I am writing an update after my recent wonderful review. It's to WARN everyone not to get Dekton. My countertop got chipped within 3 months. And there is nothing I can do. The quality of the product is extremely BAD. I wish the salesperson had advised me of the brittleness of the product. Remember - do not buy Dekton.UPDATE - Ken at  Baystone helped get the installer to fill the area that had chipped. Thanks to the Baystone team with that. I am updating the review stars to reflect the help with fixing the chipped area. However, I will stay away from Dekton or other Cosentino products in the future. More...

I would highly recommend Bay Stone Depot and their team for your next remodel project.  From our store experience with Kimberly and Ken to the final installation with Francisco.  We are so happy with our calacatta quartz but most of all with Francisco!  He is very professional and had great suggestions for us to improve the look of our counter top.  The detail and speed he put into our counters was that of an expensive project but yet ours was small.  The job was very quick but PERFECTLY done.  I will certainly use them again for our bathroom counter tops. I am very happy with service and highly recommend Bay Stone.  Ken E.  helped us to get the right slab.  He is very professional,  knowledgeable and helpful.   I bought Cambria slabs for our kitchen counter top and bathroom vanity.   Ken was very responsive in store or email communication.Francisco M. is the fabricator and his team is the BEST.  They showed up as per scheduled date for taking template.   The counter top installation followed after two weeks and they showed up on time.  My husband and I were there during the installation.  They are very professional i.e bringing the counter top to the kitchen without any damage.  After the installation, they cleaned up everything before they left.  Backsplash installation was continued next day.   All installation were done in two days (4 hours on first day, 3 hours each day).  We are very happy with our counter top, backsplash, and vanities installation with Francisco M. team. My experience at Bay Stone has been very positive and highly recommend them.  In fact I have already taken two friends in with me.  Jeff C was easy to work with, answered all my questions and helpful in picking out my quartz counter.  Francisco M is a master fabricator and delivered a perfect product and on the day he said he would.  I did not give Bay Stone a five star rating because on a few occasions when I went in to look at tile, no one acknowledged me.  Having said that, they are a quality store with a wide selection of products, at competitive prices and I will buy from them again. We had a great experience with Bay Stone. This is the BEST place to get your countertop. Hands down. Please take it from an overly picky , difficult to deal with person. Coming here will be the easiest part of your remodel. Baystone may not be the cheapest place around, but just know that you will be getting the BEST SERVICE and HIGHEST QUALITY MATERIALS.Tip #1 - Book an appointment and get SUSAN GUO to help you. If you do a walk-in you will have to wait a while but it will be worth it. She will help you through the whole selection process. Whether you have an idea of what you want or not, she will help guide your remodel to the PERFECT look you want. We thought we knew the type of counter we wanted...but Susan gave us some other options that we went with because they were stunning. We would not have known about that color style without her. Tip #2 - DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR. Get your fabrication done here and ask for FRANCISCO MORALES. When we got our countertops templated, we found out that we were going to need a SEAM. If you do not know what a SEAM is, it is what happens when the slab is not long enough and two pieces have to be glued together. We were very nervous about how visible the seam would be. But on installation day we could barely even see it. OH EM GEE OUR MINDS WERE BLOWN. We have been to plenty of showrooms and we have not seen a white quartz seam done as PERFECT as ours. We have been working with Jeff since opening H2H back in 2008. Since then we ONLY shop for tile with Jeff and at Baystone. He is fantastic in all aspects and when it comes to reordering and getting materials in a timely fashion, he is the guy. But to be honest, the team in general at Baystone is always so friendly and helpful. The fact that we have selected many award winning materials from Jeff and this showroom only means that have got the good stuff!Scott, their marketing guru, has been very helpful in helping facilitate any new info on products and specials in the showroom. Highly recommended !Before my kitchen and bathrooms remodeling , I checked 8 stores for tiles and countertops options. Bay Stone Depot stands out as the place of :1) great varieties on tiles for wall , floor, backsplash, and countertop stones. Their stock ranges from leading name brands to low cost value selections, and whole gamut of choices in between. The quality of the selections are also impressive.2) very organized show room, nicely grouped, everything was clearly labeled. This really helped me vision what could work for the design, as well as see how things might play and fit together.3) professional staff: warm yet discretionary, ready to help when you need. 4) very competitive price - even for leading brand Spanish /Italian tile, or leading brand quartz counter materials. Susan was the rep who patiently listened to what I had in my mind, providing several suggestions, and helped me making decisions. She kept in touch to answer my questions during my selection processes, providing competitive discount on quote. I end up bought majority of my wall and floor tiles from Bay Stone, as well as a gorgeous silestone counter combo slab. The delivery for the materials are fairly smooth - just slightly over a week.  I also took advantage of the fab shop of Bay Stone Depot to fab my countertop. Francisco Morales is the guy who did template measurement , cutting, and installation. His work quality is superb, the veins in quartz counter are nicely matched in edge /corners to provide fluid flow , the corner and edges are perfectly finished. It really made the stone shine. We just finished building our home with new tiles for the main flooring, new kitchen counter tops/island and new bathrooms. Most of our tiles and all our slabs were purchased from Baystone despite visits to other good stores such as All Natural Stone, Porcelonosa., the Tile shop etc. Working with Ray  was a very fantastic experience. I am very picky about my selection and Ray recognized that and worked patiently to ensure I was happy with my choices. He never pushed me to speed up my decision. Recently I decided to update my kitchen, and was looking around for countertop material. One of my coworker recommended baystone depot, so I went to checkout. There I met Susan, who is very friendly and very helpful in helping me looking at different material, and listen to my need and give suggestions. Eventually I decided to purchase Cambria Qartz as my countertop for two reasons: easy to maintain and have the beautiful pattern I liked (there are many beautiful patterns). However there is one issue, the piece I bought is very big, need to be cut and fabricated, and the contractor I hired to do my kitchen update can't do fabrication. Susan suggested Baystone can do fabrication and install for me. I decided to give it a try (thanks Susan!).The process of coordination is a bit of pain, as old cabinets have to be torn down and new base cabinets have to be installed first before baystone can come do the measurement. After measurement, the stone has to be cut and fabricated, then need to schedule the install of countertop. I have to delay the new appliance install multiple times.Francisco Morales is the gentleman helped me with the whole measurement and fabrication and install process, he is very methodical and attend to detail, when he come to do measurement, he not just measure, he actually make template and the template adapt to the small changes of wall(as wall may not be straight explained by Francisco to me). And I also asked if he can cut the whole piece for one of the major area, and Francisco able to get that done for me. On the install day, Francisco come really early - before 7:00 :) , the large piece have to be carried by 3 people and still looking heavy to me, the piece fit perfectly into the place. After that, they vacuum and clean everything and grout necessary places, very professional. From beginning to end is less than two hours. And I have my beautiful countertop! can't thank you enough Francisco!During the process, Ken also helped me schedule with Francisco and very sympathetic to my not able to cook situation and try to get my install in as soon as possible. We made the drive from Santa Cruz as our contractor recommended. I thought I would be horribly overwhelmed as this place is large and has a huge and beautiful selection. We needed kitchen counter tops. Ken greeted us and it turns out he is a great listener and directed us to what he thought we would like, he was right! He explained in detail the differences in materials and the care and cleaning for each type. We choose quartz. The most fun was getting the backsplash tiles. They really have a BIG collection of decorative mosaics. Very impressive. You need to wait for ~1week for most of them, though. I picked a mosaic for my shower wall, paid the extra UPS fee to ship it from east coast to the store, and waited for one week. But when I got them, I found some of the pieces were broken. The small mosaics were falling off the mesh. It's not acceptable, and I wanna return the whole order because the good pieces won't be enough for my project. My salesman Ken ensured me it's doable although somebody who looks like his manager is pretty unhappy about it. I did receive a full refund check after 2 weeks. More...

