What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Taking a great photograph requires both extensive technical knowledge and skilled artistry. It also requires understanding the end-goal and end-user, as every client and project is different. While the term great is subjective, we utilize the most objective standards possible and visual guidelines like moodboards to make sure we are heading the right direction for your project.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
With every new client, we love diving into who you are, why you do what you do, and how we can help. Be prepared for us to ask you many questions during our onboarding process. We do this so we can have an excellent working relationship and produce the best end result. Here are just a few of our usual questions:
- Why are you coming to us?
- Tell us about you/your business.
- What is your role with your company? Are there other key players/decision-makers involved in this project?
- Why do you do what you do?
- Why do you need this work at this time?
- Does your business have a brand or style guide?
- Do you have examples of photos/video/other media that you like and would like us to match our work to? (We'll never copy, but guidelines are great and help everyone get on the same page!)
- Do you have a specific date this work needs to be completed?

- What is your required turnaround time?

What inspired you to start your own business?
Creatiful developed out of seeing a need for excellent marketing and branding materials for small businesses. From taking every job we could get to now working with global companies, we strive to be excellent in all we do. We also believe that the stories we tell and how we share them shapes our lives in powerful ways. That is our approach to both marketing and content-creation: story over content.
