Jillian matched us with the perfect dog for my daughter, then carefully trained him for both gluten detection and anxiety support. Chewie was the greatest gift we could give our girl. He's kept her safe physically (she has Celiac and was horribly sick for years before he arrived), and continues to provide fuzzy snuggles and love when she's feeling low. Working with Creating New Tails to get a fully trained gluten-detecting service dog was an amazing choice. I have had two dogs trained by Jill for gluten detection and psychiatric support. I’d really like to spotlight my superstar, Ollie, who graduated in 2018. Ollie was a wild dog who got kicked out of doggy daycare in 2017 when he first was adopted. He had some of the worlds scariest separation anxiety and was unable to be left alone. Jill completely transformed him into the world’s best dog. He is on point with his gluten detection, does deep pressure therapy instinctively, and has been my right hand man for two years. I no longer need treatment for my celiac and Crohn’s because he keeps me so safe from Gluten. I also have gone into remission with my Crohn’s disease because of how controlled my diet has been. when my son, Riley, got sick I was scared. I was beyond scared. I wondered what would happen if he was by himself and had an episode? would someone find hin in time? would they know what to do? and then I found Creating New Tails. my son just got his service dog, Xena, a month ago and we couldnt be more pleased. she has got to be one of the smartest dogs,actually, the smartest dog I've ever met. not only does she bring him joy, she brings me peace of mind. now he has a forever friend and a guardian angel! Creating New Tails has completely changed my life for the better. Back in 2016 I began to suffer from severe depression and anxiety, the escalation of which caused my family and I to decide that I would greatly benefit from having a service dog. After doing loads of research we came across Creating New Tails, and it struck me how devoted the head and founder Jillian Skalky is to training these wonderful dogs as well as guiding you, the handler, throughout the process. Over the course of several months Creating New Tails trained my beautiful German Shepherd Anny to perform the task of “Deep Pressure Therapy,” the task of “Block,” and the task of “Watch My Back,” all instrumental in making me feel more secure when out in public and when I experience panic attacks. Jillian Skalky also taught me personally as a handler, and stressed the importance of the relationship and communication that you and your service dog develop together. This is what I felt really set Creating New Tails apart: the training of both dog and owner. When Anny ultimately graduated from her training, I felt so confident in my ability to handle her and continue her training, as well as in my dog’s ability to perform her tasks of service for me. I not only gained an amazingly trained dog and best friend-I also gained confidence in my abilities and myself. This is all due to Creating New Tails and their dedication and devotion to the work they do. And though my dog has graduated, our relationship hasn’t ended! As I am located near their headquarters, they are always there and available to do any follow-up sessions if I feel like I need them and to board my Anny in case of an emergency.
