Food is downright awful and expensive. Ordered the brussel sprouts and they came out within three minutes. That is way too fast of a ticket time especially when there were 8 other tables meaning it was not prepared with much care. The sprouts were undercooked and there 8 of them for $10. We all ordered burgers and all 3 of them were charred and way overcooked. They tasted like a frozen costco patty just got slapped on a grill after being in the freezer for 13 months. The Bahn Moo burger had no taste whatsoever. The server was good though, that's it. Patio is a nice setup but can't imagine ever going there again. The food quality needs a full revamping or else they'll go out of business quick. Should also probably have other beer options other than craft beer for people who don't like it. More...

Horrible service, food takes forever and is not good.Ate here twice. First time we waited for hours for our food only for them to tell us they ran out of ingredients for the pizzas and were running to the store for more. ..?Food portions are extremely small for the prices and not good.Decided to give it another shot. Same exact experience. Took nearly an hour for the food... some dishes it was even 90 minutes. The beer was great but the $10.00 Saprano Salad was so small the waitress apologized and said they had reduced the portion recently. Fish and fries good but the fries were warm not hot.Chicken wings were warm not hot.This is not our first visit previously service was extremely slow -this time food generally small portions and cold!They have raised their prices and give smaller portions. Apparently there was one cook at lunch today. Waited over an hour to get food and we had to leave before it was made because our 2 year old daughter needed to take a nap. The table next to us got all their food even though we sat down at the same time. We put in our order for our kids food as soon as we sat down - before the table next to us ordered. On top of it the table had ketchup on it when we sat down. No one was cleaning or sanitizing tables! More...

Poor support for a customer in need.  Customer unresponsive and I asked the management for assistance and nothing happened.  I ended up calling 911 and the ER team said that they were going to transport her to the ER. Sad. Happen a few weeks ago and just now posting.  You can check public records.  I hate when people and institutions turn a blind eye to try to protect there selves and the institution.  Never going back!!! What a wonderful place! We try to bike ride the beach as much as possible, safely distancing and covering our faces, obviously.  We found this place along our ride. Creatively, they have figured out how to pivot during these crazy times. They have a great, inviting outdoor area that looks well thought out. It doesn't look like there's a pandemic in the city and they need outdoor seating for survival. I guess, they're lucky they have a space to build out a fun and practical patio, however, their hospitality is special. If I ever open a restaurant, I definitely want to make sure that I have an outdoor space. We are lucky we are in California.  I want to learn from this place-- they are getting it right (for now, and, I believe-- for later). Speaking with Andrew, we learned a lot about their lessons learned along the way. It's a wonderful story.  I love how they help other local businesses utilize their space when they're not open. Community!!!!   We were super excited to meet him and to listen to his stories and how he was trying to make it work for, not only his restaurant, but for his family of workers. The beer options were great! Whether you want a simple Pilsner for the hot day, or a hoppy IPA for a bolder taste, they've got you covered. Their food options are simple, yet, creative and full of flavor. We ordered the Thai flat bread was incredible! We also ordered the street poke which was a perfect start and a great share.  I want to thank Andrew and the team there for providing a wonderful experience, a delicious meal, and yummy drinks for us. I had their signature burger & the Disco Daze IPA while outdoor-seated for lunch on a gray-cold fire-smoggy day. There were many large tables in their patio (although currently empty) for future stops going to or from the beach to enjoy a few craft brews in a well-spaced outdoor beach setting. It was cold that day, but I enjoyed a citrus-y IPA with the most tender burger I can remember having in ever. Tomatoes & avocado in tantalising pieces with what was a startlingly good quality of beef, cooked perfectly medium. The lovely waitperson informed me the chef was from the Food Network. Impressive! Great view from the outside patio setting. The place is literally across the parking structures to the right. Come with at least a 30 min advanced time as parking is difficult to find. It is meter parking so if you need to add more time you can walk over. Hand sanitizers at eat table which is a great idea to have. Pet friendly, only thing I do recommend is to bring your own doggie bowl as they dont have any for pet lovers. Food is good small portions to go along with your beer and/or wine. More...

