I've been going here on and off for roughly 5 years. Although I'm no longer a regular I still love coming back and am treated like a member every time. This place changed my life after I broke my leg. I remember the first time I went, it hurt to jump rope and to hop over a bar. And it's cliche but I'm almost 40 and in the best shape ever. More...

Love this place. At 30 I thought my strength and fitness was on a general decline from my 20s but Braxton and his workouts pushed me to new limits and I can say I feel like I’m getting into the best shape of my life. Real deal. Crossfit 425 maintains a no nonsense, no BS environment while feeling simultaneously supportive and friendly. It's a solid balance. I've attended classes 3x a week for the last 3 weeks and I definitely intend to stay, thanks to Brent, Braxton, Krupa and the rest of the group. I did 6 weeks of crossfit elsewhere and was pretty sure I wanted to stick with it, but was struggling with a few techniques, wanting to check out a new place before committing. Great decision!

I really like the family atmosphere there. People are always cheering others on, it's really motivating to get that little extra push if you're struggling or getting tired! The same goes for the trainers, they are incredibly knowledgeable and will push you to your best. A couple quick tips from them and some practice had me doing cleans in no time rather than hating the front rack position to death. It might seem a bit intimidating at first, like you're the new kid in school, but if you want to fit in, they will welcome you!

The class sizes are usually about 5-9 people, and very of all shape size and ability. There is always a way to scale down if you have an injury or limitation, and they will never push you to do weight that will harm you. Form and safety first. Basically if you are willing to put in the best effort you can, to learn and improve, you will get from them what you give.

Whether you are just beginning or are looking for a new box to call home, you will not be disappointed if you show up willing to give it all you've got.

