next bill cycle and not 30. They would then have to charge me another month. They were not understanding at all. I gifted myself a 3 month membership for my birthday this year. I enjoyed the first few classes but even though I was going several times a week the staff was less than friendly so I decided to cancel after a visiting a different studio with a friend. I felt that the other place was warmer, kinder and had more open spots available for class. At Club Pilates I had to book over a week in advance and would be charged if I couldn’t make it. (All classes fill up quickly) I called the studio multiple times and could never reach a person. I did leave messages saying I would like to cancel my membership but never heard back. Thats interesting, because when I called and said I want to join someone called back within the hour to take my card number. After many attempt, I did speak with two different staff members and both assured me that it would be cancelled by the manager and I wouldn’t receive another bill. I DID get billed again. Absolutely love Club Pilates Alden Bridge & The Woodlands locations. I signed up in Sept 2022, for the 8 class package and went to the unlimited package before my three months was up. This will always be part of my workout routine. I feel great. My body has changed. Every instructor has a different style and I learn something new at every class. I experienced one occasion at very beginning, where I could not get a call back. They did call me back eventually, apologized and comped me a free class for being so patient. Growing pains. I have always wanted to try Pilates so today I walked into the Club Pilates in Evans . I stood there for a few seconds and reached for a brochure on the counter when a blonde headed lady came around the corner, I guess she was holding a class, and asked if she could help me in a not so friendly way. I told her I wanted to get some information on the classes so I’ll just take a brochure with me. She said okay and I walked out, as soon as I walked out she came behind me and locked the door!! I do not recommend Club Pilates. They have proved to be a corporation that cares more about money than the individual client. I reached out the end of 2022 to discuss terminating my contract due to cost and scheduling issues. I was encouraged to consider placing a hold on my acct and was told it would be a monthly fee of 15.00 to consider my options. I did so and then called today to cancel my membership altogether. I was told I would owe them another 230.00 and that I was not allowed to cancel my membership without penalty once my acct was on hold. A fact that was conveniently omitted when I was encouraged to put my acct on hold instead of cancelling. The only offer I then received was a reduction to 109.00. I received a new monthly contract and was assured it was just a formality and it would be cancelled. I have yet to receive a follow up showing that it has been cancelled. My time at the Lowry Studio was at time frustrating as well. Including teachers constantly being subbed and a teacher showing up almost 1/2 hour late to class with barely an apology an then we were offered a pair of socks as compensation. I'm overall very disappointed with my interaction with Club Pilates and would not recommend them to anyone seeking a studio to join. Very UNPROFESSIONAL organization. Joined last year. Needed to quit classes after 3rd class because of wrist injury caused by bad instructor. Lost my $269. Now a year later, they again charged my credit card $269 for membership renewal, despite their knowing I was injured & have not attended any classes for over a year!!!! I tried to cancel before my next billing date after the three month commitment and sent back all necessary documentation to still be charged. I then contacted my bank to file a claim and thankfully they refunded my money. The club then sent an email saying I have 244 dollars outstanding on my account. I called billing and they said my account is still active even AFTER it was apparently cancelled. I called the center itself and they said I was charged for a freeze (which never actually happened) and that I owe them (even though I was automatically charged from my bank account a few weeks ago).