Never been to this area before so we checked out the Yelp reviews and saw a lot of good ones, so in we go. Well sort of in. They don't currently have indoor dining but they've done an amazing job converting their parking lot to a socially distanced table garden replete with high cable-spool tables and astro-turf! Really clever and very well done. So, I'm not "in the know" enough to know who Rahm Fama is but the food was quite creative and very tasty so good job there. We started with the "Queens Favorite" crispy brussels sprouts, goat cheese and lemon gremolata with a balsamic drizzle. A solid choice but not amazing. I you love brussels then sure, but otherwise I'd try something else. Moving on to the Street Poke, Ahi tuna marinated in ponzu, green onion, pickled onion, topped with Sriracha aioli and sesame seeds on top of wonton chips. We all loved this one and gobbled it down in seconds. But the best was yet to come: Short Rib Poutine. Boom this one was off the charts! Crispy fries covered in beer cheese sauce and topped with tender beef short rib and grilled onions. OMG, its a heart attack on a plate but damn you'll die happy :-) So if you can believe it there was one person in our group that was still hungry and he ordered the Chilango Flatbread: marinated chicken, chicharrones, fire-roasted corn, cheddar cheese, topped with fresh cilantro, jalapenos and crema. Just delicious. Yeah, we all had a bite for sure :-) So this is a great "go to" place if you are in Hermosa Beach, check it out you wont be disappointed! Oh did I mention they have a solid selection of craft beer?  Good offerings from all around the LA area and beyond in most styles? Decided to grub here on a Saturday night. Stumbled upon it while walking around in the neighborhood. Had perfect social distancing protocols and really enjoyed the outdoor seating. Also, pet friendly environment. It was around 8:30 as we arrived and were able to put in food and drink orders, since they close at 10. Last call for food is 9. I ordered the poke and definitely would recommend- I give it an 8/10 only because the portion of it could have been more, but taste wise it was the right amount of spicy and droolin' good! For drinks, I wanted something light and refreshing for a beer- hit or miss! I ended up getting the blood orange Hefeweizen, and wow this was spot on to my likings! Also, we ordered the classic burger and to be honest, it was mediocre. It took a while about 15-20 minutes to get our food, but we were in no hurry. Overall, giving this spot a 4/5! More...

This place is amazing! Food great, beer great, service personnel great... just wish they had more servers i felt so bad for the woman helping us. Busy Saturday night and they had 2 servers that also acted as hostess, one bar back, and maybe one or two cooks. It's a great location in Hermosa with fantastic food you would have thought the owner would have brought on more staff. This is the new best place in all of South Bay! Not only are they in a prime location (on Hermosa's main street one block off the pier) with an amazing outdoor seating (they converted what was an old parking lot into a great outdoor space with turf and high top seating with umbrellas) but their food is delicious and the owner, Andrew is the best! My friends and I went halves on two burgers (Hermosa & Bahn Moo) and we loved lovedddddd LOVED both. Also their pork belly mac n cheese is great too and served in a skillet which I appreciated. I don't drink so I can't speak to the beers, but from what I could tell from my friends who all were drinking it appeared that they had a great selection for my friends to choose from and the server was great in answering all of their taste questions when they wanted something sweet. COVID 19 Review:: I could not recommend this place more. My girlfriends and I went on a bike ride throughout Hermosa to find a place to eat that we felt the most safe during this crazy time. Crafty Minds was absolutely the best set-up that we came across. The owner personally came to our table to introduce himself and made our first-time experience lovely. We enjoyed our Rose socially distant from all and feeling safe with antibacterial gel at every table.Only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because the portions are very small. Crafty Minds used their crafty minds and transformed their front parking lot into a large "beer garden" patio space. We visited for the first time today and were very impressed with how they've adapted given the strict CDC Covid guidelines they must adhere to. Staff were masked up & guests were required to wear them while waiting to be seated. The owner even brought each table their own hand sanitizer bottle which was very appreciated. They have a QR code menu which is super easy to use on your own phone & so much more sanitary than individual menus. Staff as always were professional, aware, and prompt. We just moved back from New York and my wife's favorite fries are from Boardwalk fries. She had a craving and heard they had one in Hermosa. Headed down to find it had changed over to a craft beer bar. Nothing wrong with that. We grabbed a seat.  Casual. Nothing fancy. Our server, Veronica, WAS AMAZING!! This women knows her beer. She guided us through the whole selection and was extremely knowledgeable about all of it. I had a Hefeweisen. My wife doesn't like beer and Veronica turned her onto a Pineapple cider. She loved it! The fries ended up not being the east coast Boardwalks but Veronica talked us into staying for dinner. The Get Shorty burger was delicious and the fries were not bad! My Wife had The Chilango flatbread. The Chilango was spicer than expected but still delicious. We will most definitely be back to see Veronica and to check out the rotating beer/cider choices. This is a fun gastopub with seasonal beers, wines and sharable plates. The staff is so dang nice, it's kinda incredible these days to experience. They also have a deal called the "Mug Club" and with a membership fee, you can have your own mug (that you can decorate as you wish) and for the price of a regular beer, you get the equivalent of 1-1/2 beers, every time you visit. One of the most bomb restaurants in Hermosa Beach. The Piggy Pork Belly Mac could be classified as one of the best dishes I have tasted in my entire life. The food was good.If I was a beer drinker a lot of choices but I am a chardonnayperson and would like to see more choices.  Our group came in for a happy hour and they have a wonderful bartender Justine. If you ain't coming to this place off pier avenue, you are screwing up more then a 2nd grader who still thinks girls have cooties. Get some crispy yard zingers and your zinger will be a winger ya know what I mean ;) ;) Crowd is usually light because of California being Liberal AF and people probably going out eating poke balls (this place got them too) and burgers made from wheat and white dog crap to preserve the earth.  Listen.
