My 13 yo daughter spent 2 days in the 2D animation course this week and loved it!  She wishes she could have attended the full week.  Her teacher Sid was a professional animator and in 2 days taught my complete novice (using Wacom tablet and Adobe photoshop CC software for the first time) enough that she feels comfortable using them on her own.  She's looking forward to developing her skills further here in the future.  An added bonus--the owner DM is the sweetest and the space is lovely! After noticing that I was enjoying doodling, my wife bought me a set of four introductory drawing classes at Creatively Wild.  I loved it!  Super relaxed setting, teachers (mainly wonderful Sally!) met me at my level and gave me great guidance.  I'm continuing to draw more and more, thanks to the concrete techniques I learned.  If you think you can't draw, think again!  Take a few classes and unlock a creative activity you can do anywhere! I was tasked to find a space for a creative department offsite for the ad agency I work at. I was so happy to find this space. Kelly was AMAZING and accommodating. We had a pretty small budget, but she really stretched it to the distance. She provided bar tenders and a dj as well as had all sorts of delicious snacks for us to munch on in addition to screen printing stations. I wish I could give this place infinite stars...it was beyond all my expectations.<br><br>We signed up my boys for a half-day camp and they had so much fun, painting, drawing, crafting and creating. They were so covered in paint when I came to get them I knew they had had a blast. I love to see them like that, shows that they really got their hands dirty and enjoyed themselves.<br><br>They're in a new location now on Water Street and it's enormous. The staff was so sweet and friendly, I felt like I had known them for years. I can't wait to come back here with my boys. What a gem! More...

My 6 year old son had a fabulous experience at Creatively Wild Holiday Art Camp over the 2017-2018 winter holiday. He made amazing sculptures and paintings, loved the team of artists who guide the kids in their art, and enjoyed the various other group activities between projects including a dance party! For his sculpture work, he made a family of cheetahs mama with 5 cubs. They look adorable on his bureau at home and inspire him to pursue his love of art! More...

My children attended art classes at Creatively Wild for a number of years, and they always had the best time, made great art and created meaningful relationships with the teachers and other students. But the team at Creatively Wild totally blew me away with what they did when we recently had our daughter's 4th birthday there. They decorated the whole studio to fit her theme, came up with a customized art project that the kids loved, had a ton of staff on hand to help every step of the way, and then at the end of the party transformed the space for a rocking dance party that the adults and kids loved. Audrey, 7 became a prolific painter, and has come to identify as a working artist. I especially love her 3D whale made of paper mache and plaster of paris. My daughter did the Spring Break Animation Camp - a cool $750 for 5 days 9:30-3:30. I have experienced better - my mistake was to send my 12 year old there as I think they only really cater to smaller children (judging by the excellent reviews here). Her group was pretty much left to there own devices with not much tuition.  I expected more for the money but you live and learn. New York Film Academy only $300 more and is more comprehensive and covers much more. More...

I cannot recommend Creatively Wild highly enough. We signed my son up for animation camp for two weeks over spring break. I wasn't sure if he'd go for it for 6 hours a day . He loved every minute! The teachers are creative and kind; they let the students lead, but always encourage new ways of doing things. He came home every day with new movies, and new ideas for more movies. Love this place. I sent my child to their art camp during Christmas week, and she loved it so much that I sent her to it again on MLK Day.  The teachers are great and my child was thrilled with the art that she came home with .  And it wasn't just finger painting or scribbles (my child is almost 3) - it was art that was based on a Rousseau painting that they had studied that day.  She insisted on hanging it up on her wall and looks at and talks about it every day. I absolutely adore Creatively Wild because I feel like my kids get an authentic art studio experience with outdoor time at the foot of the spectacular Brooklyn Bridge Park! DM, Murphy and the outstanding team at CW are so respectful of the little Picassos who come through the door - I have been blown away by the volume and quality of REAL art projects that the kids have come home with! This is THE place to go for intercession camps, summer camps - they are super flexible as well!  DM also has a real talent for hiring teaching artists who get young kids and have a real respect and reverence for budding artists! With a week off of school, we decided to send our 9 yr old daughter there for 1/2 day. The space is tucked away in dumbo at what almost would look like a secret location to wonderland ! !! Every day our Samantha came home with multiple pieces that she made that morning. And they weren't just finger painting on paper. You can see there is concept being taught and my girl loved it every day. She began to do more things at home also. <br>The staff is truly wonderful and you can tell they love what they are doing. I've now sent my 7 year old son to several half- and full-day camp sessions and my 2.5 year old daughter to weekly classes, and I cannot say enough about DM and her wonderful program and staff. My children have tons of fun and feel perfectly at home in the Creatively Wild studio, and the artwork they bring home is truly impressive. The teachers provide a little bit of guidance but it is clear from the pride on the kids' faces that they have put time, hard work and heart into their creations. Highly recommend. More...