One year back I joined CrossFit 425 but had to stop after 3 months due to injury caused due to lifting weights way beyond I was supposed to. Now I am back in the same arena and this time no looking back . Here is my full story on this:I always wanted to look good and athletic since i was a kid but never got a serious opportunity or time to pursue that. Been to gym, group exercises etc etc but none caught me up with what I wanted.Had heard a lot about crossfit over internet and later met old friends who were doing crossfit for quite sometime and I could see the results in them.I decided to try out crossfit even though I have some issue with my knees and was not certain if I could do all those crossfit exercises.Then i saw Groupon for Crossfit 425 and it was very cheap and awesome deal for beginners like me and who are uncertain if they could do Crossfit cause of certain physical issues/limitations etc.On the first day, i asked trainer if my condition (basically I can run and do all daily jobs but cannot do full squats or lunges with ease, the pain in the knees restrict my motion) will be a blocking thing for me.To which, he assured me to concentrate on the upper body and i can then slowly work on the lower body for optimum results.I started going to Crossfit 425 for 3-4 days a week and i could see all the benefits like my stamina almost tripled, surprisingly my knees got better and slowly I was gaining the strength.Once the Groupon expired, I enrolled my self in regular classes which was still less than most of the other Crossfit's has to offer.During my 3rd month, i injured myself during a deadlift, it was all my mistake...I was comfortable at 135LB but straight went to 195LB and during 4th set, I injured my upper thigh muscle.I was still able to run and do all other routine jobs but most of exercises were limited due to injury.After consultation, i was told to take rest and I took a break for 6-7 months.Once i recovered, I enrolled myself again in Crossfit 425 and its been a month and I already see the difference :)...my strength and stamina are building. Now this time I am taking it easily with smaller weights, building the required strength, My thighs never felt so strong before and recently i did deadlift reps with 175LB with ease.Crossfit 425 is fun place for sure :)...made some good friends who are always willing to help and trainers are awesome. All the trainers: Braxton, Brent, Krupa and Sarah are fun to do workouts with. They push you to the right limits and always give that punch of humor when you are in utmost need during those tiring work outs.The wods (work of the day) that are designed here are awesome workouts, involve both fun and will drain out the last sweat from ones body ;)I would recommend anyone to try out this place and believe me if you really want to be there on the other side where you see yourself to be strong, this is the place where you have to start :). I have never done crossfit before in my life! I was very scared as I heard it can be very intense. I came for my first class and was immediately greeted by Braxton. He explained what to fill out, how the classes work, and made sure I did not have any injuries. He led the class and it was incredible! He really paid attention to all of the students and made sure I was doing everything correctly as it was my first class. When I was falling behind he came to me and helped me push through the burn! I am SO shocked at all the low star reviews as I had a completely different experience. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. Being a small 110lbs female, you get worried in such a tough environment that you will not be able to keep up. "Crossfit 425 is not just a box, it's a family."Crossfit 425 is a small hidden gem in the downtown Bellevue area. Although it seems to be a small gym in size, they are very efficient and organized that I have never felt cramped or that it was too big of a class for the room available. Being a student, the CF425 crew was able to get me an amazing rate that was not even comparable to any other gym around. They want to see you in there, and have a fix for every excuse!The trainers are involved, super friendly, and there to push you and get you to do your best. All workouts can be modified for any fitness level and injuries alike; they are different daily and are programed to combine strength training with cardio and agility. After my first week there I could tell I was being taught by people who really understand the anatomy of the body and encourage safe and fun workouts.Both Braxton and Brent are more than willing to challenge you to meet and exceed your goals, whatever they may be. First and foremost, they are always making sure that you have the fundamental movements down and will create strength programs to help you and your body get ready and be prepared prior to you advancing to a heavier weight or harder movements/techniques. You will get your butt kicked with some hard workouts, but you see results SO fast. If you're thinking about trying crossfit for the first time, looking for a new box OR just hoping to find a community where you can safely and effectively slay your health and wellness goals. .. GO TO CROSSFIT 425!I could not be more thankful that I've stumbled on this incredible box and their legit community of members and trainers. As a previous strength and conditioning coach, I can't tell you how much weight I put on the effectiveness of programming, present and aware coaches, AND the overall environment of a gym. This place has ALL OFF THE ABOVE. Having been a total NEWBIE to crossfit, not gonna lie - I was a little skeptical getting started. I'm so thankful that I checked myself and showed up for my first workout because I've been hooked ever since. This place has made being fit fun! I did cross fit once before in Arizona and vowed to never do it again because I injured my neck so badly from the routine. It was all about doing as much weight as possible and as many reps as possible with no regard to form. My friend told me about his place and explained how different it was. I constantly receive feedback on form and how to do certain exercises. And the group mentality is amazing. It pushes you to levels you never would've believed possible. At the end of every class you lay there completely exhausted, nothing left in the tank. What a feeling of accomplishment! You can't wait to come back.The classes are fun, we'll play tournaments of medicine ball volleyball for warms etc. Particularly like Braxton. I look forward to going to CF425 everyday! As a newbie to crossfit, I have had an amazing experience at this gym. The coaches have taken the time to teach and demonstrate the movements in a safe way and encourage students to push their limits. My experience at CF425 has given me confidence and I feel stronger physically and mentally. I have also never had so many strangers come up and introduce themselves with a smile and high five. I love the competitive yet supportive environment! Plus, there are dogs there sometimes. Overall, joining CF425 has been a life changing experience and I am so excited to see how this sport will continue to push me and make me stronger! Unlike typical gyms, this fitness facility is ONLY about the workout.  There are no mirrors, pools, or spa's.  It is in environment that encourages personal fitness success, responsibility, and accountability.  The CrossFit culture is not for everyone, but the workouts can be!   I have made some incredible friends, and I cant wait to go to class each day. My entire attitude towards fitness has changed since joining this community.  I chase the workout not the body appearance, and by doing so I am stronger and faster than I have been in my whole life trying every other form of workout.The programming at 425 is the best I have ever seen and I have tried over 20 other CrossFit boxes around the world. Based on the reviews it seems that people either don't like the gym or really love it.  For those who came once or twice and left, I would say that if you sticked around longer, you would have discovered a fun and supportive community with a very wide range of age and athletic abilities.  I came to CrossFit 425 about two years ago while recovering from shoulder and achilles surgeries.   Since then I have seen great improvements in strength, flexibility, range of motion, and general fitness.  Braxton and Brent are great coaches who work hard to give us great workouts every time.  I have received good instructions and advices that greatly improved my technics and prevented injuries.  Getting in shape takes time and persistence, and a great gym with great people will certainly help. Crossfit 425 is legit. They run excellent workouts, the members are so welcoming and friendly, and they are really just so supportive. They expect nothing less than 100%, and if you're new to Crossfit, it's definitely a good idea to go to their intro classes, otherwise it might be a bit overwhelming. Also, I am a college kid who was in town for a week or so, and Braxton was so generous and flexible with my situation. Braxton Brent and the CF425 family changed my life....After six months of prodding from a friend to start crossfit I joined crossfit425 because of a groupon deal.  I had been in ok shape in my high school and college years but years of sitting at a desk and working long hours took its toll.Thanks to the motivational and teaching styles of Braxton and Brent, 4 months later I am 30 pounds lighter (back to my old high school weight which I never thought was possible) and have a greater lease on life.  The only bad thing about joining the 425 family was that I had to spend a shit ton of money on new clothes....If you're looking for something different than the Globalgyms of the world CF425 is highly recommended! I've been coming here for about 3 weeks now as I purchased 20 classes from a Groupon deal.  I was skeptical at first as the first few classes I stepped into were very intimidating with all the strength training and power lifting techniques.  I had previously been taking boxing classes in Seattle, which was very interactive and fun, and ALL cardio.  Then after a few more classes, I found out that every class is incredibly dynamic and always changing between strength, core, and cardio exercises.  Brent and Braxton are intimidating yet helpful, funny yet serious.  If you're looking to get in shape, this is the place to be, all the regular members are also friendly, encouraging, and helpful in supporting one another reach their goals. I've been to a few gyms and this one is by far the best. I have been working out here for 6 months now and am impressed by the coaches and the workouts. All the classmates are great as well, making the culture top-notch. This isn't one of those gyms with meatheads and people who take things too seriously. It is one of those gyms where people work hard and support/encourage others when they can. My advice: stick with it! It will suck in the beginning, and you might only be able to do 1 or 2 workouts a week. But keep going! You will get used to it, your body will adjust, and you will have a lot more energy every day. Within 1 month you will already notice changes in your body and your energy level. Remember that it will all be worth it if you just stick with it. Also, don't compare yourself with the other classmates. Do weights that are comfortable to you, and try your best. Within one/two months you will be caught up and will surprise yourself when you look back. It is a great feeling!To summarize: This is a top notch gym with top notch trainers. Crossfit is difficult, but if you stick with it, and go at your own pace, you will be blown away. This gym nurtures and encourages that type of behavior. Hope to see you there! More...