Two months ago, a pipe leaked in the wall of my condo destroying an entire kitchen wall with countertops as well as a bathroom. We chose Bay Stone to install quartz in the kitchen and two bathroom vanities. We shopped around at several businesses and chose Bay Stone because of the quality of their work. These folks really know what they're doing. Ken was extremely helpful in helping us figure out what we were doing with this whole process. His easygoing nature and willingness to answer a multitude of first-time remodelers were very much appreciated. Francisco came out to make the templates and then to install the countertops. This guy is a pro at what he does. He designed the countertops so that there is NO seam in the pieces. He mitered the edge of the counters so there's no seam there either. He even mitered a piece of backsplash so it fits at an angle precisely with the backsplash behind the sink. Speaking of the sink, he cut the hole for the sink exactly flush with the under mount sink. There's no lip or gap. He even cut the soap dispenser and dishwasher air gap holes to the perfect spacing. Really, I can't say enough about his work. Now I can't wait to have the bathroom vanity come in so they can do that job too. More...

Bay Stone has so many different tiles to choose from for the same prices, if not better, than other stores. However, our awesome experience was made up by Ken the person who assisted us. Ken is incredibly helpful, honestly. He is so genuine and will take his time to put pieces together depending on what you like and your preferences. He is honest and will give you his opinion on what he thinks would look nice and even help you pick out pieces that looks beautiful together and make sure you love the pieces. We went to Bay Stone when we decided to redmodel our Kitchen and bathroom. Our contractor recommended us to take a look at Bay Stone. Our first trip there, we were greeted by very friendly staff and later Kimberly helped us. Before we were there, we have no clue about tiles or slabs or stones or granite but Kimberly helped us through and made us feel very comfortable. On top of the friendly staff, Bay Stone carries a very wide selection and have a lot of stocks. We end up changing our kitchen island and counter top, bathroom counter top as well as a wall mantle. On 4/12/18 I worked with Kimberly Spengler at Bay Stone. Prior to asking Kimberly for help, I was walking around overwhelmed and very discouraged. I didn't know where to start. We were sent here by our contractor and was told to ask for Kimberly to help us look around and get ideas.  When we arrived at 2:30pm, Kimberly had to go to lunch since it has been a busy day which is very understandable.  What we appreciated most was she tries to find someone else to help us, and Ray volunteered.  Kudos to these guys!  Ray was very informative and knowledgeable.  ig; We learned the difference between porcelain / ceramic and it's purpose and use.  This is a great place to go to.  It's very busy, so I recommend making appointment if you don't know what you want yet so they can give you the attention needed to learn and choose your materials.
