I met with Susannah weekly for a 3 month window of time with the intent of a mind/body re-set. She initially evaluated my exercise and nutrition habits and then made suggestions for new patterns to incorporate week by week. She eased me into strength building workouts providing an educational foundation for how to safely complete each exercise. As my body grew stronger, my confidence also grew and I was able to release the fear that I would do something incorrectly to hurt or embarrass myself. (This had been a major inhibitor of participating in group classes.) She understood my diet needs and preferences and did everything she could to educate and empower me to make choices that were healthier and more nutritious. I now feel better able to stand up for myself and on my own two feet. Strong and ready to move forward! Been working with Susannah for about seven months with my partner and we feel great! She's not only getting us in shape for our wedding, but teaching us how to be more health conscious food-wise. We do a range of strength and cardio with her during our sessions then she gives us "homework" workouts bookended with yoga and walking for the rest of the week. It's actually quite fun and she makes sure you're using the proper technique. She's a responsible trainer who will not push you to the breaking point that will potentially put you in danger of injury. Finally, she's very good with communication throughout the week to see how we are feeling, if we are sore, if we liked the new routines, etc. More...

I am one of Susannah's distance clients and have recently employed her services to help me get my meals back on track.  I like to cook, but recently haven't been making the time to do so.  We would then find ourselves hungry and without food in the fridge . . . which means we would eat out more than we should.  I wanted to break this cycle, and Susannah was the perfect person to help me!Susannah worked with me to create a simple and realistic plan that will fit into my life.  She helped me to realize that my "ideals" were too time-consuming and would ultimately be discouraging.  She instead gave me lots of ideas for simple meals that are versatile, nutritious and affordable, and helped me to set goals that are achievable and sustainable.   Susannah is:- supportive- realistic- understanding- motivating- caring- non-judgemental- fun!  She is excited to help, and her positive energy is contageous.After my sessions with her, I feel like I come away with a plan that I'm actually excited to carry out.  Thanks, Susannah! I have loved working with Susannah and am impressed by how she targets particular problem areas to build strength, balance and endurance. She motivates me to work much harder than I would on my own or in a gym class.  Since I've been training with her, my knee pain has almost disappeared (it's all in the glutes!), my upper body strength has really increased and my balance is much better.  I like her positive enthusiasm and feel that when I am there in her studio she gives me her absolute undivided attention.  She knows how to work around pain and old injuries and always checks in to make sure that what we are doing feels right.  Each workout builds on the last and she keeps her workouts varied and interesting.  If you are looking for someone to motivate and help you train for an event or simply need to keep strong and toned, Susannah is great! Susannah always intuitively knows what I need.  I am a long distance client, and through text and calls I get a new, fun workout.  I see my results in both strength and conditioning- I feel great!  We discuss nutrition and share ideas, this is helpful if feeding just myself or my whole family.  Susannah offers me invaluable coaching on keeping to my fitness and nutrition plans!
