What do you love most about your job?
I love developing a friendly relationship with my wedding clients with light, easy going communication by text message. This helps everyone feel more at ease in the information gathering phase and allows me to get to know the bride and groom’s personalities and style. It also helps when I need to refer back to something that was discussed. Bringing together the perfect color and flower palette in a digitally designed Floral Moodboard is so creative for me and my clients love the sneak peek as to how everything looks together. Of course, my absolute best love is designing gorgeous showpiece bridal bouquets and matching headpieces. It fills my heart and is such an honor to see the bride carrying the bouquet I created with my hands on her wedding day.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always loved designing with faux flowers and it was a natural progression to start working with fresh floral. During my formal floral design training with the respected Floral Design Institute, my love and creativity blossomed along with my skill level. With the encouragement of Leanne Kessler, owner of FDI, I decided to get my Certified Floral Designer credentials from the respected American Institute of Floral Design- AIFD FDI CFD. This was the gateway that built my confidence to start my own studio floristry business. It has been a wonderful ride and I wouldn’t change a thing!
