Tasty tasty food. Had the crispy chicken burger, river fries, plantains, brussel sprouts, and mac & cheese, and everything was delicious. It was too good to take the time to take pictures of it. I heard their burgers were great and I must agree. My first visit so I tried the burger with whiten cheddar and bacon and really enjoyed it. It was cool enough to sit outside; outside is right up my alley, but don't sit outside if you (or like me, the person I went with) have a fear of being hit by traffic. The burger was delicious and cooked medium rare as I asked which is a novelty in this city recently. The compote was messy which was not unexpected but still sticky so avoid if you are on lunch break. The brussel sprouts would convert even the greatest of haters or toddlers. I want to try the figgy toast but did not get a chance on this visit. The fries were basic tge bbq sauce was good and definitely had the homemade tomatoe base but good flavor and not over sweet. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Cobb Salad without the bacon. It was pretty darn good. Just one minor flaw, it had just a smidge too much blue cheese. I've noticed that the restaurants here in NOLA don't offer bread with lunch or dinner and the breakfasts don't include potatoes of any kind. What you order is what you get and nothing more. At this restaurant I noticed a couple was seated before we were, and they arrived at least 10 minutes after we did. I was upset about that. I also noticed at the restaurants I've eaten at, the food is slooow to arrive. The taste and flavor of the food makes up fo lack of expedience. More...
