Anyone who's been gluten-free for awhile can probably attest to the anxiety around finding a quality, reasonably priced, gluten-free bakery (GF) when they move to a new area. Of course there are plenty of commercially distributed GF baked goods to be found at WF and most other gourmet grocery stores throughout NorCal, but, they don't compare to fresh baked product. A year ago I moved to West Sonoma County and thus began my latest search for said bakery. I'm a Bay Area native which had some of the first GF bakeries in the country, and have explored quite a few domestic and international GF bakeries over ten years or so of traveling since I became GF. So, it is not hyperbole when I exclaim, Criminals' baked goods offering to be the the most tasty I've had to date. The management has clearly found an elusive original flour recipe, superior to stuff made from the ubiquitous Bob's Mills, etc. pre-packaged flours, you find in many GF bakeries and cafes. In particular the sugar and baking soda content which tend to be excessive (used as a mask?) in most GF offerings are refreshingly moderate in Criminals' recipe. And, the highly creative and successful range and combination of ingredients and flavors including nuts, berries and herbs, are original and superior to any other GF baked goods I've had to date. Keep it up, Criminal (yes there are some things worth breaking the law for)!!! And thanks for introducing me to a charming West End neighborhood for the first time. More...

Gluten free items were absolutely amazing. Their breakfast sandwiches were oh so good. It is a great place to eat. We are from out of town and saw the reviews and came to check it out. Yes it has limited seating but because they're in a corner of the gym, you can eat outside in the seating area that's covered by the gym. It's great! More...

It was so delicious. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. The bill was decent. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I loved.

Our brunch was delicious. There were lots of gluten free and vegan pastry options. The huevos rancheros were some of the best I've had.

It's the most marvelous little coffee escape, with a gracious and helpful woman floating behind the counter. I had the coconut macaroon and it was absolutely delightful. My friend had a skillfully layered savory scone, with perfect little pockets of bacon and cheese. Such a cool little place! Don't miss it! More...

Great outdoor seating-able to bring my dog and have a gorgeously delicious breakfast! Iced Chai latte and iced coffee were spot on. Ordered recovery homefries and huevos rancheros-both recommended. This was 1st visit, while in town for a wedding. Locals sat next to us and loved their meal too! More...

Wonderful bakery that almost seems hidden. Delicious food. Only complaint is that their prices are quite high. Vegetarian breakfast sandwich cost me $8.

This is a little hole in the wall bakery and coffee shop that not many people have yet explored. Unfortunately for me, the first time I went to the espresso machine wasn’t working and they were only offering drip coffee. The coffee was fine, but I can’t speak on how their espresso drinks taste. However! I got their breakfast granola made with fresh yogurt, fresh fruit, and granola and it was amazing! Probably the best parfait that I’ve had in a very long time. I was impressed and the ladies working there were very nice and helpful. Definitely will be going back next time I am in Santa Rosa. More...