We absolutely love Creatively Wild, DM and the whole crew. In addition to my daughter's amazing 6th birthday party that we recently held at CW, our two girls have spent countless hours creating in the studio - at camps, afternoon classes, birthdays and at their free pop-ups around DUMBO. Creatively Wild is a DUMBO gem. After a day at CW, my 6 year old said "your dreams come true there!"<br><br>The birthday party was also truly awesome. DM and her staff went above and beyond. The kids had a blast creating large, fierce, incredibly decorated, papier mache animals. The music set the vibe - and a kids dance party broke out at the end. I celebrated my daughters 3rd birthday here today... !The staff is absouletly amazing! They made the kids (and Adults) laugh. .. they all went above and beyond the extra mile to make sure my daughter had a perfect birthday party! The studio is lovely, the crafts the kids make and get to take home are awesome! I mean even the view outside of the place is awesome! This is hands-down my favorite enrichment class for my children, ages 4 and 6.  DM and her staff treat her students with respect while caring for them and encouraging them to to create beautiful art.  Naturally the kids LOVE the autonomous vibe  and create real Art.  (Most of the artwork in my home was made by my kids under her tutelage.)  Another big plus is that DM understands the hassles of making plans way in advance for kids and has a very workable drop-in policy.  There is no NY ego, velvet rope, you missed the cutoff attitude here.  It's the bomb for parents and kids. We had my Son's 7th Birthday here and it was great!<br><br>The event was well-staffed and the employees worked together to ensure a seamless event.  We were able to pick a topic for the kids art project so it was personalized to our sons interests.  Everything about the day of the event was handled by Creatively Wild including pizza and enormous cupcakes from One Girl Cookie.  It went off without a flaw and the kids had lots of fun.  <br><br>The staff truly enjoyed creating a enjoyable experience for the children and this enthusiasm shows! Creatively Wild Art Studio is truly one of a kind. I had taken my daughter to many other art classes before finding Creatively Wild, NOTHING comes even came close to the level of skill of the teachers, the quality of materials, and most important the appreciation of the artist within each individual child. The children paint on real canvases and explore endless tools and materials. We had a very special bond with both DM, the owner, and her teacher, Vicky, but all of the teachers there are amazing. She went 3 times a week, 2 and +hours each time, in 2 month. She made more than 10 fantastic art pieces. DM and her Creatively Wild team donated their time and materials for an art class with the kids at the Ronald McDonald House of New York.  They created awesome Superhero canvases which the kids covered in paint, glitter, rhinestones and even deconstructed typewriter pieces.  The CW team was patient, warmly guiding, incredibly creative and caring with these kids who are real-life superheroes.  The artwork and the memories will be cherished. My kids made art that I didn't have to secretly throw away. <br>I like this place because:<br>1. They know what they are talking about- its not all about glitter and rainbows. <br>2. They know how to interact with kids- my kids didn't want to leave at the end of the day.<br>3. They know what is age appropriate- there are so many programs that are geared to toddlers around here, it's refreshing to see something cool for school-aged kids as well.<br>4. We LOVE this Art studio.   My 8 yr old daughter started taking art lessons this past spring.  We were looking for a real art studio to teach her technique and we found it.  DM and all of her staff are amazing.  Not only is the instruction great but the classes are loads of fun.  We also just had her birthday party there and it was inspiring to see all of her friends creating such beautiful pieces.
