Great food!!! I just wish when they serve food to the wrong person in my table, they will just replace it with a new one instead of getting it( yuca fries) and giving it to the right person especially if it was already served for a few minutes. Other restaurants usually replace it since it was their fault. But aside from that, it’s a good place to eat lunch!!! More...

I love trying Peruvian restaurants, this particular was recommended by a friend. The waiter was very nice and have us the regular menu, lunch and kids menu so we have plenty of choices. It was me with husband and our daughters 7 and 11 yrs old. We share a delicious huge bowl of soup as an appetizer. Aguadito de pollo, delish. Then we each had a dish and the plates are pretty big with an extra side. I had Lomo saltado and the meat was super! The yuca just amazing. My 7 yr old had the rice and beans and she loved it! This place was BYOB or wine but that was ok with us. No room left for dessert. Just great food overall! More...

Went here for a birthday dinner. My friends and I enjoyed the Atlantic cod, churrasco, and seafood soup. It’s BYOB so we had a lovely red wine to accompany our meal. The service was great as well

Beautiful cozy restaurant in the heart of Montclair NJ. The food is super Delish and the waiters are very knowledgeable about the cuisine, the ingredients and how it's made. Very impressive. Great place to take your spouse or significant other as well as your family. It's a BYOB. I had the steak with fries and a side order of string beans, absolutely delicious and my hubby had the steak with pasta and loved his dish as well. I thought the service was amazing, if you have Alfonso as a waiter then you'll enjoy your entire evening. The food was delicious and the presentation of the food was gorgeous. Each meal was enough to serve two people so my boyfriend and I only ordered Food enough for 1. The chicken soup I ordered was so big it was easily split in two bowls and my god was it good *drool*. We had also ordered an empanada and since we were eating soup, the 1 empanada split in half was enough for both of us. We then ordered the tallarin con bistek with pesto sauce and it was phenomenal. For desert I definitely recommend the Lucuma ice cream! It's like what you'd think a fall yankee candle would taste like, ugh it was amazing. And the Tres leches? So soft and juicy and beautifully presented with the whip cream on top and the caramel drizzled over. Like I said, if you have Alfonso as a waiter, all of your food will be beautifully presented, we could see him cleaning the plate after pouring the caramel on top, making sure everything looked perfect. The interior design of the restaurant is creative and warm, around 5pm they bring out the candles and we just felt so cozy while eating our desserts. IT IS A LITTLE PRICEY, our check came out to around $60 even though we only ordered food for 1 person BUT, the food and experience was so worth it. Definitely recommend and would definitely go again! Great find on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, NJ. The ambiance is warm and casual and the waitstaff is extremely knowledable about Peruvian food and is always willing to assist you. For appetizers the cerviche is wonderful. Many different types of cerviche are available and they have the correct balance of flavors. The quinona-crusted fish fritters were so delectable that I want to order them every time that I visit Costanera! The lomo saltado entree was equally as tasty over crispy French fries. Loved the food here!! We got the Oysters, fried Yucca, and the Churrasco a lo Pobre. Its BYOB so we grabbed some wine and beer! I didnt know they took reservations so I was originally told that there was about an hour wait. We heard great reviews of the food so we decided to wait. They offered to open the wine for us and give us wine glasses so we could enjoy the wine while we waited. We ended up only waiting 20 mins to half hour which was great! They sat us and the service and food was great! Please do yourself a favor and check this place out! More...