Spouse and I bought a Groupon intending to get in shape and give Crossfit a try after many rave reviews from our friends.Can't say it was love at first sight (or first class) - that's when I learned the pull up bar and I weren't friends !  But after a few weeks and many sore muscles later, I'm a fan.  Their workouts have a great no-nonsense, get it done feel and while it's initimidating at first, most of the other crossfitters have been both welcoming and helpful.  Braxton is AWESOME - thanks for creating a competitive, yet fun environment. I'm skinny fat and trying out a couple crossfits in Bellevue.  I've tried 425 and Amped.  It's important to me that the trainers do a good job of making sure I use proper from during some of the workouts as I begin to build stength back up.  So far, 425 trainers are the best at this.  I don' want to be one of those ugly posts saying that I was permanently injured while trying to get healthy. I have been at CF425 for about 5 months and I'm in love! I had tried another crossfit location and felt a lot of pressure to increase the weight and go faster, which I know can lead to injury and long term pain. Here at CF425 Braxton and Brent are very knowledgable and supportive . They encourage you and offer advice to improve your training.  It makes you want to do better and grow.  It's intimidating in the The other crossfitters are supportive and helpful. My buddy and I joined using a Groupon and received 20 free sessions at the beginning of this year. We both joined for different reasons, but came to the same conclusion: Crossfit 425 ROCKS!  It is certainly imposing if your first starting out, seeing all the crossfitters go at it, but if you just jump into the fray, I guarantee you a workout that will keep you hungry for more. The support from the staff (Braxton and Brent) are top notch. They give just the right amount of encouragement and discipline, while the fellow crossfitters are just as encouraging (especially of newcomers) as well. If it wasn't for being in the NAVY and being called to serve my country, I would have definitely joined as a full time member,  My advice to you if your thinking about it: Less thinking and just go for it.
