Throughout my gains and losses I have been with a few gyms and a few different states from Vasa fit in Northern Colorado, or ChuzeFitness in Denver Both top notch gyms! I love the gym and it’s facility. The people in it seem nice. Unfortunately, did not have the greatest experience with only my second time being there. I brought a long a friend and because I’m not experienced in lifting she came along to work out and help me. She is not a personal trainer but we’ve been working out together in another studio for a couple of years so I invited her to come along. She was actually considering joining the gym and was really excited about the facility before this. As we were working on one of the machines. She got on it first to show me how to do it properly. One of the managers literally came up to her and told her that she has to be working out as well instead of helping me because they don’t want her to take the focus off of their trainers because she is so built!!! Her exact words were “we see that you are so built but we’ve been having complaints and we don’t want the attention to be taken off of our trainers.” We were shocked and it was definitely disappointing being that this was my second time there and her first. First time I’ve heard the term being “fit shamed” why would they care if you have a friend helping you workout? My friend feels that she was targeted because of her personal appearance being that she was so fit and I literally felt bad. She’s not a trainer at all but I still don’t understand what the problem was and how you can tell someone that they have to be working out with you so it doesn’t take the focus off the trainers that are there. I honestly don’t think and don’t know if any complaints were made. The gym is definitely nice but as we know it’s not really about the equipment it’s about the environment and the gym as a whole. It’s already hard enough going into the gym and if you’re a person like me who is not educated in weight lifting having support makes it more fun, safer and easier. Is it okay if she spots me? I want to thank Crunch Lakewood WA very much for retaining Hiromi Sorrell as a Zumba Instructor. Hiromi Sorrell is the best Zumba Instructor I have ever danced with. I am a certified ZIN and have been doing Zumba for more than Seven-years. I travel to take classes from great teachers and Hiromi is the reason I enrolled as a Crunch Lakewood WA member. I have attended many ZIN Jams and Master classes and no traveling Zumba Jammer is as good as Hiromi. I consider both Crunch and myself as both very lucky to have an all-star Zumba teacher like Hiromi. I honestly believe that Hiromi would be nationally known as one of the best in the world if she didn't place her respoonsibilities of family above her career. I love this gym! I’ve tried two other gyms before Crunch and this is by far my favorite! There is always cardio equipment, which was a huge problem at my precious gym. My first thought when I walked into Crunch was that there are tons of ellipticals! The GM is very nice and willing to chat with members about classes, etc. One of the class instructors, Arianna, is fantastic! I usually go workout right after work, but I’ll be coming back in the evenings to take a class from Arianna. You can’t beat the prices either. My husband and I are paying about $40 for the both of us, when I was paying almost $40 a month for just me at my precious gym. More...

I haven't been to a gym in years so I didn't know what to expect. I just started at the lakewood crunch and my first day back was great. It’s a cool gym. I just wish they had a sauna or steam room but I’ll live. It hasn’t stopped me from going. Evening staff is nice....it’s the only time I go.

I had no idea there was a Crunch Fitness in Lakewood! I went into town for a trail at a different gym and saw this and walked straight in! Recently joined Crunch after trying out lots of other gyms. I'm really impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the upkeep of the equipment. I'm also glad that the dumbbells go heavier than 85 lbs. Honestly, I'm 99.9% happy with them. If they were open 24 hrs. I'd be 100% happy and a lifetime member. It's hard to get up after you worked until 2 a.m. and make it back to the gym before you have to go to work, but this gym is worth it to me. More...

Went in yesterday. The manager seemed nice, the machines and locker room seem nice, but I would suggest people be careful in the parking area outside the main doors. I talked to them about the huge potholes and they said it would be fixed soon. But, to be honest, my rating for whoever poured the concrete in the parking area would be a 1 star rating. Now, I don't blame Crunch for that. Nope... I BLAME THEIR SUPER SLOW CONTRACTERS FOR DOING A CRUDDY JOB OVER ALL! It should have been finished at least a month ago on the outside! More...
